"Young miss,I don’t think it’s a good idea"Her personal maid advised her but was scared Incase she flipped out on what she just said,she knew how hot tempered Mary could get if things weren’t done her way.

"Are you questioning my decision?’’Mary alluded,tossing the magazine she was scrolling through aside while standing up to take threatening steps towards where Zoey was standing with her head bowed down and eyes shut tightly due to fear.

She loved the fear she instilled in people who thought they were wise enough to face her,she’s such a spoiled princess.

"No,I was just advising,and worried for your sake incase madam gets back home early to know of your plans,I’m just worr..."

"What!How dare you?"Mary seethed,fisting her hair in between her hand as she fisted her throat with her other hand,that’s what people don’t know about her,they always seem to get her angry with the talk of her stepmom more like gold digger.

"I’m..so..try"Zoey apologized,while clutching at her hands that were cutting her air circulation,she knew Mary wouldn’t hesitate to kill her here and dump her poor ass in the trash.

"Do you think I give a damn care about her walking up on me,now listen Zoey,you are going to do exactly as I say because you are my personal maid,you listen to me and me alone,you got that?!"

"Ye..s"Zoey said as she was pushed to the floor, Mary’s ringing phone drew her attention away from the pathetic sobbing lady sitting on the floor of her room, crying because of the harsh treatment.

She sent a glare to Zoey which she knew what that meant because her crying ceased before she answered the call.

"Hey baby girl,don’t bother about her,just get the others over,I can handle her"she said smirking mischievously while Zoey was saying a prayer her step mother doesn’t walk in on her having a party with her friends on the same day she was coming back.

Her father had gone out earlier this morning while giving strict instructions to the servants to be on their best behaviour due to the arrival of the madam,knowing who Mary was,he personally advised her to keep her coordinated before she starts throwing one of her silly tantrums.

But here she was,calling her friends over for a party knowing fully well that her mother was going to be back any minute and she really detest her friend because of their wayward life,they had been a bad influence on her since she was in highschool that she rebelled against her dad.

Mary was taken out of the country to school with the aim of her changing her lifestyle,but the spell that broke the camel’s back was when she heard he dad getting married without her knowledge while she was in new york,which led to the hate for her new mother because ever since she came back from her studies her dad was a changed man.

"See you soon"she smiled ending the call,while rolling her eyes at Zoey who had a pleading look on her face, knowing that she too was going to incur the wrath of her dad because he gave her the order to take care of her,rather,she’s been intimidated by her.

Who won’t be?Mary wasn’t one to listen,even to the elderly maids here she talks to them the way she likes.

"Now go ahead and prepare the drinks,Jenny and the others would be here soon"she clapped her hands walking over to her closet while throwing out clothes insearch of the one she would wear for her party today.

"Don’t let me find you still standing here Zoey,you don’t want to make me angry"she threatened,then heard the door finally closed after Zoey left.

"Here you are!"She gleed and took out the dress while humming her favourite song,cringing at the thought of the look on her stepmother’s face once she walked in on her having a party with her friends.

She knew how angry her dad was going to get once he knew what she did,but the disappointment on his face was going to give her pure happiness,that’s the payment for what he did to her when she’s in New York studying.

How dare he think he could just forget about her mother and take in a second wife while ignoring her pleas not to do that?

If her dad thinks that she’s going to accept that lady with warmth,he’s definitely kidding,he doesn’t know her yet.

She’s going to make their life a living hell till she goes back to where she came from,no one can replace her mother!

She went to take her bath and suddenly the events of yesterday came racing into her mind, pertaining to Nathan and what he did to her.

She knows he hasn’t called her dad to apologize for walking out on her,she’s definitely going to make him pay but that would be later,for now,she needs to take care of some family mess.

Soon after she was done with her bath,while continuously humming the tone to her favourite song as she wore her clothes in preparation for today,the knock on her room door distracted her as Zoey’s head pooped in.

"They are here"The girl said with a solemn look on her face which Mary didn’t give a shit about , for all she cared she could drown herself in self misery while she has the fun of her life with her friends while waiting for her Stepmom’s arrival.

That bitch was definitely going to take it from her!

"Okay,the drinks?"she asked, walking to the mirror to pack her hair with a band.

"Everything’s prepared ma’am"

"Okay,get out!’’She snapped at her,irritated to see her face,Zoey was growing on her and she knew if she stayed longer she might change her mind about today’s plan but that’s not going to happen.

"Hey bitches!’’She called the attention of the girls who were seated down, Jenny rolled her eyes at her,ignoring her while busy smoking while the others walked up to give her a french kiss.

"How have you been?’’she asked Lia and Stacy,before moving over to the one very person that she knew was going to irritate her stepmom once she sees her here,her best friend jenny.

"Jenny’s such a heartless bitch,she couldn’t let me bring the boys over"Lia cried out in disappointment while Stacy snickered at her comment.

Lia was such a total clutx when it comes to guys and Jenny did the right thing by not allowing her to bring her new boyfriend with them. In case he turns out to be a thief just like the old one who stole her mother’s gold necklace the last time they hung out at her house.

"Aww! I’m so sorry baby girl,but today it’s a girls hangout,don’t be offended"Mary apologized dramatically while Stacy laughed,Jenny didn’t drop any single comment just dragging her eyes all over the places inspecting everywhere.

"Where’s she?"She asked, blowing the cigarette to Stacy’s face who pushed her while Lia laughed this time around.

"Probably on her way,why asking? Are you scared already?"Mary asked, going for the wine on top of the table.

"Yeah I heard she’s such an intimidating figure,it gives me the creeps hearing that she slapped you the last time jenny was seen ..."

That’s who Lia was,a chatterbox who doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut,she stopped talking when she noticed the look Jenny sent her way.

"Intimidating my ass!I may have been scared back then but now,things have changed baby girl so cheer up and have some drink"Mary stepped in for Lia knowing it won’t be long before Jenny slaps her for her statement,although she’s hurt by the statement but that was in the past.

"How’s the blinddate?’’Jenny shifted over to her, spoiling her mood when she was reminded over what Nathan did,Stacy walking over to the speaker to turn on the music as it blasted over the speaker.

"Girl seriously?"Lia asked, covering her ears.

"What?can’t I have fun?’’She asked, rolling her eyes at her,a maid walked down from the stairs with hasty footsteps but halted in her tracks when she saw Mary.

"I don’t want to talk about it,lemme have some?"Mary said as Jenny threw the pack of cigarettes over to her which she caught.

"Young miss"Zoey called,her dad doesn’t know that she smokes,but with the way she’s acting she knew it won’t be long before he knows of what she is doing, there was CCTV everywhere which she knew but why is openly smoking knowing that she is being monitored?

What does she stand to gain with this behaviour of hers?

Her stepmother wasn’t a joke and a repetition of the last time she brought in Jenny here was going to occur again due to her stubbornness.

’Shut up Zoey ’’she said, lighting it up,while Jenny raised her thumb in approval,she started dancing to the tune of the music likewise Jenny who took the bottle of the wine, drinking directly from it.

"That’s it girl ’’ Jenny cheered as she twisted body to the tune of the music without any care in the world, going over to blow the cigarettes on Zoey’s face as the girls laughed at her trying to catch her breath,moving away from where they stood.

"That would teach you a lesson dumbass"Jenny cursed,urging Mary to drink while the prodigal daughter obliged with what her friend was asking of her.

But their entertainment was cut short when Zoey shouted Mary’s name running into the sitting room where they were, trying to catch her breath.

"The madam is..back"
