Chapter 210: Everything Moved Into the Master Bedroom

The man next to her stretched his long legs, walked to the bed, and sat down, casually leaning against the headboard. He then slowly said, "Mom will be coming to stay for a few days."

Mia Sutton immediately understood. They had to pretend to be very much in love, so how could they possibly sleep in separate rooms? If others found out they were sleeping separately, they would definitely be suspicious. So it made sense for Jensen Sterling to move things over.

"Then... why didn’t you message me? If I had known, I would have come back earlier to keep Auntie from waiting for so long." Mia raised her hand, rubbed her hair, and sat down on a chair on the side. She casually picked up her stuffed toy from the bed and held it in her arms.

Then Mia saw Jensen smiling. He had his phone in one hand and tapped the screen twice with the fingertips of the other: "Check your phone."

Mia was a bit dazed. After coming to her senses, she quickly picked up her phone. Opening WeChat, she was dumbfounded.

So many messages, each sent at intervals. The last message was sent around half-past three in the afternoon.

Mr. Sterling: Mia, Mom said she’ll be coming to stay for a few days.

Mr. Sterling: I moved all your stuff into my room.

Mr. Sterling: You’re busy, so reply when you see this.

Besides Jensen, even Cameron Grant had sent her a message.

Mia: "..."

A few seconds later, she held her phone, slowly looked up, somewhat embarrassed, and said, "Sorry, Mr. Sterling, I was busy and didn’t check my phone after I finished."

Jensen: "No problem, I was just asking which things I should move."

When Jensen went into Mia’s room, he found a lot of things and wasn’t sure which ones were unnecessary, so he sent a message to ask.

Mia: "So, which ones did you end up moving?"

Jensen then looked at her with a smile, glanced around the bedroom, and said lightly, "All of them."

Since he couldn’t decide which things to move, he decided to move everything. After all, the master bedroom was big enough to fit everything.

Mia: "..."

She looked down at the stuffed toy in her arms... It made sense; if he brought this over, he probably didn’t leave anything out.

Mia thought for a moment and then asked, "So, how long will Auntie be staying?"

Jensen hesitated for a moment, then looked at her. Under Mia’s hopeful gaze, he slowly uttered three words: "I don’t know."

Mia: "..."

Jensen genuinely didn’t know, as even the decision about his mom’s visit was made by her and relayed to him afterward.

Even moving those things was handled by someone else, who also helped reorganize the master bedroom to make it look more like it housed two people’s lives.

After some mental preparation, Mia calmly accepted the situation. What other choice did she have?

Her beautiful eyes blinked as she scanned the room. Besides the floor-to-ceiling window, where originally only Jensen’s desk was, now there was her vanity table. The bookshelf, once filled with somber literary works, now had a small section for the miscellaneous books she had bought. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

The room felt completely different now, like it carried the breath of another person’s life. The only thing that seemed a bit out of place was how her things clashed slightly with the room’s main color scheme...
