When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 682: Labor Contractions Began
She held her belly with both hands, carefully feeling the contractions that were about to start. If they became frequent, she would have to go to the hospital.
Adrian Lancaster called the elders to sit down, and everyone started talking about the topic of childbirth.
The Lancaster Elders were eagerly anticipating the upgrade in their family status.
Adrian Lancaster helped his wife settle into the sofa, "Be careful, honey."
As soon as Faye Turner sat down, the tightness in her belly came again, more pronounced than before.
About ten minutes later, Chloe Gable also arrived. Seeing The Lancaster Elders there, she smiled and greeted everyone, looking a bit apprehensive.
"Mom, come over and sit!"
Adrian Lancaster stood up and went to the door, took her arm, "From now on, we’ll all accompany Faye until she gives birth."
As Adrian Lancaster led her towards the sofa, he whispered proudly, "Now you know how much your daughter is valued in The Lancaster Family, right?"
The relief in Chloe Gable’s heart had long settled; Adrian Lancaster was genuinely good to Faye, she had seen it for herself.
"Please, come sit here," Eliza Hayes offered kindly, relinquishing the main seat.
Everyone was immersed in the joy of Faye’s imminent delivery, discussing matters like what brand of baby formula to choose, what kind of full-month celebration to hold, and what kindergarten to select.
In the midst of joyful conversations, Faye Turner felt the tightness in her belly become more pronounced, and the intervals between contractions were shortening.
Based on her judgment, she knew these were true contractions and not false alarms.
The baby was getting ready to arrive!
She smiled and softly interrupted everyone, "Um... the baby might be eager to meet you all; I’m having contractions."
Upon hearing this, everyone became excited and nervous!
The next second, Adrian Lancaster quickly instructed his staff—
"Hurry! Prepare the car! To the hospital!!"
He helped Faye Turner stand up; it wasn’t easy to carry her with a sideways hold, Adrian Lancaster used all his strength to support her, even holding her belly, "How much does it hurt? Can you bear it?"
"It’s okay, it’s just contractions, not painful."
Eliza Hayes took the hospital bag, and the servants, both anxious and happy, escorted everyone to the yard.
The old man, leaning on his cane, was full of vigor, insisting on accompanying her to the hospital to wait for the baby’s arrival.
On the way to the hospital, Adrian Lancaster took out his phone, dialed the doctor’s number, and informed him of his wife’s condition.
In Adrian Lancaster’s twenty or thirty years of life, for the first time, he felt so, so nervous about a person or event!
He fervently wished he could give birth for her, not wanting her to endure any suffering.
"Faye, are you okay?" He hung up the phone and gently hugged her shoulder, asking tenderly, "Can you bear the pain now?"
Faye Turner had beads of sweat on her forehead, "The pain comes in waves, I can handle it. Don’t worry too much, when it’s not painful, there’s no issue."
Honestly, he was more nervous than she was! Gripping her hand tightly, wanting to give her strength.
On the way to the hospital, Adrian Lancaster occasionally planted a light kiss on her forehead, constantly encouraging her, "Hang in there, honey."
He leaned lightly against her belly, speaking earnestly, "Baby, listen up, don’t make it hard for Mommy. When you come out, make sure to push hard yourself, Daddy has a reward for you!"
Faye Turner endured the pain, amused by him, "What reward do you mean? The baby is so small, only six or seven pounds, how could they possibly understand?"
"Whether the baby understands doesn’t matter; it’s the thought from Daddy that counts."
Another contraction came more fiercely, lasting longer, a full three minutes, making her whole body tremble.
