Chapter 145: Chapter 145: This Time, She Will Never Hurt Him Again

’If it weren’t for Aaron Wyatt,’ she thought, ’I probably wouldn’t have survived until now.’

Outside of her grandfather and Ryan, Aaron Wyatt was the kindest man to her in the entire world.

But in her past life, she had personally destroyed this precious friendship.

Vivian Yates had plotted against her, making sure Leona Grant saw her interacting with Aaron Wyatt like any normal friend would, and Leona had nearly divorced her over it.

The truth was, Leona Grant didn’t care who she spent time with at all.

Using her friendship with Aaron Wyatt as a reason to divorce her was just an excuse.

But she had foolishly believed Leona Grant was genuinely angry.

There was even a moment when she felt a sense of relief, simply because Leona Grant had noticed her.

Annabelle Linton felt that, aside from Leona Grant, she had been selfish and cruel to everyone else.

She had cruelly told Aaron Wyatt to never see her again, that she hated him.

Even now, Annabelle Linton could still picture Aaron Wyatt waiting at her door for a whole week, begging for her forgiveness.

But all he got in return was her cruelty.

She would never forget the look in Aaron Wyatt’s eyes as he left—filled with despair, sorrow, and pain.

At the thought, a pang of heartache made Annabelle Linton squeeze her eyes shut.

Once, such a wonderful guy had been so good to her, but she hadn’t cherished it. Instead, she’d hurt him.

This time, she would never hurt him again.

"Annabelle."

A clear male voice called out. Annabelle Linton froze for a second, then whipped her head around.

Aaron Wyatt stood in the sunlight, wearing a cool pair of sunglasses. One hand was in his pocket, while the other rested casually on a large suitcase beside him.

He wore a simple white T-shirt and casual pants. His light brown hair seemed to glow dazzlingly in the sun, and he had stunning long legs and refined, deep-set features.

Clean, dazzling, distinguished, sunny, and warm.

These were all the impressions Annabelle Linton got from him.

Aaron Wyatt strode over to Annabelle Linton and, without a word, pulled her into a huge hug.

Annabelle Linton stiffened for a moment, taking in his fresh, unique scent. Then, she slowly placed her hands on his back and hugged him in return.

Aaron Wyatt held Annabelle Linton tightly. Because of their height difference, he had to bend down slightly. He took a deep breath and said tenderly, "Annabelle Linton, I’ve missed you so much."

Annabelle Linton’s eyes immediately reddened. The longing, guilt, and regret from her past life transformed into a bitter sorrow, and crystalline tears slid from the corners of her eyes.

She murmured, "I missed you, too..."

As she spoke, she clearly felt his arms tighten around her.

Annabelle Linton pressed her face against his chest, smiling through her tears.

’Thank God. I have a chance to make it up to him.’

Her tears dampened his T-shirt.

Sensing something was wrong, Aaron Wyatt looked down, cupped her face, and asked with a mix of adoration and concern, "Why are you crying?"

Annabelle Linton shook her head with a smile. "Something got in my eye."

The corners of Aaron Wyatt’s mouth lifted, but he didn’t call her out on it. "Hm, let me see."

As he spoke, he leaned down again, his handsome face suddenly looming closer.

Annabelle Linton stared blankly at his fair face, letting his warm breath wash over her own.

Aaron Wyatt thoughtfully blew into her eye, then gently ruffled her hair. "It’s been three years. Our Annabelle has gotten more and more beautiful."

Annabelle Linton pouted playfully. "I’ve always been beautiful, okay?"

"Haha, that’s true, that’s true." Aaron Wyatt ruffled her hair again. "Our Annabelle was always beautiful. Now you’re even more beautiful."
