365 Days To Love-Chapter 195 - ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-FIVE: Disappointed Nathan.
Disappointment upon disappointment had been his daily life,that he couldn’t actually debate on the need that maybe some forces were working against him.
He wasn’t someone who believed in all these spiritual, and superstitious beliefs but right now at this very moment,it wasn’t the same anymore.
Right now,all he needed was to see some fortune teller to assure him that he’s on the right side of life,and that there is nothing wrong with him.
He was so excited about yesterday’s event ,that he couldn’t stop thinking about the results of it all.
The results were nothing,but Zaiden fleeing the country with Hazel to God knows where.
In turn, ruining his plans about today which was supposed to be the wedding,but right now everything had been cancelled.
There’s no wedding.
No Hazel.
No exchanging of bribes,and most importantly,he had no Hazel in his hostage.
Maybe, this was just karma working against him,he tried to find any answers for all these.
Right now,all media houses and television stations were all focused on the matter at hand.
The reporters had flooded the front gate of the house,while waiting for anyone to show up to tell them what exactly was happening.
Which is not by any means any of his concern,if there’s anything Zaiden had the upper hand against him,that was always stealing the spotlight from him.
He sure knows how to keep everyone talking about him,and Hazel that he knew nothing was probably changing the fact that she belongs to him.
He had managed to leave the house through the back gate, annoyed and really pissed off that normally he needed someone or something to vent his anger upon.
But right now,he appreciates the space he had,which was rather in good turn working up against all possible reasons as to why the wedding was cancelled,and why Zaiden left with Hazel.
Nathan knew that if he had waited to have breakfast with the family,he would have surely lost control and taken his aggression on anyone that made him angrier than he is right now.
There’s absolutely no way Zaiden would have found out about his plans, there’s no way he could have done that.
He had kept everything to himself,and not even his dad or his mother knew about his plans, because he knew they were going to be a strong opposition.
They don’t fancy Hazel the way he does,but maybe his dad has already started warming up to her after finding out last night who she was.
Whereas,his mother was always the stoic cold personality she is towards Hazel,even though she’s the daughter of her husband’s ex friend.
That’s who his father is to Hazel’s dad, although he doesn’t understand the reason why he always seems to be on the bad side with people.
While his uncle tends to always have a good personality, and his dad is always the one giving bad advices.
Just as he had given to Antonio in the first beginning,that crashed his marriage with Isabella.
Honestly speaking,his dad has a hand in what Hazel’s family were going through at the moment,but he doesn’t want to accept that he’s at fault. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Rather,he was only blaming Antonio for being such a fool to his family,when he knew that it was nothing but him feeling guilty for what he did.
But Nathan had forgotten so soon that his dad doesn’t have a heart,and whatever it is he thinks he’s doing was nothing but him, trying to elevate himself from being the reason why the family was not united.
That’s a lot of problem at the moment, because if Hazel gets to know that it was his dad who was the mastermind behind everything that happened years ago,she’s definitely not going to speak to him again.
Well,he knew that she’s not even planning on forgiving her parents,but rather had run off the moment her mother tried changing her mind.
He could have gotten a clue of what she and Zaiden were planning,had it being that nosy and irritating brat of James Brown didn’t took his time.
And right now,not only was he on cold feets with Hazel,he knew nothing of her whereabouts,and had no clue on when they plan on coming back too.
Although,he’s quite sure that Zaiden wouldn’t think of abandoning his responsibilities just because of her,well,if he did, that was a whole level of proving his love for Hazel.
But that’s nothing but stupidity if he plans on doing that, that’s like giving him the rights of production without any fair fight between the both of them.
That would be so boring, and a huge slap to his face if he gives up the company so easily, because of some women.
That was the only difference between him and Zaiden,but he wouldn’t be a fool to do that for some woman.
The company matters a lot to him, regardless of what he feels for Hazel, which was only nothing, but the need to have her on his bed.That’s all.
He’s not in love with her,and would change his mind if being in love with her would require him doing what Zaiden was doing.
Yeah,she does have a great body to die for,but that’s plain stupidity that his father would slap off his face once he gets to know what he’s about to do.
But the doubt,that he was wrong about what Zaiden was planning to do was strong,he had proven to him times without number that he’s not giving up his birthright that easily.
Even if he was having any thoughts of doing that ,his uncle wouldn’t easily give him the company without getting his son’s head right back in the game.
For the love of God,this was a whole lot of money and inheritance that would reach his tenth generation to come if he’s in charge of it.
That was the only good thing his grandpa had ever offered the family,aside from that he was nothing,but an old cunning fellow who treats his dad partially for being an illegitimate heir.
He disheveled his hair,and let out a loud sigh while keeping his attention on the road.
It didn’t sit well with him that he’s nothing,but an illegitimate heir too.But he wouldn’t let that cloud his mind, and lose his focus on the task ahead of him .
That’s the least he could do for himself,now that Hazel’s is not close anymore to distract him from what he wanted.
He could do without her,after all there’s still Lucy,her doppelganger and his good girl who was going to do everything he wanted without questioning.
That was like having a free toy without paying to do anything he likes with,and she was being too submission these days.
But deep down within in,he couldn’t and won’t forget today,when he would have gotten Hazel in his grasp.
That would be a huge achievement,but right now things are not working in his favour anymore, when it comes to the woman he’s attracted to.
That left him with no option but to being the Nathan he was,before she came along.His mother would be so pleased.
His phone rang, and he knew that it was nobody but his dad,he wasn’t in any mood to talk to him at the moment.
So,he switched his phone off too, it wouldn’t be so bad to disappear the way Zaiden and Hazel did.He needed the rest until things cooled down.
The drive to his villa was a long one because he was occupied with his thoughts,but it was stressful when he remembered what today could have given him.
He parked his car, surprised because he didn’t find Eric in his spot as he usually does,incase Lucy thinks of doing anything funny.
That was where she comes into the picture, because he only needed her for today but the plans didn’t went through today.
Does that mean she gets to leave?
He asked himself.
"Boss"Eric called him.
Turning to find Eric at his sides,he only nodded his head at him before walking inside the sitting room without anything much to say.
He knew what happened already,no need to stress himself from talking to him about it.
It was really peaceful unlike the family house,but Lucy was anything but peaceful when he’s not here,and that’s something to worry about because he didn’t find her.
Was that something he should be worried about,or was it just him being unnecessarily paranoid today?
"Where’s Lucy?"He turned to Eric, whose face told him that something was off..
He didn’t pay much attention to that when he greeted him outside,but right now he’s anything far from what he imagined him to be.
"Boss, there’s..I.."Eric stuttered.
He stuttered.
"What the hell are you trying to say,you mother fucker?"Where’s she?!"He demanded in an aggressive tone.
Today was definitely not his lucky day.
"She escaped, boss.I’m so sorry she took the keys when I...’’Eric’s statement was cut by Nathan’s fist connecting with his face.
He staggered,before he drew him by his collar to meet his face."Now listen,I don’t care what you do to find her, but i promise you would be dead before midnight if i don’t see that bitch back here,got that?"
"Yes boss"
Pushing him"Get your fucking as on that road, and find that ungrateful excuse of Hazel’s doppelganger!"He yelled, kicking Eric’s foot with his shoes .
He took a cigarette from his pocket and light it up the moment Eric left, clearly, he’s pissed off.
If Lucy was a threat that he didn’t see coming his way,he didn’t know that until now.The bitch has lived with him for months,and knew everything that has being going on.
He has to find her!
The stress was what he didn’t need,but she would pay for that when he gets his hands on her.
