He stopped in the bathroom doorway and looked back. "You the Atalanta kid?"
"Yeah," Demien said.
"Saw the final." Phillips leaned against the doorframe. "That turn for the third goal. The drag-back before the shot. Where did that come from?"
"Muscle memory," Demien said.
Phillips considered this for a second. "Yeah," he said, which was enough, and went into the bathroom and closed the door.
The water ran. Demien lay back on the bed and looked at the ceiling while his body continued integrating the session’s upgrades, and the last panel still sat at the edge of his vision.
