Chapter 35: Chapter 33: Haven’t You Already Joined the Demonic Sects?

Celeste Grant nodded.

"Then it’s settled. From now on, our son’s name is Aaron, and we can call him Annie."

Javier Sinclair had no objections.

「In the days that followed.」

Javier Sinclair was as elusive as a ghost, his presence rarely seen. Sometimes he would suddenly appear in the middle of the night, scaring a person half to death with his eerie presence.

As for Celeste Grant, she officially began her Cultivation.

In a world where Cultivation was commonplace, you needed your own strength to be able to go wherever you pleased.

So, as soon as her body recovered, she took out the Great Words Immortal Technique and started her Cultivation.

She was currently only at the First Level of Energy Refining. In the Cultivation World, she was a total noob and needed to work hard to increase her strength.

This world had Spiritual Energy.

Even a noob had to get their act together.

As an important supporting female character, her intelligence and talent were beyond question.

She found Cultivation to be quite simple. Those Cultivation Methods that others struggled with, she could understand with a single glance.

As for the process, it was like following the book and completing the necessary homework.

For several days in a row, she sat meditating on a rock in the courtyard, and nature’s spiritual energy flowed gently into her body like water.

Second Level of Energy Refining.

Third Level of Energy Refining.

Fourth Level of Energy Refining.

In the blink of an eye, a month had passed since she gave birth and started living in this courtyard villa.

Not far away, a few Demon Cultivators were squatting, one of them holding a White Tiger cub. Nerida, dressed in purple, was leaning against a rockery with a small chick perched on her head.

At that moment, they were huddled together, whispering amongst themselves.

"Our Madam must be what you’d call a genius, right? At this rate of Cultivation, she’s already at the Ninth Level of Energy Refining."

Most people with good talent take three years to reach the Ninth Level of Energy Refining. Our Madam did it in just one month.

"And this is in the mortal realm, where the Spiritual Energy is thin. If she were to cultivate in a place with dense Spiritual Energy, she probably would have broken through to Foundation Establishment long ago."

She retracted her aura.

Celeste Grant opened her eyes.

She focused Magic in her hand, and in the next moment, the water in the air condensed into a sharp blade.

"Nerida, try this."

Nerida waved her hand, creating a barrier. Celeste Grant’s attack struck the shield she had erected.

Nerida sat up straight.

"Not bad, Madam. Your power today is several times stronger than yesterday."

"Really? Thank you, Nerida."

Just then, the sound of a baby crying came from the room.

Celeste Grant shot up and zipped into the house.

’It’s great being a Cultivator.’

’I’m so fast. Once I reach Foundation Establishment, I’ll be able to use Sword Flight.’

Her son was now one month old.

He was fair and chubby, like a little dumpling.

After feeding the baby, she held him and played with him.

"Sweetheart, you’re just so cute."

"Of course you are, I’m your mother. You definitely inherited my good looks."

A voice came from the window.

"What a way to praise yourself."

Celeste Grant turned to look.

She saw Javier Sinclair dressed in black robes, one hand resting on the windowsill as he gazed at her.

’Okay, I admit it. This leader of the Demonic Sects is the real stunner here.’

She glanced at him and said, "The Exalted One is here to see Annie."

As soon as Celeste Grant finished speaking, he appeared before her.

He reached out and poked their son’s little face. "Go on, cry."

Celeste Grant’s face darkened.

’Even the Archfiend has his childish moments.’

The child in her arms simply stared at him with wide eyes, making cooing sounds.

Javier Sinclair patted his head.

He turned, and with a wave of his hand, he swept all the things in the room into his Storage Ring. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

She watched as everything in the room—the things she used, the things the baby needed—was taken away.

Celeste Grant stood up, holding her child.

"What are you doing? Why did you take everything?"

"We’re leaving, of course."

Hearing this, Celeste Grant froze for a moment before she couldn’t help but ask.

"Where are we going?"

Javier Sinclair frowned slightly as he looked at her.

"Did you plan on living here forever? This dump is no place for our son to grow up."

’That wasn’t it.’

’She was at the Ninth Level of Energy Refining now and had planned to find a place with dense Spiritual Energy to lay low and cultivate. But she had no intention of leaving with him.’

’He might be the Archfiend, but he’d actually been good to her and their son. If she told him now that she was planning to leave with the baby, would he strangle her and keep the child for himself?’

At this thought, she forced a laugh.

"That won’t be necessary. I wouldn’t want to keep bothering you."

"As if you haven’t bothered me enough already."

He’d already accepted this fact.

Why was she being so difficult?

As he spoke, he stepped forward and wrapped an arm around her waist. Bending down, he lifted her into his arms. Celeste Grant remained motionless, forced to simply hold on tightly to their son.

"Let go, I can walk on my own."

"Can you fly right now?"

’Great.’

’She couldn’t.’

Javier Sinclair carried her out of the room.

At that moment, a large ship bearing black and red flags flew in from the distance.

Carrying Celeste Grant, he ascended a Cloud Ladder, stepping upward one pace at a time. From all directions, disciples of the Bloodfiend Den also flew up to follow them.

’A scene this grand was something not even a TV fantasy drama could replicate. The budget would be burning, after all.’

"Are you taking me back to the Demon Palace?"

Celeste Grant looked up at him.

"What else? Should I let you and our son wander the outside world, hunted by all the Immortal Sects?"

"The fact that I have a son is no longer a secret. There are plenty of people out there who want me dead. So, if they can’t kill me, what’s to stop them from coming after you? If you don’t want to die, don’t leave the territory of the Demonic Sects."

’Holy crap.’

’Does he have eyes in the back of his head or something?’

’How else would he know she wanted to leave with their son?’

As if guessing her thoughts, Javier Sinclair sneered. "Did you really think your little schemes could escape my notice? From now on, try to behave yourself."

"Of course not. Am I the kind of person who would run away with our son?"

"You’d better not be. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind separating your head from your body."

Celeste Grant: "..."

’Jerk.’

’That’s not how you use that idiom.’

’Fine.’

’I’ll just lie flat.’

’It’s all the same wherever I go.’

He might seem cold and unfeeling, but what he said made sense.

In this Cultivation World, many people wanted Javier Sinclair dead. If his enemies couldn’t kill him, they would definitely come looking for her once they knew he had a son. Using her and the baby to threaten the Archfiend or just killing them to vent their frustration were both viable options for them.

’Looked at that way...’

’She was bound to be on the same side as the leader of the Demonic Sects.’

’Oh, well.’

’Might as well join the Demonic Sects then.’

"Exalted One, I want to join the Demonic Sects. What are the requirements for the Bloodfiend Den to recruit disciples?"

Javier Sinclair: "..."

’She still hadn’t forgotten about that?’

He looked down at her, his gaze shifting from her face to the whelp in her arms.

’The big one and the little one were both in his arms, being held by him. And this woman was telling him she wanted to *join* the Demonic Sects?’

He sneered.

"Celeste Grant, it’s a wonder you’ve survived this long. Who am I?"

She answered without thinking, "The leader of the Demonic Sects."

’So she did know he was the leader of the Demonic Sects.’

"You’ve already borne my son. If you’re not a member of the Demonic Sects now, what are you? A member of an Immortal Sect?"

As he spoke, they had already arrived on the ship.

Javier Sinclair set her down.

Celeste Grant’s feet touched the deck.

She glanced at the son in her arms, then back at the Archfiend.

’So now I’m the mother of a Second Demon Generation? In a way, I guess I’ve already joined the Demonic Sects.’
