Chapter 280: Hard head

I couldn’t help shaking my head with a faint smile when I saw the Sixth Guardian Lord giving guidance to the small bunny like this.

This was certainly a good thing for me since I was planning on having this small bunny follow me around. The stronger it became, the better it was for me since that meant that I could show off even more.

But there was also something else that I felt that the Sixth Guardian Lord should take notice of.

So while the Sixth Guardian Lord was receiving the kowtows from the small bunny, I walked over to where my lackeys were.

I just ignored my lackeys who seemed like they wanted to talk to me and went past them to grab the small head of a certain thing.

I pulled this small monkey who seemed to be hiding amongst the lackeys out and brought it over to where the Sixth Guardian Lord was.

When I came back, the Sixth Guardian Lord had finished with the small bunny.

With the way that he was standing, it was almost as if he was planning to go back.

But I called out, "Wait, there’s something else that I want you to see."

The Sixth Guardian Lord stopped and suddenly turned around to look at me. As he did, it seemed like his attention was completely on me and he completely ignored the small monkey that I had grasped in my hand.

However, the small monkey didn’t seem like it was ignoring the Sixth Guardian Lord.

There was a look of awe that was on the small monkey’s face as it looked at the Sixth Guardian Lord.

This was the look of someone who had just met their idol and was currently being dazzled by them. It seemed like the small monkey looked up to the Sixth Guardian Lord and even seemed like it wanted to be like the Sixth Guardian Lord one day.

It was just too bad that the Sixth Guardian Lord completely ignored the small monkey.

"Young master, is there anything else I can do for you?" He said in a polite tone that was completely different from how he talked to the small bunny.

I raised the small monkey in my hand and said, "Shouldn’t you say something to your descendant?"

The Sixth Guardian Lord looked at the small monkey which caused the small monkey to turn away as if it was feeling shy.

After looking at the small monkey for a bit, the Sixth Guardian Lord said, "There’s a reason why I left my inheritance for everyone instead of just for my descendants. I was a special case, so it was impossible for my descendants to turn out the same way. I wanted those that received my inheritance to look out for my descendants and that was all that I wanted to give them. There’s nothing for me to say to this descendant of mine since it has inherited nothing from me."

Then as if he realized that he said something wrong, the Sixth Guardian Lord added, "Well it isn’t as if this descendant of mine hasn’t received anything."

The Sixth Guardian Lord raised a hand and tapped the head of the small monkey before saying, "They did inherit this strong head of mine. Or rather they inherited my strong bones since I was made of stone in the first place. But this little one seems to have taken it even a bit further and has bones stronger than mine."

Then he tapped the band that was on the small monkey’s head before saying, "That’s why this thing doesn’t work on it."

There was a faint smile that appeared on my lips since I already knew this, but hearing the Sixth Guardian Lord say this was a different feeling.

The small monkey didn’t say anything as it just let the Sixth Guardian Lord do all this.

This showed how much respect and admiration the small monkey had for the Sixth Guardian Lord.

Especially with the kind of personality that it had.

Once he finished tapping on the small monkey’s head, the Sixth Guardian Lord turned around to say, "Well, there’s nothing that I can teach it since it doesn’t have the same talents as me. Perhaps you might be able to find a body refining technique that suits it, but that’s not my forte."

Though it did seem like he had a faint smile as he said, "Young master, please take care of my descendant."

The way that he said this was as if he believed that I had some way of changing the small monkey’s future.

Well, I did have that in a way since I had the system’s cheat.

But the personality of the small monkey...

I guess that this would just be a matter of training it properly.

It wasn’t something that couldn’t be done, but it was something that would take a lot of effort.

Though it seemed like the small monkey seemed more willing after this encounter with the Sixth Guardian Lord.

The golden figure just suddenly disappeared as if it was scattering into nothingness.

When the Sixth Guardian Lord disappeared, the pressure that had been on everyone disappeared as well. All of them couldn’t help looking at Lin Fan with a strange look, but there was no one that approached.

That was except for the lackeys and Liu Ao Xue.

As for me, I turned to look at the Four Kings and asked, "Do you want to come with us?"

The Four Kings were surprised by this proposal, but they quickly nodded in agreement.

I gave each of them a single pet on the head before turning to give one to the small monkey as well.

It had been standing there in a daze looking at where its ancestor had been standing.

It seemed like it was deep in thought, but it was hard to guess what it had been thinking.

Though I did have an idea with the look in its eyes.
