Obtaining Legendray Dragon Template At The Start As A Side-Character!-Chapter 50: The Trial VI
"Julian, you bastard!" Selen roared in anger when she saw their defensive layer collapsing.
The successful and solid strategy they had used to hold on until now fell apart just because of the betrayal of one piece of trash, and the problem was that it was no longer controllable.
It was a small gap, but it was enough.
When three enemies passed through that path, the rest flowed through like water from a broken dam. The order of Team Ten’s defensive ring fell apart within a few seconds. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
There were no more calculated distances or controlled movements. The battle changed from an organized structure into scattered and violent fighting.
Neria tried to shout and gather people again, but her voice was lost between the screams and the sound of wood hitting wood.
One of Team Ten’s members near her took a direct hit to the stomach and fell to his knees. Another was struck from behind and fell unconscious on the ground. Everywhere she looked, one of their people was being pushed back.
Selen was no longer moving like before. She was still fast, but now she had to fight directly.
Her wooden dagger struck wrists and necks quickly, but every time she dropped one person, two more took their place. A hard hit struck her side and she gritted her teeth but did not step back.
Aren roared and swung his large wooden sword horizontally. He knocked three people back with one hit, but one struck him from the side and another from behind.
His knee bent, but he smashed his elbow into one person’s face and dropped him. Even so, his breathing became heavy and his strikes no longer had their first strength.
Kael no longer had a safe place to shoot from. He moved back between the trees and shot from close range, but a hit struck his hand and his next arrow went off target.
A moment later, two people reached him and he was forced to use his bow like a stick.
Lioren still tried to think, but the battlefield no longer allowed analysis. He drew his sword and entered direct combat.
Every strike was precise, but he was made for command, not for being trapped in the middle of the enemy wave.
The situation became much worse than they thought. It was no longer controllable. Their defense line had completely collapsed and their forces were being knocked unconscious one by one.
The number of enemy forces was three times theirs, and each group had a very powerful leader who alone could defeat dozens of their people.
Their group coordination was completely gone. Even Neria no longer knew how to control this situation and bring back order.
Their bodies were tired and they no longer had the strength to continue. At any moment, they could lose consciousness.
One by one, the normal members of Team Ten fell to the ground. Some groaned, some were unconscious. A few were still fighting, but there was no more coordination.
Was this the end for them? Were they going to lose in this phase? They did not want to accept such a result!
From behind, Julian struck one of their own members and dropped him to the ground. When his eyes met Lioren’s for a short moment, there was no doubt in his eyes.
The betrayal was complete.
Neria fell under the pressure of three people. Selen tried to reach her, but her path was blocked.
Kael was struck from behind and fell to the ground. Aren was still standing, but the wooden blows had left his body bruised.
And during all this time, Reinh stood at the back.
He watched the scene: the broken order, people on the ground, the commanders who were no longer supporting from behind and were forced to fight directly.
Then he smirked. It seemed he had expected all this from the beginning, and there was no worry seen in his face or eyes.
He stepped forward calmly.
The first person who reached him did not even get the chance to raise his weapon.
Reinh’s short strike hit his stomach, his breath stopped, and with a second strike to the neck, he fell unconscious. Reinh grabbed him by the collar and threw him aside like a sack.
The second attacked. Reinh turned his body slightly, the hit missed, and his stick struck the person’s knee. A cry of pain, then a strike to the temple.
One after another. The strikes were simple. Direct. No extra movement. But every strike removed one person from the field.
Several attacked together. Reinh moved forward, not back. A strike to the face, one to the throat, a kick to the stomach.
Two people fell on top of each other. The third tried to hit from behind, Reinh turned without looking and smashed his elbow into his jaw.
The area around him slowly became empty. The ground was full of bodies that were groaning or unconscious.
Alone, he was like a complete legion. It did not matter how many attacked him at the same time, they had no chance to defeat him or even leave a scratch on him.
But the numbers were still high. Even though he had taken many enemies out, they were still there. However, the space around him had become empty.
At the moment, only the commanders were still fighting.
Reinh’s breathing became a little heavier. His strikes were still precise, but his body was starting to warm up.
He was human too, and more importantly, a twelve-year-old child. His power might be equal to a three-ring or even four-ring knight, but this was only because of his sword skill.
He still had clear weaknesses. His body could still get tired. It was only because he had the body structure of a dragon that his limit was much higher than others.
Anyone else in his place would have completely fallen by now. But that did not mean he had reached his limit. He still had the power to fight and could easily crush all these kids.
However, he did not want to show all his power and ability. Being too powerful, especially when he did not truly know what the Patriarch thought about him, could be dangerous.
He only showed enough power to be above everyone else, but not cross the line of being a threat, at least for now.
At the same time, behind him, Aren took a direct hit to the chest and finally fell to the ground. Kael stood up again but was hit on the head and fell beside a tree. Two other commanders were already down.
Selen and Lioren were still fighting, but they were being pushed back.
And just when the last wave of normal fighters stepped back, three heavy presences moved forward.
The crowd moved aside by itself.
Diana, with her thin sword. Lucien, with a faint smile but sharp eyes. Zane, whose breathing went up and down like a wild animal.
Without speaking, they surrounded Reinh. The circle closed.
They wanted to finish this matter without getting involved themselves, or at least with minimal involvement, so they could save their dignity.
But it seemed that defeating Reinh was not possible with only their soldiers.
"Looks like in the end, we ourselves have to deal with you," Zane said with mockery.
And Reinh’s eyes shone with a cold mockery deep inside them.
