Treasure Hunt: Tycoon's Priceless Runaway Wife-Chapter 771 - 769: I Seem to Be Jealous (Part 2)
After work, Da Bao pushed open the garden gate and immediately saw a person and two dogs cuddling on the grass on the other side of the yard, his mouth curled into a smile at once.
He tiptoed towards the figure with its back to him. Usually, the two dogs were very alert; every time the owner came home, they would get up and run over, wagging their tails in greeting. But today, they were obediently being petted on the head by Nuonuo and quietly listening to what she was murmuring. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Da Bao got closer and finally made out what Nuonuo was rambling about.
"Dahuai, do you think Little Treasure had long wanted to leave here and go to university out of town? Sigh, what a pity, I probably can’t be as amazing as him and get into B University... Plus, by the time I take my college exams in three years, he’ll almost be graduating... sigh..."
Da Bao stopped behind Nuonuo, listening to her continuous sighing, couldn’t help but feel a pang of heartache.
Initially wanting to eavesdrop some more, but his body reacted much faster than his brain. Before he realized what he was doing, his big hand was already gently ruffling her head.
"Silly girl, isn’t it just a little over two hours by plane? If you miss him, just fly over and see him." He naturally voiced comforting words.
Nuonuo turned around, a flash of surprise in her eyes, but quickly returned to normal.
"Brother, why didn’t you make any sound when you walked?"
Da Bao didn’t reply, he blinked, tossed his bag onto the grass, sat down himself, and pulled Nuonuo to sit down with him.
"Missing Little Treasure already?"
He asked good-naturedly, his inquisitive gaze falling on the little girl’s face, lightly smoothing her slightly messy hair.
"Mm!"
Nuonuo didn’t hide anything at all, nodding straightforwardly.
Da Bao lowered his head and nudged her smooth, pretty forehead with his lips, then buried his face in the back of her neck, sounding as if he were mumbling or confessing, "Ji Sihan, what do I do, I seem to be jealous."
As he spoke, his straight nose gently rubbed against her nape repeatedly.
"Ah?!" Nuonuo’s mind wasn’t as quick as Da Bao’s, plus her nape was being teased as if several caterpillars were crawling over it.
She squirmed uneasily a few times, turning her head to look down at the person still teasing her.
"Brother, what do you mean?"
Nuonuo was ticklish, being nudged like this for a while made her feel like she had been bewitched from head to toe, a feeling unfamiliar yet not resisted by her, because it was her Brother Dabao who brought it to her. Even if unfamiliar, she was willing to accept and try it slowly.
This realization dawned on her when she boldly confessed to Da Bao.
Da Bao left a trail of his own scent behind her nape, faint yet enough to temporarily soothe his occasionally mischievous thoughts.
He moved back a little, creating a bit of distance between himself and Nuonuo, forcibly turning her towards him, hands cupping her face, half-jokingly grumbled, "You miss Little Treasure so much, I got jealous!"
Nuonuo looked at him in surprise. Da Bao didn’t avoid her gaze, meeting her eyes squarely for a while until Nuonuo’s dark eyes began rolling around.
Amusement crept from the corner of her eyes, spreading deep into them, slightly riling Da Bao internally.
Actually, he wasn’t truly jealous of Little Treasure. Most of the reason he said such serious words was to tease the little girl, to distract her a bit, keeping her away from the sorrow of parting.
But now, the little girl’s bright eyes clearly showed smug satisfaction, looking at him as if he were nothing but a lovestruck, green-eyed boy.
But he was no lovestruck boy; he was a rational, mature adult!
Just as an increasingly annoyed Da Bao wanted to speak to salvage his image, the little girl suddenly leaned in without warning, gently touching his lips with hers before he could grasp the situation.
The mischievous thought he had so hard suppressed earlier immediately clamored noisily in his heart; he was a mature adult, and he knew how to rationally control his emotions.
Yet pushing away such delicacies served at the door was foolishness that a mature adult like him would obviously not commit.
Thus, the little girl’s act of solace turned into passively receiving a long and very possessive French kiss.
The self-proclaimed mature and rational Da Bao felt breathless, finally had no choice but to let go of the girl in his arms.
Nuonuo, kissed to the point of only exhaling, not inhaling, soft against him, gasping heavily.
The sultry atmosphere filled the entire yard, the twilight glow through the low garden walls softly enveloped them.
"Brother..."
Nuonuo was still gasping heavily, but she felt some things were better clarified on the spot. She had no experience with love but knew the greatest enemy of misunderstanding is timely communication.
"Mm?" Da Bao tenderly looked down at her, his mind still savoring the wonderful taste from earlier.
"Actually, when you went abroad... I felt ten thousand times worse than now." Nuonuo, breath a little unsteady, gasped out what she wanted to say in full.
Da Bao squinted, stared at her thoughtfully. Nuonuo thought he didn’t believe her, nervously licked her lips, "It’s true..."
A faint sigh escaped Da Bao’s heart, he couldn’t help but hug her tightly again.
Nuonuo was squeezed uncomfortably but didn’t dare to move because, she thought he was truly jealous. She also thought he didn’t believe how hard it had been for her three years ago.
"Brother..." Nuonuo’s words muffled against Da Bao’s broad chest couldn’t come out.
Da Bao held her tightly, feeling the warmth of her body spreading under his arms, looked down at her hair, vaguely felt a warmth in his eyes.
Da Bao blinked furiously, kissed the tips of her hair before finally letting go of the little girl in his arms who was almost suffocated by him.
"Brother, what I said is true!" Regaining her freedom, Nuonuo once again very seriously emphasized to him.
Da Bao nodded, "Mm, I know!"
Nuonuo, however, didn’t know that her Brother Da Bao was just teasing her earlier. Though he nodded, saying he understood, she was still not at ease.
Nuonuo suddenly very seriously imitated Da Bao’s earlier manner, raised both hands to cup his face, stared into his eyes firmly.
"Ji Yu, the one I like is you, Little Treasure is my brother."
Da Bao couldn’t be happier inside, despite just teasing her, he unintentionally got another earnest declaration of love.
Happy though he was, Da Bao feared the little girl would discover the truth, quickly mirrored the girl’s seriousness, nodded seriously as well, "Mm, I know!"
