The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 85: Team leader Zuresh’s Return.
"Forget about that, Shikera, and look at my face,"
Shikera examined his face for whatever he wanted her to see, and apart from the fatigue and stress she noticed, there was nothing else.
"What am I expected to see?" she asked.
"I was unable to sleep comfortably for this past few days. Whose fault was that?" Ethan answered her, while asking another question.
"Not mine, I’m sure of that. Since you were the one who did not want to touch me because you wanted me to tell you ’the story of my life’s first," Shikera protested, shaking her head. Her hands, which she folded across her chest tightening the more.
"That was not why...never mind. I will get enough sleep for the day, so you aren’t allowed to leave home too regardless of the reason," he ran his hand through his hair, a futile attempt to disrupt the smoothened hair.
"It’s the weekend. I have to go out to get ice cream."
"It’s too cold for ice cream. You should make do with other things which are available at home for now," He firmly maintained.
"Alright," Shikera frowned, "I should go back to my room and let you sleep."
"Of course, but not before I get my sleeping pill."
With that said, he pulled her closer, crashing his lips on hers.

"Reporter Anderson and Reporter Leigh, Team leader Zuresh from the entertainment department requests your presence in the conference room upstairs."
"What did you just say?!"
Shikera and Cyprian yelled in unison, as they swerved their chairs sharply around.
"I just said—"
"I heard that, Team leader Zuresh is back?"
"I just said that."
The two friends turned to each other to share a knowing look, before suddenly breaking into an elated victory dance and none of their teammates dared to stop them.
After Cyprian submitted the article Maxwell helped her with, the whole station had placed their eyes on the financial news department for a while as it had been a while that an article from their department would make a wave as such that this one did.
Because of that, their team leader had received compliments from both the CEO and all other team leaders while Team leader Sterling had in turn, complimented Cyprian in front of the whole department.
The latter, trying to be modest for once, had said, "Not at all, ma’am. It would have been better if Shikera had helped me with it."
Seeing the team leader’s lips stretching into a grin which was almost reaching her ears, she had continued, "With that said, why don’t I sit beside Shikera from now on so we can utilize the resources of this department to the best of our abilities?"
Of course, Team leader Sterling had agreed immediately and since then, which was two weeks ago, their other teammates had been according them with respect too.
And now, their own personal team leader, though crazy, was now back! How much happier could they be?!
Without waiting for Team leader Sterling to arrive, the two friends hurriedly cleared their desk and carried their belongings into the elevator. Why should they stall longer in that department full of numbers, lines, dots and everything mathematical that they couldn’t seem to wrap their brains around?
As the elevator opened to the entertainment department floor, they immediately stepped out of it while screaming.
"Shikera Anderson is back!"
"Cyprian Leigh is with her, of course!"
Even though they knew their team leader would yell at them, they didn’t stop. At the very least, they missed her yelling too. It was such a disappointment when she didn’t yell, but instead simply watched them from the middle of the room with...a group of unfamiliar people behind her.
"Ma’am..." Shikera called, her questioning eyes settling on Josh and Vicky who simply shook their heads, telling her they didn’t know who these people were too.
"Don’t bother to welcome me," Team leader Zuresh cut her off, while her eyes moved up and down Shikera’s body as if to check if she was well.
"I only need you to tell me when you’re done displaying your stupidity, so I can relay my own information to you."
"We are sorry, Ma’am!" The friends chorused.
The older woman looked at them, while shaking her head as if to say they weren’t matured yet.
"I will let you go for today. For now, look behind me, these are your new teammates. After the previous episode with Erica Jordan and her cohorts, I had to go and scout for clean and skilled personalities to join you guys in your team."
She turned to look into Shikera’s eyes as she continued, "If any of you needs their information so you can make your own researches in order to feel safe, you can approach me directly. I would not blame you for being wary."
"Now that I am done, you can introduce yourselves... sensibly. Reporter Anderson and Leigh already introduced themselves spectacularly, but I would prefer it if the others did theirs with a bit of sense," as usual, the woman didn’t leave without throwing a jab at the two girls.
"We are very sorry, ma’am!" They repeated their apologies.

Shikera closed the car’s door after herself, walking up to the front door of the DeLoach’s mansion. Why they were still here, she didn’t know. But since this place was nearer to her workplace and she also was not uncomfortable, she didn’t mind or ask any questions.
"Miss!"
She turned when she heard Esther’s voice, to see the girl running up the pathway with Enoch walking behind her.
"Esther! You’re just arriving from school?"
"Obviously, except you find it hard recognizing a school uniform," it was Enoch who answered her, causing Shikera to send him a glare.
Right, she had forgotten that this idiot existed. Or rather, she had thought he was more sensible after his engagement but it turned out it was because she rarely saw him, that she thought he was changed.
"Who asked you? I was talking to Esther," Shikera snapped at him, before turning to the little girl.
"Yeah!" Esther exclaimed again, running past Shikera and up the porch to the front door.
"I’m home, Grandma!"
Glaring at Enoch, Shikera started to follow the girl when he stopped her.
"Hey! You might not be very good at calculations but I am no longer your 24 year old brother-in-law—"
"Of course, Old man. I will be twenty five too in a month!"
