Wasting Money to Become an Immortal-Chapter 281: New names
I tapped the small monkey on the head and then took out a peach that I put in front of its face.
The small monkey just looked at the peach in a daze for a few seconds before suddenly coming back to its senses.
It didn’t hesitate to grab the peach before biting into it.
In no time at all, the peach had been finished with only a single pit left that the small monkey threw down onto the ground.
Though there was only a pit left, the other spirit beasts all immediately looked at the pit that was thrown onto the ground. The only reason that they didn’t charge forward to fight for it was because the Four Kings were there.
But one could see the Four Kings also peeking at the peach pit on the ground from time to time.
Seeing this, I shook my head and took out four peaches for the four of them as well.
They all gave happy cries before taking the peach that was offered to them.
The small monkey looked like it wanted to take the peaches from them, but it knew that this was impossible since the Four Kings were much stronger than it. So the only thing that it could do was...
The small monkey jumped onto my shoulder and wanted to touch my face with its sticky hands as if it was going to beg for more, but I avoided it since it had sticky hands.
I didn’t want it touching me with these sticky hands after all.
The small monkey looked hurt when it saw me avoiding its hands like this and then it started moving around me as if it was trying to touch me with those hands.
I was able to keep avoiding it since I had already learned the technique from the Sixth Guardian Lord’s inheritance, so the small monkey wasn’t able to touch me in the end.
It just looked at me with a sad look as if it was hurt that I wouldn’t let it touch me, but I wouldn’t be fooled by that.
Once I had finished with the small monkey, I turned to the Four Kings and said, "Since you’re going to follow us, I should give you names." Then after a pause, I added, "That is unless you already have names."
The Four Kings looked at each other before shaking their heads.
It seemed like they didn’t have names yet.
I could even tell by the excited way that they looked at me that they were looking forward to receiving names from me.
So looking at the four of them, I started thinking of names for them.
The Thunderous Eagle was the easiest since there was one name that immediately popped into my mind.
"Bolt."
It was short for thunderbolt and it fit the Thunderous Eagle perfectly.
The Thunderous Eagle even danced around in the sky to show how happy it was for this name.
The Inferno Tortoise I had to think about for a bit before saying, "Igneel."
There was a saying that tortoises could one day become dragons, so I gave the Inferno Tortoises the name of a famous dragon from my previous life.
It seemed to enjoy this name quite a bit as it stomped its feet on the ground.
Then there were only two left.
It was harder for me to name these two since they weren’t animals that were as common, so there was no reference for me to name the two of them.
In the end, I just chose some random names.
Xiao Xue, that was what I named the Blizzard Lynx.
It was the only female sounding name among the four, but that was because it was the only one that was a female.
As for the Soul Rending Bunny, I just named it Xiao Hei because of its black fur.
It really was a lazy name, but there was already one rabbit that was named Xiao Bai.
So it seemed like Xiao Hei might work really well here...
After naming the four of them, it seemed like they were all happy with their names even though two of them seemed lazy.
But that was because it was me who named them.
I guess that was the effect of my title at work.
It made them happy that they were named even if these names weren’t as good...
But then I realized that there was one more that I had to name.
I had forgotten about it since I was so used to it not having a name, but it wasn’t as if I could keep ignoring this. Now that I had given the Four Kings a name, I had to give this small monkey a name too.
It was the first one that followed me, so it was the least that I could do for it.
But the small monkey seemed hard to find a name for.
I gave it several suggestions, but it didn’t seem to like any of the suggestions that I gave it.
It even seemed like the small monkey was even disdainful of the name that I wanted to give it.
So I could only keep thinking of new names until I finally got fed up and said, "Fine, since you don’t like any of these names, then let’s go with one that you like. Since you’re the descendant of the Great Sage, let’s just call you Wukong Junior."
To my surprise, the eyes of the small monkey lit up the moment that it heard this.
It suddenly pointed at me as if it was saying...
"That’s it!"
I had meant it as an insult, but somehow this was the name that the small monkey chose in the end.
There was nothing that I could do about this with how excited the small monkey seemed, so I could only let it name itself this.
At the same time, I said a silent apology to the Sixth Guardian Lord in my heart.
With that settled, I brought the Four Kings out of the Myriad Beast Valley.
