Chapter 101: Chapter 101 Xiangya Club

Lin Kuang had just returned to the Liu family’s villa when he came face to face with the little witch.

"You’re back? My sister was just about to call you." Seeing Lin Kuang return, the little witch glanced at him and spoke indifferently.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang paused just as he stepped inside. "Uh, what’s up?"

"Guo’er is treating us to dinner, and my sister wants to bring you along. If you don’t want to go, it’s fine. We don’t mind," the little witch said with a huff.

It was as if Lin Kuang naturally drew her ire; no matter what, the little witch always found him irritating.

"Go? Why wouldn’t I? It’s not like you’re the one treating. If you were paying, I wouldn’t go even if you begged me," Lin Kuang said with a teasing smile.

"Hmph, me treat? Even if I were treating, I wouldn’t invite you," the little witch retorted disdainfully.

"Exactly. Because you know that even if you invited me, I still wouldn’t go," Lin Kuang replied with a shrug and a smile.

"Jerk! I wouldn’t be bothered to invite you!" the little witch said angrily.

"And I wouldn’t go even if you did," Lin Kuang said, still smiling as he walked toward his room.

At his words, the little witch ground her teeth in fury and made threatening gestures at his retreating back. Though Lin Kuang sensed it, he couldn’t be bothered to react and continued straight to his room.

After a full day of drilling the troops, Lin Kuang was covered in sweat. He went to his room, took a shower, and changed—the man was a bit vain, after all. Once he was fresh, he returned to the living room and sat on the sofa right next to the little witch. The little witch frowned but didn’t move away this time, as if she had grown accustomed to his antics.

"Hasn’t Shilin come down yet?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile, glancing at her.

"Are you blind? Can’t you see for yourself if my sister is down yet?" the little witch snapped.

"Uh..." Lin Kuang was taken aback, and her sharp retort left him at a loss for words. Seeing his awkward expression, the little witch snorted triumphantly.

"Dressed up, are we?" Lin Kuang’s gaze fell upon the little witch. She was wearing a light-blue miniskirt, her jet-black hair cascading over her shoulders. Her elegant collarbones were partially visible, and her long, snowy-white legs were on full display, looking quite enchanting. In terms of both figure and appearance, the girl had plenty to be proud of.

"Whether I’m dressed up or not is none of your business. Mind your own," she said curtly.

Did this girl eat gunpowder? Why is she so prickly?

"When have I ever been nice to you?"

"I seem to recall your tone was quite sincere when you were asking me for Bingbing’s autograph."

"That... That was out of necessity!"

"So, ready for another moment of ’necessity’?"

"Go to hell, you jerk!" the little witch yelled furiously, which only drew a peal of cheerful laughter from Lin Kuang.

Just then, Liu Shilin descended the stairs. She was wearing a long, white dress embroidered with light-blue flowers. The typically composed and graceful woman looked both elegant and pure, like an angel descended to the mortal realm. Lin Kuang couldn’t help but stare.

Noticing his stunned gaze, a blush inexplicably crept onto Liu Shilin’s pretty face, though it was unclear if it was from shyness or some other emotion.

"Sis, you’re finally down! I’ve been waiting for ages," the little witch cried out, running over to her. As she ran, her ample bosom bounced so vigorously it made Lin Kuang worry if those "fruits" might fall off.

"You’re back, Lin Kuang," Liu Shilin said with a smile, her gaze falling on him. "Did Shiyu tell you about Guo’er treating us to dinner?"

"Yeah, she did," Lin Kuang replied with a smile.

"Great, let’s go then," Liu Shilin said.

Lin Kuang nodded, and the three of them headed out. They got in the car and drove away from the villa.

"Where are we going?" Lin Kuang couldn’t help but ask.

"To the Xiangya Club," Liu Shilin replied with a smile.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang paused for a moment and was about to turn on the car’s navigation, as he had no idea where the Xiangya Club was.

"Hmph, dummy. This young lady will give you directions. No navigation needed," the little witch huffed from the back seat.

"Girls should try to stay happy. Otherwise, they turn into grumpy old women," Lin Kuang muttered under his breath, but his words were caught by the sharp-eared little witch.

"Jerk, say that again!" she said fiercely, her delicate, doll-like face contorted with anger. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Alright, alright. Why are you two always fighting? What is there to argue about all day long?" Liu Shilin, sitting beside her, said in exasperation.

Hearing Liu Shilin, the little witch immediately fell silent, merely letting out a small huff. Lin Kuang, however, wore a triumphant grin, which made the little witch so mad her chest ached with fury.

Following the little witch’s directions, Lin Kuang drove to the suburbs, finally stopping before a manor that sprawled over ten thousand square meters.

"This... is a place for dinner?" Lin Kuang asked in surprise, taking in the luxurious manor and the rows of high-end cars in the parking lot.

"Hmph, you country bumpkin. This is the Xiangya Club, a famous establishment among East Sea’s high society. Ordinary people can’t even get in. The threshold is extremely high; only tycoons, second-generation rich, or certain officials are allowed inside. You’re only getting in because you’re with us," the little witch scoffed, seeming quite familiar with the place.

Lin Kuang nodded in understanding. So, it was one of those exclusive places for people in certain circles. Without connections to the upper echelons, getting in would be impossible. He certainly wouldn’t have been able to enter on his own; this time, he was truly basking in their reflected glory.

"If I’m basking in reflected glory, so be it. There’s nothing I like more than free stuff," Lin Kuang said with a shameless grin.

Seemingly unable to bear his shamelessness, the little witch was the first one out of the car the moment he parked.

"Lin Kuang, don’t mind her," Liu Shilin said with a helpless sigh.

"Don’t worry about it. Let’s go, Shilin." With that, they both got out of the car.

The three of them walked side by side into the manor. At the entrance, two men dressed as doormen stopped them and said respectfully, "Please present your membership card."

Liu Shilin took a gold card from her pocket and handed it to one of the doormen.

He glanced at it before respectfully returning it. "Welcome, Miss Liu and your friends. We hope you have an enjoyable time here." With that, the doorman took a slight step back and bowed, gesturing for them to enter with an impeccably professional movement.

Liu Shilin smiled and stepped inside. This club really is something else. Even the doormen are this well-trained, Lin Kuang thought in amazement.
