Chapter 183: Chapter 183: Ethan Sterling Stirs Up Trouble

Seraphina Redgrave, who was always composed, was also flustered, unsure whether she should make a sound now.

She had never encountered a situation like this before.

Beatrice Fawcett sighed, "What is Seraphina doing? Is she asleep? Can I come in?"

Just after saying this, Seraphina heard the gentle sound of Beatrice turning the doorknob. Seraphina didn’t dare to move, but her mouth was faster than her brain and she spoke, "Don’t come in!"

Ethan Sterling leaned over, gently biting her collarbone, alternating between light and heavy pressure, occasionally accompanied by teasing licks with his tongue.

Seraphina shivered, and the tone of her voice changed, becoming very suggestive.

Raising her amber eyes, Seraphina glanced at herself in the mirror, seeing the usually calm and collected self with eyes red-rimmed and full of daze.

Ethan was very satisfied seeing Seraphina like this; she was completely devoid of her usual emotionless demeanor.

Looking at Seraphina, Ethan’s eyes and brows were filled with smiles.

Seraphina listened to Ethan laugh out loud, placing her hand on Ethan’s shoulder and glared at him.

"Isn’t it nice to hear? Make more sounds in the future."

Ethan’s voice was low and hoarse.

Seraphina felt murderous.

Outside, Beatrice quickly withdrew her hand and cautiously asked, "Seraphina, are you okay? Why does your voice sound off?"

They were separated by only one door.

It was the first time Seraphina felt so guilty. She took a deep breath, trying hard to calm down, "I have a bit of a cold."

Ethan lowered his head, biting Seraphina’s nightgown and slowly slipping it off her shoulder.

Her body was full of the milky scent of shower gel.

"A cold?" Beatrice sounded worried, "I brought some medicine; should I bring it to you?"

Seraphina was the pillar of The Defiance Society. Although Beatrice was the contestant, she knew clearly that even if she got sick, she absolutely couldn’t let Seraphina fall ill.

Otherwise, she really wouldn’t know what to do in tomorrow’s competition.

"No need!"

Seraphina tried hard not to notice Ethan’s presence, pushing hard on Ethan’s shoulder and spoke, "I just took some medicine and want to rest. You go back first and don’t be too nervous."

Ethan gently held Seraphina’s fingertips, his gaze teasing.

Seraphina was completely frightened.

She immediately pulled back her hand, her face full of terror.

Ethan lowered his eyes with a smile and then went to kiss Seraphina tenderly, peeling her off the cabinet.

"Alright."

Beatrice was a bit disappointed and turned to leave but then heard strange noises from inside again.

Besides the sound of someone landing on the bed, there was a girl’s exclamation, and seemingly a man’s low laugh.

Beatrice leaned closer to the door trying to listen but found she couldn’t hear anything else.

Images of Seraphina’s recent strange noises flashed through her mind, rendering her dumbfounded.

No way?

Never heard Seraphina had a boyfriend before? Even if she did, there was no need to hide it from them.

Maybe she was too stressed, hallucinating.

Beatrice was convincing herself, turning around and encountered Ronan Yates, who casually said, "Hey, Beatrice, you’re here too. Quickly call Seraphina out to eat. I personally cooked, it’s really good."

"Shh!"

Beatrice signaled Ronan to be quiet with her eyes.

"What’s wrong?" Ronan didn’t quite understand, "I’ll go wake Seraphina up."

"Don’t!"

Beatrice immediately clamped Ronan’s hand, losing her usual ice queen demeanor, "Let’s go, we’d better not disturb Seraphina."

"Why so anxious? It’s not like Seraphina is fooling around with some random guy, why not call her?"

Ronan, full of confusion, was dragged away from Seraphina’s door by Beatrice.

"Quiet."

Beatrice’s face turned pale with fright as she dragged Ronan away.

Inside, Seraphina’s expression didn’t look any better. As soon as Beatrice left, she heard Ronan’s voice, staring at the door with fear that Ronan would ignorantly open it.

"Don’t get distracted."

Ethan pressed against Seraphina, frowning unhappily.

"How can I not be distracted?!"

Seraphina was nearly collapsing.

Lying on the bed, Seraphina glared at Ethan with eyes full of anger.

Seeing this scene, Ethan’s amber eyes were filled with laughter.

"Suddenly, I don’t want them to change rooms."

Ethan suddenly thought this was quite nice; with him in Seraphina’s room, she wouldn’t dare to go out and would have to stay with him.

Seraphina calmed herself while feeling that Ethan would eventually make her explode with rage one day.

Thus unfolded a round of entanglement.

The hotel lights were dim, Ethan sat on the bed observing the marks left on him by Seraphina, a rare smile in his hoarse voice, "You’re truly thorny, look at the scratches you gave me, how am I supposed to attend meetings like this?"

Ethan’s fingers brushed over his neck, where the scratches left by Seraphina were visible.

Sitting beside him, wrapped tightly in the covers, Seraphina looked at her phone, "Didn’t notice, sorry."

Uttering an apology without any sincerity.

Ethan glanced at Seraphina, "Was it unnoticed or revenge, I can feel it."

It seemed she hadn’t forgotten the earlier chaos.

"Oh."

Seraphina didn’t explain, placing her chin on her knees, she continued scrolling on her phone.

Ethan reached out to wrap around Seraphina, forcing her to lean on his chest.

She didn’t resist, complying as she continued playing on her phone.

Leaning against the headboard, Ethan parted the hair in front of her forehead, his voice low, "The President knows about your Defiance Society."

Hearing this, Seraphina paused, putting her phone aside and looking at Ethan, "That was fast."

He did all this to stand before the public, being known by the President was inevitable but faster than she anticipated.

"Now you’re willing to look at me?"

Ethan let out a cold laugh, only when it involved her Defiance Society would she put her phone down to talk to him seriously.

"What did the President say?"

Seraphina looked at Ethan, her eyes intent.

"The President knowing doesn’t require saying anything. The people below naturally know what to do." Ethan looked at Seraphina, playing with the tips of her hair, "Which means, tomorrow you will definitely face trouble."

She was now challenging all the financial classes. It seemed like she just managed a mere student society, but if she could continuously defeat Elite Society three times in the early heat of Defiance Society, it was a direct slap in the face to all the wealthy second generations, meaning she was challenging the face of the corporations.

No corporation will stand by and watch this happen.

This means the competition tomorrow will be more difficult than she imagined.

Seraphina pressed her lips, starting to think about tomorrow’s strategies.

Besides, corporations will not just watch a force they can’t control rise. They will be wary.

She nodded at Ethan, "I understand. I’ll be more careful tomorrow."

Ethan paused, his face darkened, "That’s it?"
