Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 91: What Do You Think, Huh?
[RANIA]
"No one. Absolutely no one is allowed to lay a finger on my Rania. Fight me if you must, but I must warn you, you will all be dead, before you can even think about it," the person growled out, and the whole room went eerie silent.
Everyone was watching, amused and confused at the same time. No one had expected anyone to show up for Rania and much less the person who had just walked in. It was all so unexpected because even Jungwoo paused and looked at the person who had walked in.
The warriors who had been thrown to open the throne room door were long dead, and it wasn’t hard to tell why, because they had been thrown in with so much force that any regular wolf wouldn’t have survived it.
Hell, even the alpha wolves would have suffered greatly from the impact that was made. But was that even something to think of when someone had come to save the great psycho of Obren from the hands of the royal council?
This was even more insane than the woman herself and that was worth looking into. Or maybe this person had come to make sure the trial was done, but was that really a possibility, considering the way they had walked in without so much as a care in the world?
"You actually came," Han Seong said and this time, Rania looked at the person who had just walked in and saw her jaw on the floor. She had been clear with her people, but it seemed, Rania being in danger was where the lines grew blurry.
They would always show up for her and defend her if anything, han Seong wasn’t here because he happened to be park Jihoon’s friend, no.
Han was here to make sure Rania didn’t end up dead and if the person who walked in hadn’t, then Han would have been the one to throw the prince to the wall. It was a given, and he wasn’t even scared to think of doing that anyway.
"I thought I—" Rania began but the eyes she was given by the person who walked in, reminded her to stay shut and not even squeak a word.
Instead, the great Kim Rania just looked at the person who walked in, before her brain finally registered that she was no longer being choked as she let out a series of coughs. It was almost like Rania was trying to cover up the fact that she had just been silenced, but was she?
"What the hell are you doing here?" the king asked, making everyone look between the king and the person who walked in. It was almost like the king knew that this person was bad news and frankly that was a probability.
No one had ever thrown the prince across the room like he weighed nothing. It was unheard of and the king just needed to be sure, after all, there were consequences for screwing up with the crown prince. Then again it wasn’t like this person didn’t know that already.
"Oh, really now?" the person walked in towards the center of the room. He had been covering his head with a hoodie, but when the hoodie fell off, everyone was once again in shock. The person behind the hoodie was Lim Dalrae, the Incayon beta, and Rania’s greatest defender.
The king looked at Dalrae, like he was studying her, but then was there really a point to that when the woman had just disgraced his son, and killed three warriors without blinking, and that too, before him?
Dalrae stared between the king and his queen, before she looked at everyone in the room. She could see the proud alphas glaring daggers at her, like she needed to stop, but she just didn’t give two shits about them or their damning plans.
She then looked at the older men who formed the royal council and Dalrae just shook her head disappointedly. This bunch of elders was supposed to make sure justice was found, and not encourage their prince to be a neanderthal.
Instead, they had failed at that too.
Dalrae was disappointed and pissed, but nothing pissed her more than the state she saw Rania in. Her best friend looked like she had been battling with her sanity. She looked so terrible that even the clothes that the palace had clearly given her, went enough to hide her pain.
Rania was hurting and Dalrae didn’t even need to ask questions to know she had had a rough travel from Incayon to the palace. Kim Rania had gone through hell and even then, the damned crown prince still had the guts to choke her?
Dalrae let out a low growl directed at the crown prince. This was the kind of tomfoolery that she was never going to let pass. But first, she needed to deal with the woman herself. She could fight them. Rania could fight the prince and win, but instead, she had done nothing.
She had let herself be the subject of ridicule and be weak when she could easily destroy this whole council with just three words about their existence. This girl had so much power but instead, she had let them trample on her.
’You got a lot of explanation to do, Rani,’ Lim Dalrae said angrily to her alpha in the mind link, making Rania look at her with a smile. But all that faded when Rania saw the gaze Dalrae was giving her.
Of course, Kim Rania was very aware she was in deep shit with Dalrae. She didn’t want to add to the trouble, but damn, was it so tempting to see Dalrae mad.
However, Rania seemed to have a change of mind, because instead of causing more trouble, she just squirmed under Dalrae’s deadly gaze. Kim Rania never squirmed but this time, she knew she was in the wrong for not defending herself.
Dalrae’s gaze was one full of pain and disappointment, but more than anything, it was one that reflected just how angry Lim Dalrae was at the situation that she had found her alpha and best friend in.
She had come from Incayon to see the trial but instead, she had been met with the prince choking her best friend. Oh, how she despised the prince even more now.
"What do you think, huh? You’re the king, would you care to tell me what the hell I’m doing here, or rather, what the fuck your weka pathetic son was doing to my Rani?" Dalrae asked, her voice sounding so pissed like the king had just dared to take someone that was so important to her.
The king squeezed his eyes at Dalrae, but the Incayon beta wasn’t fazed at his gesture. Instead, she walked towards Rania who was staring at her with smiles on her face. It was almost like this was something expected, but Rania was happy that Dalrae had come for her.
"You just never listen. I told you to wait for me. I told you not to push the damn thing forward. I warned you against this, but you just never listen, do you?" Dalrae scolded as she checked on Rania.
She wanted to be sure that her best friend was doing okay. Sure, Jungwoo choking Rania wasn’t the kindest of things and he could have broken her trachea, but damn, Dalrae was pissed about every other thing.
Even the clothes Rania wore, made her mad.
"It’s quite the turn of events, right?"
