As the two ladies walked quickly across the hospital corridor, Helena spoke in a furious voice while shooting Charlotte a death glare. "Do you know why Daniel was hurt like this? Or who was responsible for his condition?"
Charlotte nodded her head with her face still showing her usual serious expression. "I did indeed find out about this unfortunate matter, Ms. Helena." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Well then! You better tell me what the hell happened right now! I need to find out who hurt my husband, and I can't forgive them for this! No matter who it was, I'll make them pay dearly for what they have done!" Helena exclaimed, shaking with anger while clenching her hands tightly.
Charlotte continued nodding in agreement with her boss' statement. "Yes, of course. I understand. But I advise that we head to Mr. Daniel's room first so that you can confirm his condition for yourself before I reveal all the details I have."
With that being said, she led Helena into an elevator where they rode all the way up to the VIP floor. Once they stepped out, Charlotte then guided Helena towards Daniel's room that was guarded by security guards standing outside to prevent anyone unwanted from entering the room.
Upon entering through the door, Helena instantly saw her husband lying unconscious on a bed covered with several bandages, and there were also several machines hooked up to him that kept track of his vital signs, showing various readouts and numbers.
She was absolutely shocked and horrified at the sight in front of her, finding his limbs wrapped up in casts while lying lifelessly on the hospital bed.
Helena's face turned pale in shock when she saw this sight. But her expression quickly changed into one filled with rage and fury upon seeing Daniel in such a horrible state.
"This bastard..." Helena uttered, gritting her teeth together as she stared at her injured husband, who wasn't conscious anymore. "Just where did he manage to get himself in this terrible mess?"
Then Helena turned and faced Charlotte with fire burning in her eyes. "Now! Tell me all about what happened to Daniel!" She demanded. "I need to know what the hell went wrong with Daniel."
Charlotte bowed respectfully before responding to Helena's inquiry. "Yes, Ms. Helena. According to the information that I've gathered, Mr. Daniel went to the Nightmare Club, where he ended up getting into a fight with someone. And that person happened to be someone with ties to the owner, resulting in him being severely injured after being thrown out of the club by his bodyguards."
Helena stared wide-eyed at her assistant for a second, letting those words sink into her mind. "Wait, hold on! Let me get this straight! Daniel got himself into a fight with someone in the Nightmare Club? The same club where people go to play around freely? Without any limitations?"
Charlotte nodded her head once more without saying a single word.
"Damn it... So this asshole went there to cheat on me, didn't he? How dare he try to do such a thing behind my back!? Does he have a death wish!?"
Helena couldn't hold back her rage anymore, cursing under her breath at Daniel for betraying her trust. She knew very well how many times she had cheated on him. But it was unacceptable for him to betray her like this after she sacrificed to stay with him, so she wouldn't forgive him for this.
"If that was the case, then he deserved all of this." Helena crossed her arms and glared at Daniel with a cold expression. "To be honest, I would've broken off his limbs myself for cheating on me and humiliating me like this."
However, despite Helena feeling furious over Daniel cheating on her, she still couldn't stand by and allow anyone to get away with hurting him. After all, Daniel was still her husband, and she wouldn't just let anybody hurt him and get away with it.
"Okay, since you already know the story, I guess you must also know who caused this to happen then." She narrowed her eyes as she stared hard at Charlotte. "I don't care if they're working for the Nightmare Club or some criminal organization or whatever. Just hand them over to 'Mad Dog' and let him deal with the bastard who did this to Daniel."
The moment she finished speaking her words, Charlotte hesitated for a second and frowned before opening her mouth again. "But Ms. Helena, you must know that the person responsible for causing your husband such harm might not be some ordinary person. To make the Nightmare Club follow their orders and take care of the situation..."
"Who cares if he's connected with someone from the Nightmare Club!? That club is just some cheap whorehouse anyway!" Helena interrupted Charlotte without even letting her finish talking. "All I want you to do is to let 'Mad Dog' take care of that person so that he pays for what he's done to Daniel. Even if I don't care about Daniel that much, he's still my husband. And hurting Daniel without giving him any face is basically slapping me in the face directly! So you better hand that bastard over to 'Mad Dog' so that he gets punished accordingly."
Although Charlotte understood Helena's point and had no objection to making whoever caused harm to her husband pay dearly, she knew for sure that whoever was behind this matter wouldn't be an easy opponent to deal with.
Especially since there are some rumors spreading around regarding their identity. However, if Helena was so adamant about it, then Charlotte wouldn't disobey her orders.
With that being decided, Charlotte gave her boss a resolute nod. "As you wish, Ms. Helena. I will prepare for 'Mad Dog' to handle this matter then. I promise he'll give that person a punishment befitting his crime for what he did to Mr. Daniel."
"Good. Then it's settled." Helena uncrossed her arms and walked away. "Keep me updated with the progress of 'Mad Dog' hunting that bastard down. Also, take good care of Daniel in the meantime and make sure nothing else happens to him."
