Chapter 148: Guns and guests - I

Mikayla, a woman who desperately wanted to step up ranks, had been in his eyes for a long time. Frankly because she had slept with most of his inner circle and they all shared everything.

And by that, he meant everything.

So this woman was perfect to die.

"Who was she?" Salvatore heard from his side as he walked down the stairs. "Was she your wife? I heard she was blonde but if she was your wife," she emphasized on the word your,"She should have dressed better, right?"

If only this one knew.

Evelyn’s nightwear was fucking designer shit. Everything she had, had double zeros behind it at least.

Just as he had expected, on the gates of his house stood the Paparazzi with their cameras flashing at the sight of her and a woman around him walking down the stairs of his house and towards the car.

Salvatore did not open her door but the Guards did for both of them.

Just as the doors closed and the car was driven by the driver towards the gate Salvatore leaned close to the woman, "lower your window."

Without asking for the reason, Mikayla did as told.

The flashes of cameras and the clicks were heard inside the car as the car passed through them and the Paparazzi chased them a little but eventually were left behind.

"What was the reason for that, don?" She just out of curiosity but Salvatore did not entertain her.

How stupid of her to think that she could ask question and he would answer.

Salvatore glanced at his watch and by the time the car came to a stop, he knew that they had come to the salon.

"Get out," he muttered the command to the woman who looked taken aback by his emotionless stone and by the muttern of the command that still held the dominance of a leader.

"What?" Mikayla whispered in question, "but where are we? Are you not coming along?"

He chuckled softly. "Do what they tell you to do. They have my instructions."

Just as he finished the door to her side opened and Mikayla glanced at the man standing there holding her door open before she turned to Salvatore. "but—"

"I don’t have idle time to wait in the car," he snapped but the expressions on his face never changed, "get out."

By the end of his word, the woman practically flew out of the car and the door was closed, not giving her a chance to look back.

His driver did not give the woman a chance to knock on the door as he straight away pulled the car out of the parallel parking and onto the road.

The next place he was driven over to the headquarters of his legal company that acted as the cover for the illegal activities and meetings going inside.

Ignoring the greetings of the employees who stood at the presence of the employer walking in, Salvatore went straight into the lift.

The doors opened to the floor belonging to the ceo. This had been purposely done so that they all could have meetings without having any other employer barge in.

Inside was his inner circle which consisted of Dante, Alfonso, Emilio and Michelle.

All of them stood up at them Don walking inside.

"Is it done?" Salvatore walked In and took his seat at the head of the table straight away.

"Yes, don." Emelio answered. "All the gang bosses and members have been invited. The bosses have confirmed it along with that of tiers."

"That’s good," a lazy smirk came to the Salvatores face. "What about the shipment and the product in the warehouses in New York?"

"All moved to the police station at *** street." Alfonso answered the question. "I personally over saw it and I will be there giving live updates about the shipments and if there is an attack."

So far it has been so good.

"And about the weapons?" Dante questioned Salvatore. "You have not given any instructions to take them with weapons or let them keep them inside your house. They would find it awfully suspicious if we let them take their weapons into our houses, especially when we are going to have it as a common ground."

"I don’t think so," Michelle spoke up, the enforcer, "they are merely petty gang leaders who have been in the wrong side of the town and now have people following them. They do not come from honor and family and do not know that they have to hand over the weapon if they enter the house of someone else."

His explanation was correct because of which Salvatore gave him a not approving of his interruption and his explanation.

Honors and rules stated that if one seat had permission to enter the house of another member of a different family he would have to leave his weapons outside.

That could mean that he did not come with the intention of harming someone inside the family. Handing over his weapons meant that he did not come for violence.

Also the fact that if he handed over his weapons he could not initiate a fight and would thus, lose anyway.

Hence, families inside the house were safe.

These gangs that had erupted out of nowhere did not have the same honor and rules that were set for every family that could hold position in the underworld.

"He is right," Salvatore sighed before he got up and made himself a glass of scotch, "is everything else ready for tomorrow night? I want it to be made sure that the food is of the highest quality and nothing should be poisoned with the intention of killing anyone."

"Noted." Michelle, the enforcer, spoke loud and clear as it was a task that was supposed to be completed by him. "And what of Mikayla? Are we still going forward with the plan?"

Salvatore did not immediately answer him, rather released back into the chair and with one hand on his thigh he traced the edge of the glass with another as his right wrist remained on the table. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"Yes," he answered to every man, "everything is going to the plan we initially discussed."
