Chapter 103: Chapter 103 Borrowing a Knife to Kill Someone

"Young Master Ye, that’s brilliant, truly brilliant!" Liu Dong, standing nearby, quickly began to flatter him, much to Ye Tiannan’s satisfaction.

"Enough," Ye Tiannan said with a sinister smile. "Stop flattering me and get to it. Han Qiaoqiao should be upstairs. Go find her. I think she’ll be very happy to hear this news."

"Right away, I’m on it!" With that, Liu Dong swiftly departed, heading straight for the fourth floor.

At the staircase, however, he was stopped. He didn’t have the authorization to go to the fourth floor.

"Gentlemen, please relay a message for me. Just say that Liu Dong has something important to discuss with Miss Han," Liu Dong said with a respectful smile.

Although the two guards didn’t know Liu Dong personally, they had heard his name and knew he was the son of the director of the Bureau of Industry and Commerce.

"Alright, Mr. Liu, please wait a moment. I’ll go see Miss Han," one of the men said before turning and heading to the fourth floor.

Liu Dong waited quietly at the staircase, confident that Han Qiaoqiao would see him. Sure enough, the man returned about ten minutes later.

"Mr. Liu, Miss Han will see you now. Please follow me," the man said.

Liu Dong smiled and nodded. "Thank you." He then followed the man up to the fourth floor.

This was Liu Dong’s first time on the fourth floor. The decor was magnificent, far more opulent than the third floor’s. As he walked, Liu Dong surreptitiously surveyed his surroundings until the man led him to the door of a private suite and stopped.

"Mr. Liu, please go in. Miss Han is waiting for you," the man said softly.

Liu Dong nodded and knocked gently.

"Come in," a woman’s voice called from inside.

Hearing the summons, Liu Dong smoothed his clothes, composed himself, and stepped into the room. It was an office flanked by genuine leather sofas. Opposite him was a large desk, and sitting behind it was a woman.

The woman was none other than Han Qiaoqiao, who currently wore a particularly arrogant expression. She puffed out her chest proudly, her beautiful eyes gazing indifferently at Liu Dong.

She was, of course, familiar with Liu Dong, as they had met more than once. Back when Han Qiaoqiao was fooling around with Ye Tiannan, Liu Dong had flattered her relentlessly.

"Liu Dong, long time no see." Watching the groveling man before her, Han Qiaoqiao smiled, her tone laced with a cool arrogance.

Liu Dong was inwardly annoyed but didn’t let a hint of it show on his face. "Long time no see, Miss Han. You’ve become even more beautiful," he said with a sycophantic smile, adopting an extremely humble posture.

Han Qiaoqiao giggled, seemingly satisfied with his performance. "Liu Dong, I know you’re a smart man, and I know you work for Ye Tiannan. So, what brings you to me?"

"Miss Han, I’ll get straight to the point, and I hope you won’t be offended," Liu Dong began, bowing his body slightly lower. "Young Master Ye heard that you had an unpleasant encounter with people from Yashi. Well, Yashi’s CEO, Liu Shilin, and that man, Lin Kuang, are in the Peony Pavilion on the second floor right now. Young Master Ye asked me to deliver this message, hoping it might be of use to you."

Upon hearing the name ’Yashi,’ Han Qiaoqiao’s face instantly frosted over, her expression turning foul. After being thrown out by Lin Kuang and Lin Guo’er, Han Qiaoqiao had been plotting her revenge, intending to completely destroy Yashi. However, just as she was about to act the next day, her father, Han Rong, forbade her from touching the company. No matter how many times she asked, Han Rong refused to explain why. His stern gaze was warning enough: she was not to lay a hand on Yashi.

Because of this, Han Qiaoqiao had held back, but the resentment in her heart only festered and grew with each passing day. Then, two days ago, she managed to hook up with the owner of the Xiangya Club. Using her sharp mind and her body, she became his woman.

For Han Qiaoqiao, this was an incredibly exciting development. She was just waiting for the right moment, after making the club owner even more pleased with her, to finally unleash her revenge on Yashi! With the Xiangya Club owner’s power, she could command respect anywhere in East Sea, let alone crush a tiny company like Yashi.

But before she even had to make a move, Lin Kuang and Liu Shilin had delivered themselves right to her doorstep. The thought filled Han Qiaoqiao with a strange sense of glee.

"Thank Young Master Ye for me," Han Qiaoqiao said with a smile. "I’ll go thank him personally when I have the time."

Although Ye Tiannan wasn’t as powerful as the owner of the Xiangya Club, he was still a local bigwig in East Sea, so Han Qiaoqiao naturally didn’t want to offend him. Besides, maintaining a good relationship with him would benefit both her and the Han Family.

Hearing her words, Liu Dong smirked inwardly but maintained a look of utmost respect. "Very well, Miss Han. I will be sure to convey your message to Young Master Ye."

"Alright, you may go," Han Qiaoqiao said, waving her hand dismissively.

With that, Liu Dong bowed and took his leave.

As he walked out of the office, the corners of Liu Dong’s mouth curled into a conspiratorial smirk.

Han Qiaoqiao, oh, Han Qiaoqiao, you may be a clever woman, but you’re still no match for Young Master Ye!

Sneering inwardly, he quickly returned to the third floor to make his report.

Back in the office, Han Qiaoqiao’s expression had turned icy, her beautiful eyes brimming with resentment. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Peony Pavilion, is it?" Han Qiaoqiao laughed coldly. "Heh. You threw me out of Yashi that day. You never imagined this day would come, did you? Today, I’ll let you taste the pain of being forced out!"

Then, she stood up to leave. As she did, four men in suits fell in line behind her.

Meanwhile, Lin Kuang, Liu Shilin, and the little Witch had just been joined by Lin Guo’er. She came dashing in, looking slightly embarrassed upon seeing that the others were all there.

"Ahem, sorry, sorry! Looks like I’m a little late." Lin Guo’er plopped down beside Lin Kuang. Her tone was apologetic, but her smiling face betrayed no actual embarrassment.

Seeing this, Liu Shilin helplessly massaged her forehead. "Guo’er, tell me, have you ever been on time?"

"Oh, Shilin, don’t be so mean! It was only a few minutes," Lin Guo’er whined coquettishly. "Come on, come on, let’s order! I’m starving to death!"

Her cloyingly sweet tone made Lin Kuang shiver. The woman was a true enchantress.

Just then, however, a figure that Lin Guo’er found extremely unpleasant appeared at the doorway of their private room, the Peony Pavilion.
