Raised From The Wild-Chapter 44: Giving Gifts
Amaya went back to the gazebo and handed the watch to the General.
"I’ll borrow this tonight and I will return it tomorrow."
Marx was skeptical. "General, how about you check the watch now?" He handed him a pocket knife.
General Jones reluctantly accepted the pocket knife and pulled out a small screwdriver. He opened the watch and there was indeed a chip inserted inside. He restored the watch to its original state and returned it to Amaya.
"Thank you so much, Princess. It is my pleasure meeting you." General Jones gave her a salute. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
They returned to the mourning hall and after some pleasantries, the general and his entourage left.
The Rocas Family were all gathered in the dining room for their dinner. Marx as their distinguished guest was also invited to the family dinner. Amaya took the opportunity to hand her gifts starting with Ibarra’s youngest son, then to the two daughters of the concubine and the two twins, and her Aunt Nelida.
"Grandpa, Daddy Ibarra, these gifts were prepared by Daddy Ibrahim. I hope you’ll like them. He spent a long time finishing them." Amaya gave each an exquisitely wrapped box that contained the goblet and the mini wine barrel.
"Grandma, this is the last fur coat that Daddy Ibrahim made. I am giving this to you so you can keep warm during the cold months."
King Duncan and Prince Ibarra were surprised at the craftsmanship that Ibrahim put into the goblets and the mini barrel. The king’s eyes reddened. He didn’t know how outstanding his second son was. If only he can turn back time....but then there were no ifs in this world.
He examined the golden goblet and studied the intricate engraving of his name. He asked a servant to wash it and fill it later with wine from the barrel.
Queen Lucinda hugged the white fur coat. The smell was like the scent of many flowers. It was not a strong smell but rather it was very mild and soothing.
Aryana put it around her shoulders and the queen felt like Ibrahim was hugging her from the back like what he normally does when he sneaked inside her study.
"Thank you my little Aya for this wonderful gift. I sure love this." The queen beamed happily. There were tears in her eyes but they were tears of joy.
Prince Ibarra has the same reaction as his father. He had wronged his twin brother and yet he find it in his heart to make such a beautiful and expensive gift for him. He also passed his goblet to the servant to be washed.
Nelida was pleasantly surprised to see the tiara that Amaya gifted her. The rubies and diamonds complemented each other. It was one of the most beautiful tiaras she has.
"Thank you, Princess Amaya. This is beautiful." She said.
"Big sister, this necklace and earrings are very beautiful. Thank you so much." Camilla, the older of the two sisters of Concubine Amelia said gratefully. "Riyana, say thank you to big sister." Camilla urged her shy little sister and an introvert.
Riyana murmured her thank you.
"Sister, is this a real fang of an animal?" Prince Donello asked. He inspected the totem necklace.
"Yes, Don." Amaya gave Donello a pet name. "That’s from an alpha wolf." She replied. She liked this teenage prince.
Little Prince Yohan approached Amaya and tugged at her leg. He looked up with his innocent eyes and said in a cute voice. "Big sister, can you please put this on my neck?"
Amaya squatted down so her eyes were level with him. She put on the necklace. It was a bit too long for him.
"I need to replace the chain to make it shorter."
"Don’t worry big sis. I’ll eat more so ill grow fast." The little boy was so cute. Amaya hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. They have something in common. They lost their mother at a young age.
"Mother, how can I wear this fake piece of jewelry? My friends and classmates will laugh at me." Danella said rudely.
All eyes were turned toward her direction.
"Princess Amaya, forgive your sister. She is still young and willful." It was the princess consort who apologized to Danella.
"It is okay Aunt Nelida. Don’t worry, I understand." Amaya replied briefly.
"The rubies, diamonds, and gold used in the pieces of jewelry are not fake Princess Danella. They are also commissioned by the famous jeweler from Usturia, Flint Stone." It was Marx who replied to Amaya. "The designs were done by Amaya."
The eyes of the four adults bulged in surprise. How can Amaya do such beautiful designs?
"Did all these precious stones come from the island big sis?" Donello asked.
"Yes. Daddy and I found them in some caves."
"Really? It is a pity the island was gone. It should be wonderful to hunt animals and treasures there." Donello’s eyes were filled with regret.
"Don’t worry, we can go hunting in another forest," Amaya reassured Donello.
Nelida was thinking how much Amaya could have earned if she sold the jewelry and yet she gifted it to them. But then maybe it was because she doesn’t have a concept of money.

Tatiana was busy checking her social media account. Her followers increased by leaps and bounds when she posted her selfie with Amaya and her response to the questions that most netizens were asking.
"This wild woman has some use. She can make me popular." She murmured.
But when people started to praise Amaya’s beauty more than hers, she was displeased. She studied her face. She got the trademark eyes of the Rocas. Light brown that sometimes turned to golden brown and her slightly wavy hair that was the same color as her eyes.
"I am the campus belle in Asbridge University but why do I look very plain beside her? Oh shit! What am I thinking?"
Zanzara knocked at her door.
"It"s open."
Zanzara rushed in and sat on her bed.
"Sis, did you know that our cousin has given out gifts to her family?"
Tatiana raised an eyebrow. "It has nothing to do with me."
"Sister, the gifts she brought were made from ruby, diamond, and gold and are very beautiful."
"So?" Tatiana asked nonchalantly.
"We can ask Amaya to also give us gifts."
