The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 84: Doing A Good Job.
Thunder rumbled in the distance, lightnings flashed in the sky, and the rain droplets pattered on the window, rousing Shikera from her sleep. After Ethan had followed her to her room the previous night while warning her to stay there for the night, she had fallen asleep immediately and only just woke up.
Rising sleepily from the bed, she remembered Ethan’s last words the previous night.
"Come see me immediately you wake up. Immediately, Shikera," he had said.
As his words resounded in her ears, she slipped her feet into the indoor slippers placed beside her bed and walked out of her room. Shuffling her feet down the hallway, she passed five more doors before finally arriving at his.
"Knock, Knock!" Tapping slightly on his door, she inwardly prayed that she would not get a reply so she could use that as an excuse to get back to her room. However, the prayer wasn’t answered as she heard his familiar voice.
"Come in...if it’s Shikera. Get away from my door if it’s anyone else."
Yawning loudly while covering her mouth with her hand, she pushed the door open and stepped into the room. At this point, she was no longer surprised that he wasn’t in bed, but on the couch with a duvet covering his lower body. He was wearing a thick sweater, and Shikera guessed it was because of the cold.
Rubbing her own hands while feeling foolish for not wearing one herself, she greeted him, "Good morning, Ethan."
Instead of answering, Ethan removed the duvet covering his legs and stood up. He covered the distance between them in three large strides and kissed her lightly on her lips, "Good morning to you."
Without allowing her recover from the surprise he had just thrown her into, he bent slightly and kissed her erect nipples over her blue, silky nightgown.
"Ethan!" Shikera almost screamed, backing away from him.
"What was that?!" She continued, eyeing him suspiciously.
Seeing her previously droopy eyes now wide awake, Ethan resisted the urge to smile.
"What did it look like? Your mouth greeted me a good morning, and your peaches did too and I greeted them back. Was that a sin?" He deadpanned, walking back to the couch to take his seat.
"How did my...f**k! I meant to say, didn’t I greet you only with my mouth?"
Still with a blank expression, Ethan turned to stare at her. "Look down at yourself and then tell me they didn’t," he whispered, loud enough for her to hear him clearly.
Shikera looked down at her breasts and nothing...her nipples were simply erect! How did he conclude that they were greeting?
"Ethan, this is only because of the cold..." she trailed off, seeing how his eyes suddenly darkened with lust as he maintained eye contact with her.
"Ethan?!" She said out loud, snapping him out of his thoughts which were already going astray.
"I am suddenly grateful to your mother," Ethan muttered. But Shikera heard him anyway.
Her memories went back to that night when he had mentioned her mother to her, and hurt flashed through her eyes as she remembered his insulting words.
"What about my mother?"
Ethan seemed to notice the change in her voice, as she said, "I apologize for what I said that night...and I take them back."
Without replying to his apology, Shikera pressed,"And how does that make you grateful to her?"
Ethan sighed, tapping the space beside him for her to sit.
"It isn’t because of that."
Her eyebrows raised in question so he continued,"Look at you, she produced an angel who is endowed in all the necessary places. I would not have to starve for even a moment..."
As the meaning of his words dawned on Shikera, she blushed furiously before talking,"Keep saying nonsense. Why did you ask me to come see you this morning?"
She changed the topic tactically as she went to sit beside him.
"You said you weren’t avoiding me last night, so I wanted you to tell me everything as soon as possible."
"Uhm...that’s actually simple," Shikera frowned."I just didn’t want you to think I am lying..."
"Tell me," Ethan interrupted her, drawing her attention with his suddenly steely voice.
"There’s nothing much for you to know...I grew up in and out of the hospital so I didn’t really have any friends, or an interesting life story."
"That doesn’t look like something that doctor would deem fit as a tangible bargaining chip...he doesn’t look so stupid," Ethan murmured.
"That’s true! Leonard might have seen from your demeanor that you would be curious, and that’s probably why he made such a stupid offer. Why would he tell you that when you are already doing such a good job in taking care of me?" Shikera laughed nervously, trying to make sure Ethan believed her. She made a mental note to visit Leonard and make sure he didn’t contact Ethan behind her back, any longer. She was tired of being protected like this. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Ethan’s next words,
"I don’t think I have been doing a good job though," once again, his eyes were filled with desire and want as he gazed down at her lips.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I meant what I said. Sex is also good for the body, it boosts your happy hormones and reduces stress and anxiety. I haven’t been doing a good job with that," he whispered in a seductive tone, as he watched Shikera’s jaw drop in shock.
"What..."
"How about I start now? F*ck you till your legs are so weak and you can’t stand for a while..."
"I—i have to go to work..."
"That’s true. How about I buy that place? It would be more comfortable for you...and me too," Ethan replied immediately, as if he didn’t think before answering.
"What?! Why would you use your money for that?" She chuckled.
"Does that bother you? Then we buy it together instead, a joint venture."
"You think I have that much money?"
"I don’t think, I know you do. Minus the black card you have, your shares in Anderson Corporation is enough to buy hundreds of Preston TV."
"Why would I have shares there?" Shikera frowned, "It’s a public information that I won’t be able to use it."
"And it’s private information that you do have."
