Liu Shilin paused on the first floor for a moment before leading the Witch and Lin Kuang up to the second.

The three of them sat chatting with the door to the room left open, so anyone passing by could see them.

"You four, get out," Liu Dong said, turning to the women. "I have business to discuss with Young Master Ye." He shooed the four starlets out of the room, two of whom he had brought himself.

"What is it?" Ye Tiannan asked, startled by Liu Dong’s demeanor. "Has something happened?"

"Young Master Ye," Liu Dong said respectfully, "that kid you asked me to deal with, the one named Lin Kuang? He’s in the Peony Pavilion right now. And he’s with two girls. If I’m not mistaken, they must be Liu Shilin and Liu Shiyu."

Having already been berated by Ye Tiannan for his previous failure to deal with Lin Kuang, Liu Dong’s anger surged at this chance encounter.

"What? He’s here too?" Hearing Liu Dong’s words, Ye Tiannan shot upright, his eyes shifting constantly. His expression was a mixture of fear, venom, and overriding anger.
