Zaiden kept his hands down the very moment they turned to find Hazel staring at both of them with her mouths widened at what they were about to do.
He sent a threatening gaze at Nathan who arched his eyebrows at him,before turning to the sick Hazel.
"How are you feeling?"He asked with concern while she observed him keenly to make sure she was just seeing things, that this wasn’t a dream.
Nathan was here in her room looking at her with concern on his face,but why? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
For all she knew about him,he would be delighted over what his brother did to her,but here he was,acting out of himself,this was so unlike him.
She felt suspicious over his new character that he was displaying in front of her likewise her Fiance who rolled his eyes at his statement before walking up to her to engulf her into his warmth,making her heart skip.
Hazel you are such an idiot!Why would your heart beat towards the very same man who nearly choked you to death?
Her inner bitch lashed out at her but she couldn’t do anything to escape from his hold,because he tightened his arms around her, trapping her from escaping from him.
She was no fool,she knew his reasons for behaving like this,he’s just trying to show his brother that she was off limits,why would he stake his claim on someone who he has accused of having an affair with his dad.
Moreover,why does he behave this way towards Nathan,it’s not like he’s interested in her,well,other than the fact that he’s a perverted jerk,she couldn’t see him falling fkr someone like her when he knows she belongs to his brother.
Her imagination ran wild at the possible thoughts of Nathan falling for her,she knew Zaiden was no better but she would rather stick with him than to marry such an unpredicted perverted freak like Nathan who she’s sure his mother would kill her if ever she got to know about his son’s interest in her.
She shuddered when Zaiden’s lips came in contact with her back,drawing her back to reality,her eyes got stuck on Nathan’s clenched fist.

For all,she knew about him,he’s not someone to show his emotions that easily so why is he freaking out in front of her,the possible reason of why he’s behaving like crossed her mind but she tried as much as possible not to listen to the last reason which was definitely not a good idea.
Nathan can’t possibly like her.
"I will leave you to rest,take care"That constant smirk on his face gave her the assurement that he’s only angry at Zaiden and nothing more.
They were just about to kick each other’s ass if she hadn’t woken up,so it’s not something she should be worried about,brothers usually fight as long as it’s not about her,she’s cool with it.
"What are you thinking about?"Zaiden’s voice brought her back as she moved away from him,sitting opposite him on the bed while he only smiled at her actions.
What was he expecting her to do?to stay in between his arms so that he could touch her as if they had no bad blood between them.
He needs to apologize to her if he wants them to be good,and not only apologize but promise not to lay a single hand on her once he’s angry.
"Are you so eager to get away from me now,do you fancy my father’s touch better?"He asked again when she gave him no reply but this time his choice of words made her angry,because he saw the way her composure changed.
"Look,I don’t know how you get to assume that I have anything to do with your dad,but this is definitely the first and last time you get to lay your filthy hands on me,I wont tolerate such treatments from you!"she blurted out bravely,yesterday she was so weak to talk due to the bad weather and her condition giving him the upperhand to do as he liked towards her, but today,she’s much more energized to face him and troublesome ass.
"I see we are back to challenging each other,but I will warn you Hazel,stop playing games you know you won’t win"He said, grabbing her face in his palm,but she knocked his hands off.
"The same goes to you mister,you need me as much as I need you for this marriage,so the earlier you start treating me right, the better before I change my mind and leave for good,and I promise you Zaiden,I’m not going to be back if you come back begging"she said with folded arms,daring him to do otherwise as she said and see her leaving him and his nasty ass.
The old and weak Hazel was gone,now it’s time to take her place in this house if she’s willing to stay with him.
"Fine!"He said surprising her,was he assuring her that he would be on his best behaviour that easily without adding any rules and regulations."But on one condition"
Just as she had said,he had things to demand if he wanted her submission in this,well,whatever it is he wants,he should know too that she also has a condition,it’s trade by barter baby!
"Including me,I also have a condition,you go..."her vice betrayed her when she felt some restrictions blocking her from speaking,she touched her trachea.
"You should rest for now,we still have time to talk about what exactly we want from each other"He said, coming closer to her,while she scooted away from him.
"Stop already,I’m not hurting you again"He said calmly with regret lacing his time over what he did to her,he helped her lie down,and covered her with the sheets.

Hazel stared at him in shock,was this another prank of his just to make her vulnerable only to hurt her anytime he wants.
Zaiden was being kind to her,her arrogant and selfish fiance was finally affectionate with her.
This must be some kind of dream!
Did he eat something wrong this morning?
He marveled her more by taking the towel, squeezing the water out to clean her face but she stopped him.
"What are you doing?"she asked, facing him with suspicious eyes,she shouldn’t fall for his kind gestures that easily,this was Zaiden we were talking about here.
"What does it seem like i’m doing?’’He asked back,"of course taking care of my fianceè!"he chided amusingly while she scoffed at him.
"Forget about it,I can do it myself"She alluded,going to take the towel from his hands but he slapped it away.
"Stop being a stubborn ass and let me do it now that I’m in a good mood"he finally gave out his reasons for doing that,which made her newfound admiration for him crumble.
"Get off"she pushed him off annoyingly.
"What’s that for?"
"Now you are in a good mood,so you won’t clean your fianceè’s if you are in a bad mood?"she asked sitting up to fold her arms at him,lips pouted at him which he found cute.
"Why would I do that? It’s obvious that you will be the one to make me angry,seeing as it’s already started even before our marriage"He continued talking even though he could see that the girl was vexed by his words,but he couldn’t help it, angry Hazel is hotter than happy Hazel.
"What?"She shouted, this time touching her throat once again from the pain,glaring at him for making her stress her vocal chords.
"See you are stressing yourself,I don’t want mom walking in here to think I’m abusing you again,so lie down and let me help you this time"He said avoiding the look on her face because he didn’t want to see her looking at him with those seductive eyes of her’s, it’s already hard for him being this close to her,he didn’t understand what exactly was wrong with him.
He should be angry at her for what she did to him but here he was pamperint her to the wits,was it because of his mother’s threat?
It’s surely not because of that,it was something else, something else which he’s afraid to admit,but he knew it was the Truth.
He can’t let her go,no,he wouldn’t as much as she’s been more of a headache to him,he still finds her likable which he doesn’t know why.
He didn’t know what exactly it is about her that drives him crazy to the extent of cleaning her face,the same face that cheated on him with his dad.
But did that matter? No!
Nathan wants what is his,and Hazel belongs to him,he won’t give Nathan the assurement over his earlier statement that he would make Hazel fail in love with him,not when he’s still in the picture.
He turned to see her already asleep even before he could apologize for almost choking her to death,his eyes fell on her inflamed neck to see the results of his treatment on them.
"I’m sorry"He heard her whispered,even while asleep she’s thinking of him,that alone made something tug in his heart,he’s definitely getting married to this woman no matter how fucked up it may seem.
Hazel belongs to him.
