Chapter 149: Guns and guests - II

The next course of action was fairly easier than the rest of it.

The planning was much more difficult because it has basically come out of an idea that one of them had had.

Even though they were newly appointed leaders self made and self learned, Salvatore and his inner circle had expected them to have some kind of experience from another leader or hearsay or rumors that one must have had in this line of business.

But clearly, they had not.

Not even one of them had suspected the fact that Salvatore had called not one but all upstairs gang members along with the entire inner circle.

In fact what seems to be the most peculiar thing to him was, each and every person had RSVPed.

It was full of amusement to how many of them tried to stay behind in case anything happened to the rest of them.

It seemed that everyone was excited to receive an invitation and none of them could say no. In fact they could not even think straight.

Everything was completed by his men and by the time the next day’s evening rolled in, the mansion was ready for the party.

Salvatore watched from the balcony of the second floor making sure that he was not seen by anyone else. For now, he just wanted to see each and every man that had come by now and everyone that he had invited and was yet to come.

Almost every gang leader and most of their members were here.

The others, according to his sources of information, were on their way.

He took a sip of his whiskey and sighed slightly as his eyes moved to every guard of his standing armed and ready to shoot.

It was questioned his honor because he was killing people inside his house but those people was stupid enough to enter a house with guns and weapons.

If they had refused to enter the house of a man with guns with them or any kind of pain that could cause anyone harm, it would make them innocent because they would not have anything to defend himself with.

However that was not the case.

Now, no one could question his honor and his capability of following the rules that were set for every family to follow. Never forgetting to mention that these rules could be bent anytime he wanted.

Michelle appeared next to him. "A few are yet to come."

Salvatore tsked. There was one thing to come too late given that no one would come first. These people were actually late.

It had been an hour and this was usually the time for announcements.

Fuck, these men would never survive in his world.

"How many?"

"Four gangs, at least." Michelle’s monotone voice irritated him slightly. "We have to wait, don’t we?"

He nodded. Because if he did not wait for them, they would survive and would go into hiding.

"Is everything else according to the plan?"

"Yes, sir." Michelle answered. "The men are heavily armed and the others are hidden. Even the waiters and waitresses are from our side. They too, are ready to kill."

"And how many do we have from our side?" Salvatore questioned. He knew that number but extra knowledge never hurt.

"A hundred here," Michelle sounded almost proud of his answer, "another hundred around the house and even more in the estate. We are good to go for any kind of attack."

When he received the news from Michelle, saying that every gang leader was here Salvatore moved down stairs with Mikayla by his side.

Every pair of eyes turned to him when he started to walk down stairs with the blond woman by his side. Mikayla was a carbon copy of Evelyn when it came to her features and what did not match Evelyn he made sure that her makeup did the job.

She was not Evelyn and whoever had seen Evelyn could tell that without missing a beat. However with these people it was not going to be a problem because Salvatore knew for a fact that none of them had actually bothered to get any kind of ground work done on him before they got here.

Every man was excited to meet him and he could tell that as he descended the stairs but none of them knew anything about him in the voice none of them would be meeting his eyes.

"Ah!" A voice cried out from the crowd takes everyone’s attention including the young Don. "Mr Alessandro, how nice of you to invite us to your house. I must say I was not expecting it!"

What he should not be expecting is walking out of it on his two feet.

He chuckled and a fake smile came to his face. "We have to be introduced to each other. This presented a wonderful opportunity."

The man won’t survive a gunshot wound. He would not even make it with just a graze.

Every leader came to him. All gloating and proud of the fact that they had a few blocks under their control.

It was funny to watch.

Even Dante tried to hide his smile against the back of his hand. These men did not know who they were dealing with.

He was a don and not a boss or gang leader of a measly organization that had employed thousands under his rule.

He huffed lightly and Emilio stepped closer to him, "how long?"

Emilio, his third in command, seemed to be jumping on his toes with excitement For what was about to happen. Emilio seemed to be the one who would enjoy the bloodshed and killing without any remorse.

"Soon." He answered even though he wanted to do the exact opposite himself. He wanted to kill them all in one go.

Salvatore was pissed himself. These men had no grace on how to conduct business and they had morals on what to talk about.

He would consider no excuse for the fact they did not know how to treat their women.

"A little bit longer." He answered looking around and in the eyes of every man.

The second time he said it more to himself. It was hard to tolerate these half shits inside his house.

Emilio asked the next question, "who fires the first shot?" The man had a sick smile on his face and if anyone saw him, he would be declared a psychopath within a second.

"Me." Dante answered as he came closer to them. "One of them harassed a maid while he was on his way to the bathroom."

That irked him.

As much as he wanted to delete the fun and make sure that he could enjoy it as much as he wanted, this was a waste of time at the end of the day.

They had bigger issues to solve and if he focused on this one then they were getting nowhere.

His eyes moved to the clock that was above the stairs. It was eight and a few minutes to fifteen.

"On fifteen." Salvatore muttered trying to save his energy for the war that was about to come.

None of the men knew what was about to come.

All three of them stared at the clock waiting for the needle to click on the digit three. Michelle had been texted about the plan and it was also conveyed to each and every Soldier.

Tick..tick..

Dante reached for the gun in the holster that was on his shoulder.

Tick..tick.. tick..

He cocked it.

Tick.. tick.

It hit fifteen and a shot rang out.

Dante stretched out his hand as he shot the man who fell down on the floor on impact.

Salvatore watched the entire scene unfold.

First as Dante took out his gun and aimed at the man. Salvatore turned his face to look into the direction of the man. The gun was fired and hit the man in the head. The glass fell first and then his body fell on top of the broken pieces of the glass.

What a very pretty sight.

He sighed lovely when he felt the eyes of every man turned to him. He was the boss of the man that had just taken a shot at another man inside his home.

"Well," Salvatore passed on his glass to a waiter who was going in for cover, "What can I say? It is an unfortunate event."

"Unfortunate event?" A man spoke up, in a very loud voice, who Salvatore assumed to be someone close to the deadman. "He is dead! And your man shot him!"

"I saw." The don drawled out. Maybe he could pass the time chatting with this man.

Even though mindless chatter was something that never interested Salvatore this seems to be interesting because the face of the man had reddened and aggravating this man was something Salvatore was enjoying thoroughly.

"You aashole!" He raised a finger at Salvatore who sighed.

Or maybe not.

Salvatore reached for his gun and shot the man square in the forehead.

"Let it begin!"
