"Ah!You scared me!"Zaiden exclaimed, holding his chest the moment he turned to find his dad staring at him.

After some minutes of his constant staring at his sleeping beauty,he decided to go downstairs to know exactly what really happened yesterday night.

This is the very first time something ridiculous happened in the family house. The cops were here, which were the private investigators of the old man who he called to investigate what really happened.

"How’s she?’’Ezekiel asked,this time he wasn’t angry at Zaiden’s attitude earlier at the dining table this morning.

The shock of what happened yesterday night didn’t give him any time to hold any grudges against his ill mannered son.

"She’s fine,"Zaiden replied flatly, avoiding looking into his father’s eyes, because he’s ashamed of himself for what he did to Hazel.

Truthfully speaking,he knew he was harsh on her last night but he couldn’t help it,the girl was not good at making her intention as to what reasons she wanted to get married to him known,so,he couldn’t really blame himself for taking out his aggression on her yesterday after seeing that picture.

"We need to talk ’’His father’s voice stopped him from what he was about to do,he left him not giving him time to decide whether he wants to listen to what he has to say but eventually he followed him out of the house to the garage.

Zaiden shrugged his shoulders``fine,I guess I have to do it my way"Taking his phone out of his pockets,he took out the picture of his dad’s adultery before shoving it in front of his face.

"How?.."Ezekiel was short for words he said,taking the phone from his son’s hands,he didn’t need anyone to tell him who exactly was behind this foul act."How did you get this?"

"The question should be,are you cheating on mom?"Zaiden corrected him,waiting for his dad to start the explanation,but a knock on his forehead startled him.

"What’s that for?"He snapped at his dad who shook his head at denial,he was baffled that his only son too would be too stupid enough to believe that he was capable of cheating on his mother.

"That’s for your stupidity,tell me, was this the reason why you hurt that innocent soul?"He asked, annoyed that his son was not as smart as he looks,did he eat something bad that affected his senses.

"Why is everyone antagonizing me about that girl?Earlier it was mom and now you"He said annoyingly,fed up with his family’s treatment toward him,it was as if nobody cares about him or his feelings and only goes ahead taking sides with Hazel.

"That’s because you still don’t understand that you were being fooled to believe that I’m capable if cheating in your mom with your fianceè"

"Well,did you?"He asked, which earned him a look from his dad.

"Come on son,how can you ever think I could do that to your mother? knowingly that she would skin me alive even before I can think about it"Ezekiel said which made Zaiden smile,finally his mind was relaxed.

Since his dad didn’t do anything with Hazel,then who the hell tried to build an enmity between him and his father?

His mind only went back to the one and only person who would try to do that, Nathan.

But why would Nathan do that?Yes, he knew his cousin has been talked out of his own decision to now follow his father’s footsteps,but what’s the use of creating an enmity between his dad?

Nothing could ever cause any thrift between him,his grandpa and his mom,not even Hazel, family comes first.

"You need to stop abusing that young girl and focus on the mission here son"

"Why do you have to use the word abuse,It wasn’t intentional,I just lost control,"He explained.

"But you did that to her,that’s the point"Ezekiel pointed out his mistake which he felt bad about it.

"Okay I’m sorry"

"You know who to apologize to, not me,that girl is a real treasure. I hope you get to know that soon and stop acting immature"Ezekiel lectured.

"I’m not immature,"Zaiden argued.

"Yes you are that’s why you couldn’t notice that your uncle is trying to use you against me"Ezekiel said which made Zaiden’s interest to level up"yes your uncle was the one who took the pictures,the very day I was talking to your wife"

"Fianceè not wife"He corrected.

"Listen to me son,whatever it is you think you are doing,you need to act fast because it won’t be long before you lose her to them"Ezekiel said to him,while he scratched his head nkt quite understanding what his father meant.

"What do you mean come for her?who’s coming for Hazel?"He asked not really liking this discussion at all"is she in danger?"His demeanour changed at the thought of her being in danger.

"Why are you so blind to see the truth in front of you?don’t you think it’s not a coincidence that Hazel wasn’t killed...."

"Stop it already and tell me who wants to kill her?!’’He shouted,this time his dad didn’t need anyone to tell him that his son is in love with Hazel.

He may hurt her and act like the biggest jerk but when it comes to her safety,he would do everything to keep her out of harm’s way, but he’s afraid of this new found love.

"I think Hazel is the next victim"he finally said the word that he didn’t want to reveal to him anytime soon,but he needed to let his son know so that could have the right security placed on her.

Earlier,arriving at the place where the murdered guards was,on the walls of the building was a written note with the blood of the murdered guards, stating that Hazel is the next victim.

He doesn’t know how exactly the family turned out like this but at least he knew that his brother wouldn’t stoop so low to kill that guard just to instill fear in the family members.
