Sinner System-Chapter 546: Final Dungeon - Seventh Floor (Part 6)
Point-of-View: Aarav Gill

N-No, I...I’m not done yet! I-If I...if I’m going to die, then I...I’ll make damned fucking sure that I don’t die in vain, damn it!
I let out a gutteral roar as I extending several bones spikes into his foot, sending them drilling up through his leg as he snarled in pain, swinging one of his blades towards his knee as I began to take aim at his Core.
As he sliced through his knee and severed his leg before the branching bone spikes could spread any further, his eyes widened as I locked onto his Core, firing right as he drove his other blade down towards my throat.
The beam shot up towards his Core, the end of his blade colliding against my neck, and crushing in, an excruciating burst of pain erupting as I...I felt my throat get smashed flat, my...my vision darkening and...and blurring as my...my mind went blank...and...everything...went...dark...

"No!" Yelled Jaden in anguish, the others stunned silent. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
I watched in dismay as Deino slammed his blade down onto Aarav’s neck, tearing right through it and ripping his head clean off his shoulders, the Monster twisting his body across as Aarav’s final attack, the piercing blood beam, shot towards his Core.
The beam shot through the left side of Deino’s body, the Monster shuddering in agony as it burst out his back, the beam likely having grazed his Core, based on his expression, which was wracked with pain as he collapsed onto one knee and trembled shakily.
Aarav’s gauntlet glowed as it slipped off his arm, before reverting to a rod, Deino trembling in rage as he stared down at the decapitated body below him.
He let out a furious roar as his right leg regenerated, shrinking back down to his normal size before unfurling a vicious flurry of hacks and slashes. He tore Aarav’s corpse to pieces, until there was nothing but a pile of meat chunks in a pool of blood that was steadily seeping into the sand, as the rest of us watched helplessly in stunned horror.
"Filthy, lowly creature! You truly believed you could defeat me?! How dare...how dare an insect like you damage my Core?!" Bellowed Deino viciously, before shifting his gaze to the rest of us with a crazed, murderous look in his eyes, "Now, then, which of you will be next?! Huh?!"
"Go. Into the shadows, now," I said to Petrus quietly, who snapped out of it and nodded with a grimace, before grabbing Brid and Jax’s arms.
He dropped into the shadows right in the nick of time, as the rest of us got teleported in front of the pillars, the roulette starting.
None of us said a word, a tense, icy silence ensued as we stared at the glow jumping across the pillars, waiting to see which of us it would land on.
The glow began to travel faster and faster across the pillars, before finally coming to a stop...on the pillar in front of me.
I let out a slow exhale as I got teleported into the space within the ring of pillars, shifting my gaze towards Deino, who let out a vicious roar before charging towards me, growing in size as he raised his blades up.
As much as I’d love to make him suffer, I don’t have the luxury of taking me time. This’ll be over in a second...
"<Enrage>. <Descent>. <Devour: Cloak>."
Purple energy and Negative Energy erupted and swirled around me as wings grew out of my shoulder blades, a tail extending out of my lower back and horns protruding out of either side of my head.
My teeth and nails sharpened and extended into fangs and claws, a dark, shadowy energy wrapping around my entire body as the purple energy settled around me.
As Deino lunged forward and swung his blades down, I launched myself straight towards the middle of his body with a devastatingly pressurized burst of Negative Energy from behind me, blasting myself straight towards his solar plexus.
I reached him in the blink of an eye, the energy of Devour wrapped around my body eating right through his scaly, leathery skin and into his flesh, his Core briefly coming into sight before disappearing as it came into contact with the shadowy energy of Devour, before I bore straight through him and flew out of his back, a wide opening in the shape of my body through the middle of his torso.
I deactivated my power boosts as I landed behind him with a soft thud, glancing back to see him shakily stumble forward, his blades falling out of his grasp and crashing onto the ground.
He let out a horrified gasp as he clutched at the opening through the middle of his body, blood gushing out of where his Core had once been and splattering across the ground.
He trembled as he slowly turned his gaze back towards me, a look of horror and despair in his eyes, before they rolled back as his arms slumped to his sides.
A loud thud echoed out as he collapsed onto his knees, before falling over and hitting the ground, slumping against the sand. His body shrank down as a few seconds passed, his blades glowing and combining before reverting into a rod.
I walked over and picked it up, the others rushing over as the barrier around the ring of pillars faded, Aria solemnly picking up the rod that had been Aarav’s Blood n’ Bone Blaster.
Damn it...I didn’t want to lose anyone else. I knew it was always a possibility...it still is, this isn’t over yet. Even so, I-...damn it.
We have to win this. Everyone who gave up their lives in this battle, it’s on us to make sure that they didn’t die for nothing, that their sacrifices weren’t in vain.
This is it...the final battle is at hand. One way or another, this’ll soon be over...
