Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss-Chapter 34 - 32: This Is a Cultured Demon
Javier Sinclair said flatly, "Other people’s sons all get little cats or dogs as companions. My son should have one too."
’You’re so lofty, so incredible. As if what you’re saying is remotely reasonable.’
Tiber wanted to cry but had no tears left.
"My Lord, you’re mistaken. I’m a White Tiger, not a cat."
’Even being a mount would be better than being a cat. This is just bullying a tiger.’
Javier Sinclair glanced him over.
"You look about the same."
For the first time, Tiber began to question his entire existence as a tiger. ’We’re completely different, okay? Even our physiques are nothing alike!’
But then...
Being a complete coward, he let out a dry laugh.
"My Lord, you are correct. We of the Tiger Clan do bear some resemblance to cats."
’Fine.’
’Whatever you say.’
’You’re the strong one. Whatever you say is right.’
Still, Tiber breathed a sigh of relief.
"My Lord, you just want me to be a contracted Spirit Beast for your son."
Javier Sinclair: "Something like that."
’So that’s what this is about.’
He was willing.
After all, following a powerful master had its benefits. He was just a little reluctant to leave his wife and cubs.
"My Lord, if you had just stated your intentions earlier, I would have gone with you! Instead, you didn’t kill me, but you chased and beat me the entire way." It had scared him to death; he thought he wouldn’t live to see another sunrise. His she-tiger at home was still waiting for him to return.
Javier Sinclair frowned slightly. "If you hadn’t run, why would I have hit you?"
Tiber’s head drooped.
He wasn’t stupid. The man had appeared looking absolutely murderous. Since he couldn’t win a fight, what else could he do but run? ’So, it’s my fault for running.’
"I am willing to return with you, My Lord."
"I don’t want you. You’re too big, and my son is still small. Do you have any cubs? Just give me one." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
He had already been prepared to make a heroic sacrifice and part with his she-tiger, only to be rejected.
Tiber: "..."
’Is it my fault I’m big? I’m a tiger. I can’t possibly be the size of a cat.’
But upon hearing this, his eyes lit up.
He might not have many other skills, but he did have a few cubs. This man was so powerful; perhaps it would be a stroke of good fortune for one of his children to follow him.
"My Lord, please follow me."
Seeing his body covered in wounds, Javier Sinclair casually tossed him an Elixir Pill.
Tiber’s eyes lit up again.
’This aroma...’
’This is good stuff.’
"Thank you, My Lord."
’He casually tosses out High-level Elixir Pills. It seems our family has really latched onto a powerful backer. In that case, even getting beaten up was worth it.’
He was also happy to have someone else raise his cub for him. After all, once the children were grown, they had to leave their parents and live on their own. That was the rule of their Tiger Clan.
He ate the Elixir Pill and his injuries recovered. Javier Sinclair leaped onto his back, and Tiber carried him to a towering cliff on the other side. That was where his family of five tigers lived.
As Tiber neared their home, he let out a roar. A she-tiger who had recently given birth slowly emerged from the mouth of a cave, followed by three cubs.
"Where the hell have you been? I haven’t seen you for half the day."
"Flora, don’t be angry. I’m back now, aren’t I?"
Javier Sinclair: "..."
’Even Demonic Beasts are henpecked these days. Good thing I don’t want this one; it would be too embarrassing.’
The White Tiger called Flora saw that he had brought a human back and warily shielded her cubs behind her.
Javier Sinclair released the spiritual pressure of a Late-stage Divinity Transformation cultivator, and the tigers immediately prostrated themselves on the ground.
"My Lord, please calm your anger! My she-tiger is just anxious to protect her cubs."
Javier Sinclair withdrew his pressure.
Tiber explained the situation to the she-tiger in their tiger language, and only then did she breathe a sigh of relief.
The she-tiger picked up her best-looking and strongest cub by the scruff of its neck and placed it before Javier Sinclair.
"My Lord, this is my most talented child. Please treat him well."
