Chapter 158: Chapter 158

"Woah! I’m a spirit queen? That means I’m awesome, right?"

"Hell yeah, you’re awesome, Aryah. But can you fix the damage you caused? You kind of went over the top while killing Nimreth."

"Easy peasy." With the flick of her wrist, all the damage Alfeim took from the start of the demon invasion up til now was restored to its former glory. Buildings and other man-made structures that were destroyed were still destroyed, but the land itself was fixed.

Zion was in awe. "Wow, best spirit ever."

"Hehe, you’re the best as well, master."

"Thank you, Zion. For everything." Melina smiled.

"No problem."

Everyone flew to the ruined castle where Valindra was sitting safely with the heads of her family, still crying.

Zion sympathized with her, allowing her to cry on his shoulder.

All around them, throughout Alfheim, another invasion took place. It seemed after Nimreth revealed herself, all of the demons and demonic humans started attacking once more. It was a brutal sight, and the elves were not winning at all.

"Melia, Valindra, I truly wish that you would consider joining me. If so, your land and people will thrive beyond your comprehension. But if you choose not to, then I’m sorry for what’s about to happen."

They both looked at him with a confused expression, not understanding what he meant.

"What are you-"

"Heaven’s Bane, head my call. Full-scale invasion, now." He ordered. "Drive out the demons...and take over this land."

Melia’s eyes widened with anger. "Zion! What are you-"

He used his aura force to keep them in place. Since Melina was weak right now, he had the strength to do so. "I’m sorry." He said. Then he placed a miniature nullvoid rune on their bodies, forcing their magic into slumber.

"Zion! Why? Why are you doing this?!" Valindra begged, crying harder.

"Because it’s my mission. I promise to not harm you or your people, but you’re gonna have to stay out of this for a while."

Just then, thousands of aircraft flew into Alfheim’s airspace. Helicopters, jets, cargo planes, and more filled the air. Thousands more people flew in themselves, all drawing nanotech armor and advanced weaponry.

Land vehicles such as tanks and armored cars drove into the forest, and troops on foot marched behind them, armed with pulsar guns and swords made of photon energy.

In all, over a million people from Heaven’s Bane answered Zion’s call, and this wasn’t even half of his army, only those who were in close by.

Then, something from the sky landed with brutal force next to Zion, picking up dirt and dust that clouded the air.

"Hey, Mom." Zion greeted.

"My beautiful baby boy!" Zaleena hugged Zion tightly, kissing him passionately as she missed him dearly.

"Heh, nice to see you as well. Wait, did you get stronger?"

"Yup, I mastered your Stage four Mana method, with the, uh, Dantians?"

"Yeah, dantians. But already? It hasn’t even been a week."

"I can say the same thing to you." She smiled

"Fair, I guess."

"Zaleena? You’re in on this, too?" Melina asked, her voice shaky.

Looking at her friend, Zaleena could only sigh. "Listen, Melly, I know this might be tough for you, but I promise that everything we’re doing is for the best. You’re my friend, so I wanted you to join us as well. Think on it, kay?"

A tractor beam then pulled Melina and Validra up into the sky until they were inside one of the jets that were hovering over their location.

"Do you sense that?" She asked her son.

"Yeah, I do. It’s a demon, as strong as Anastasia if I’m not mistaken. He’s a part of a demon council that operates in the shadows to bring down the middle world. I’m guessing he’s out now since things weren’t going as planned."

"What else can you tell me about him?"

"Not much. His name is Xalvorn, and his goal was to corrupt the world tree, enslave spirits, and take the world tree saplings. Oh, and take the holy relic of this land."

"I see. I’ll bring back his head." She rocketed off in the direction of Xalvorn without a second thought.

’Zion, where is Nimreth’s body?’ Luminera asked.

"Over there." He pointed off in one direction.

’Go to it.’

Instead, Zion just pulled it over with his Aura Force. He looked at the dead Nimreth, who was split in two from the head to the waist, while her lower body was still intact.

"What do you need with it?" He wondered, examining the body, but not finding anything special about it.

"This." Luminera appeared beside him, or her spectral form did. She hovered her hand above Nimreth’s body, and a white essence that escaped her body was absorbed into Luminera’s hand.

"What the fuck was that? Did you just eat her soul? Who are you? Shang Tsung?"

"Your soul is mine!" Luminera mimicked

"How the hell do you know that?"

"Hahaha, no, I didn’t eat her soul. I absorbed the holy power that was given to her by Freya."

"Is that even legal? How are you able to absorb the power of another god?"

"Because she’s my daughter."

Zion stared at Luminera with wide eyes. He blinked, closing his eyes tightly, then looked at her again. "She’s your what?"

"I’ll explain everything later. For now, go get the Ancient Relic." She disappeared frёewebnoѵēl.com

"You can’t drop some insane lore on me like that and just run away! Fucking coward!"

"Master, what’s an ancient relic?" Aryah asked while floating around Zion’s head as if she were lying on a bed.

"It’s a weapon that makes things go boom."

"Really?! I love things going boom!"

"Yeah, me too. Let’s go find it."

Since the castle was destroyed, Zion had to remove all of the debris out of his way. Thankfully, the relic was underground and not under all the stone and wood.

"Here," Zion said. "Dig a hole straight down and we should end up in the cav-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Aryah didn’t wait for Zion to finish his sentence. She grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and blasted a hole straight down to where the ancient relic was being kept.
