Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 100 Fooled Again
An indescribable feeling rose in Yang Ruotong’s heart, making her pretty face flush slightly. At that moment, she suddenly remembered the day at the dinner table when Lin Kuang had domineeringly held her and declared, "This is my woman."
At the thought, the sensation in her heart intensified. Her body seemed to go limp, and her face flushed as red as a ripe apple.
Lin Kuang naturally felt Yang Ruotong’s body tremble, but he didn’t think much of it. At this moment, his fingers sparkled with light as wisps of True Qi flowed from them into her wound.
As this power poured in, Yang Ruotong immediately felt her back tingle with a numb, itchy sensation that kindled a spark of heat in her heart. The True Qi from Lin Kuang’s fingers flowed continuously into the wound, which began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye. It was nothing short of a miracle!
A few minutes later, the injury on Yang Ruotong’s back had completely healed, leaving only a faint red mark that was barely noticeable unless examined closely.
"Ruotong, it’s done. Don’t worry, it won’t leave a scar," Lin Kuang said with a smile.
Hearing this, Yang Ruotong hummed softly in response.
"Thank you, thank you, Lin Kuang," she said softly.
"It was nothing. I’ll head out now, Ruotong," Lin Kuang said, turning to leave.
Once Lin Kuang was gone, Yang Ruotong collapsed onto the bed, her body going limp. Her graceful figure was on full display as she gasped for breath, her small mouth agape and moisture swirling in her beautiful eyes.
Why does my body feel that way? Could it be that I’ve fallen for him? Otherwise, why would I feel like this?
Yang Ruotong murmured, a complex glint in her beautiful eyes.
After leaving her room, Lin Kuang entered the bathroom. He gathered the fragments of the shattered washbasin, put them back into the broken bowl of the sink, and then carried it all away.
After disposing of the sink in the villa’s outdoor trash can, Lin Kuang walked back inside. Sitting on the sofa, his mind kept replaying the unintentional glimpse he had caught of Yang Ruotong’s allure in the bathroom.
Just a few minutes later, the roar of a car announced Yang Ruoxi and Xinxin’s return.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang quickly went out and naturally took the bags from Yang Ruoxi’s hands.
Yang Ruoxi huffed at him, seemingly still annoyed about his stealthy kiss that morning.
Lin Kuang just shrugged with a smile, appearing unconcerned.
"Auntie’s boyfriend, good afternoon," Xinxin chirped cheerfully, looking incredibly cute.
"Good afternoon, Xinxin. Next time, remember to call me Uncle, okay?" Lin Kuang said with a twinkling smile, squatting down to touch her adorable cheek.
"Hmm, that can’t be right. You two aren’t married yet. I should only call him Uncle after you’re married, shouldn’t I? Right, Auntie?" Xinxin asked, tilting her head. Her big eyes darted around, looking utterly adorable.
"Ignore him; he’s a jerk!" Yang Ruoxi said, annoyed, her face flushing as she pulled Xinxin away.
As they left, Xinxin turned her head and stuck her little tongue out at Lin Kuang, as if to signal that her aunt was upset.
Watching Xinxin’s cute antics, Lin Kuang cracked a slight smile. That little one is just too endearing, he thought as he stepped back into the villa.
Perhaps it was because Yang Ruoxi and Xinxin had returned, or maybe she had already finished changing, but at that moment, Yang Ruotong appeared in the living room wearing loungewear. A smile graced her pretty face when she saw them.
"Mom, Xinxin’s back!" the little girl called out excitedly, throwing her arms around Yang Ruotong’s waist.
"Mm, Xinxin is the best girl," Yang Ruotong said with a smile, patting Xinxin’s little head.
"Ruoxi, shall we go upstairs?" Lin Kuang asked with a chuckle.
Yang Ruoxi shot Lin Kuang a fierce glare before turning to go upstairs.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang gave a habitual shrug and followed her. As he ascended the stairs, he couldn’t help but glance at Yang Ruotong. Coincidentally, she was also watching him. Their eyes met, and a hint of shyness flickered in her gaze before she quickly looked away.
Once they were in Yang Ruoxi’s room, she immediately shut the door.
"Lin Kuang, you bastard!" she said furiously, staring him down.
"Eh, why would you say that?" Lin Kuang asked with feigned ignorance.
"Why? Why? You tell me why!" Yang Ruoxi huffed, her small hands poised to pinch his waist.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang hastily dodged. Although he could heal the bruises, the pinching itself was quite painful, and he had no desire to experience it again.
"Hmph, you stand right there! Don’t you run, or you’re going to get it!" Yang Ruoxi said angrily when she saw him evade her.
"Eh? What am I going to get?" Lin Kuang’s eyes gleamed mischievously as he looked her up and down with an indescribable playfulness.
Seeing his look, Yang Ruoxi’s face instantly turned red.
"Lin Kuang, you rogue!" she huffed. With her pouting lips and glaring eyes, she didn’t look fierce at all; on the contrary, she looked incredibly cute.
"Alright, alright, I was just kidding. Go ahead and pinch if you want," Lin Kuang said as he stepped in front of her. He spread his arms and closed his eyes, adopting a ’do with me as you will’ expression.
Seeing this, Yang Ruoxi didn’t hold back, fiercely pinching his waist twice with her little hands.
Only when she saw his mouth twitch and his face contort did Yang Ruoxi let go, satisfied.
"Hmph! If you ever dare to secretly kiss... ambush me again, I’ll pinch you hard!" she said, still vexed.
"Alright. Can we start the treatment now?" Lin Kuang asked, seeing that she had let off some steam.
At his words, Yang Ruoxi nodded. The two then sat cross-legged on the bed.
Half an hour later, Lin Kuang had finished infusing True Qi into her. They both got off the bed, and Yang Ruoxi opened the door, about to walk out.
"Ruoxi," Lin Kuang called out softly beside her.
Yang Ruoxi froze, instinctively turning around, only to be met with his smiling face.
In an instant, their lips touched and then parted as quickly as a dragonfly skimming water.
"Ruoxi, see you tomorrow," Lin Kuang said with a sly grin, his expression seeming to say, ’I’ll let you pinch me again tomorrow.’ Then he turned and left.
Seeing Lin Kuang’s infuriating expression and realizing she had been fooled again, Yang Ruoxi stamped her foot angrily. She ground her teeth, looking as though she wanted to bite him a few times.