Javier Sinclair reached out and picked it up. "This one’s not bad. I’ll take him. I will allow him to visit you in the future."
"Thank you, My Lord."
Tiber and the she-tiger were delighted.
In this world, the strong were revered.
This lord was incredibly powerful, yet he hadn’t tried to wipe out their entire family, only taking a single cub. This meant he bore them no ill will. Since it was to be a playmate for his son, this was a great opportunity for their child.
With that, Javier Sinclair grabbed the tiger cub and, with a WHOOSH, flew away from the mountain range...
「Later that evening.」
Javier Sinclair arrived at the courtyard residence again.
When he arrived, Celeste Grant was sitting on a soft couch by the window, nursing their son. Seeing him walk in, she awkwardly adjusted her clothes. "You! Can’t you make a sound when you enter? You scared me."
"Women are so much trouble."
Javier Sinclair walked over, still holding the tiger cub, and casually dropped it on the floor in front of Celeste Grant.
"Keep this cat as a companion for our son."
She glanced down.
It had the endearing, blocky head of a tiger cub and looked very cute.
"Are you sure this is a cat?"
Javier Sinclair said flatly, "They’re more or less the same."
’What kind of cat looks like this? This is clearly a White Tiger cub.’
She had heard of them before, but this was the first time she had ever seen a tiger with wings.
’So this is what it’s like to have a powerful dad. It’s pretty awesome. It’ll be so impressive to ride it as a mount someday. This is like driving a Rolls-Royce in modern times.’
Celeste Grant looked at the son in her arms, then back at the little tiger on the floor.
She had mentioned getting their son a little tiger *toy*.
’Well, damn.’
’He actually got a real little tiger.’
Celeste Grant didn’t refuse. She bent down, picked up the tiger, and placed her son’s small hand on its head. The little tiger was very cooperative; a circle of runes lit up as it signed a contract with her son, willingly acknowledging him as its master.
"From now on, you’re our big cat. You have to protect your master well."
The little tiger chirped twice and nodded repeatedly, then jumped next to Celeste Grant and found a spot to curl up.
’I will protect my young master from now on.’
Spirit Beasts are extremely loyal once they acknowledge a master.
Celeste Grant looked up at the little chick dozing by the window, then glanced at the little tiger beside her.
Just like that, her son now had two Spirit Beasts, and both were the kind that were formidable fighters.
As the saying goes, one can’t be impolite after accepting gifts. She and her son had taken so much from him.
"The Exalted One, come and sit. Would you like to hold our son?"
Javier Sinclair glanced at her.
’What is this woman up to now?’
He walked over and sat down beside her.
Celeste Grant stood up and gently passed their son to him. "Hold him like this."
Javier Sinclair held the baby. Having held him twice before, his movements were much more practiced.
The swaddled baby was currently sleeping, looking very well-behaved. He seemed to have grown quite a bit since he was born.
"All he does is sleep."
"All newborns are like that. They eat and then they sleep."
Javier Sinclair glanced at her.
Celeste Grant looked at her son, then lifted her eyes to him. She wasn’t sure if it was her imagination, but she felt that The Archfiend’s aura had become much more restrained and peaceful.
"Our son doesn’t have a name yet. You’re his father, so you should give him one."
Javier Sinclair was taken aback.
’She finally thought of me.’
Javier Sinclair gave a cold smirk.
He held the baby with one arm and held out his other hand.
A golden booklet appeared in it.
He handed it to her.
"Pick one."
"You already came up with them?"
Celeste Grant took it and opened it for a look.
There were several names written inside.
Wesley Sinclair, Harlan Sinclair, Chester Sinclair, Aaron Sinclair, Tristan Sinclair...
’Not bad. It seems he’s quite a scholarly Demon.’
Celeste Grant spoke up, "The Exalted One is quite learned. These are all good names. Let’s name our son Aaron, then. I hope he grows up peacefully and safely."
Javier Sinclair nodded.
"Fine."
