365 Days To Love-Chapter 196 - ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-SIX: Being There For Her.

12:00 midnight.

Zaiden stared at the sleeping beauty that had fallen asleep in his arms,he couldn’t help but praise himself at how lucky he is for finding such a gem.
But right now, that gem of his that is so precious to him was hurting and is in pain.
It hurts him too whenever he looks into her eyes, and sees how she always tries to keep up a facade that she’s okay since yesterday they arrived here.
He understood what she was doing,as much as she’s not in her best mood ,she’s trying not to let it get to him.
But what she didn’t know was the fact that he’s known her too well,to realize what she’s doing,and he couldn’t help but love her for it though.
Sometimes,he couldn’t help but wonder what exactly he did to deserve such a soul like her.
He’s not the best option right now as a perfect husband for her, because his family has offered her nothing but the insecurity that comes with living with them.
Her life might have not have being worth living before she met him, but atleast that was more better than living with him with a murderer on the loose insearch of her.
The only thing he did offer her was danger,and if she hadn’t met him,she wouldn’t have met her real parents and being this way.
He blamed himself.
Yeah,he did.
He offered to protect her,but right now he wasn’t doing anything about that,and did he forgot to mention how their wedding meant alot to her?
She made it quite clear to him that she wanted to marry him,even though he’s being nothing but a jerk to her in the first place.
And also, coupled with the fact that he didn’t know what exactly pushed her to take such a riskz as complying with his parents’ wish to marry him.
She could sit to think of the possibilities of him not changing,and rather would still be the same man he is.
What if he didn’t change?
But no sane man would look at such a beauty,and wouldn’t make any effort to try to be the best man for her.
Hazel is everything he could ever ask for,she has the brain.The beauty to gratify the fact that Zaiden doesn’t settle down for less.
And most importantly,the personality.Her down to earth personality that made her fall real hard for her.
So,what else would he ask for in a woman,when he’s already in heaven whenever he’s with Hazel?
Brushing his fingers lightly on her face, to push off the tendrils of her hairs that covered her face away from his view,his hands went down to caress her cheeks lightly.
He didn’t want her waking up anytime soon,she needed the rest to get back to herself.
That’s what he knew and what he intended on her doing,when they ran off from the country.
He couldn’t help but imagine the hurt on his mother’s face,when she gets to know what they did.
She had been the most enthusiastic about this wedding,and had put in a lot of effort more than him,or any one else in the family because of the wedding.
A compensation for stressing her out wouldn’t be required once they are back,but he knew his mother too well that she wouldn’t be bothered about compensation if Hazel is not okay.
Unlike his dad,who had been the one who was at fault for Hazel’s retaliation towards everything.
Was he happy?
He should be at peace, since he has gotten what he wanted by inviting her parents over without consulting with her first before making decisions on his own.
Her parents, especially her dad would be really happy right now after hearing the news of what she did right?
They all should be happy that Hazel is no more the happy woman she was,before all this started happening.
But amidst all that,One thing is very clear and that is she’s not coming back anytime soon.
She had always loved paris,and this was a surprise that he had planned ahead of them after the wedding was done.
But right now,she didn’t even appreciate the fact or get excited about being in Paris,rather she had locked herself away from everything but not him.
She had brought up this idea of the both of them running away together,but no matter what happens,she can’t do without him.
He’s happy about that, finally she has gotten used to the fact that they are one, and can’t do things with each other.
He would have gone mad,and burnt the whole of Nestar city if she had run off alone,that would have been what would have broken him. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
But she didn’t act like Anna,and that’s Hazel,his angel.
Standing by him,and showing his value in her life,not Nathan,but him.Not even her twin brother,Ethan but him, Zaiden Knight’s.
He felt her whimpering and moved close to hold him for her dear life,as if she was scared that he wouldn’t be here if she woked up.
Which was something he won’t and would never do,no matter what happens.He wouldn’t abandon his babygirl.
Not even his responsibilities at the company, would make him not fulfill his obligation as her husband.
He kissed her temple, and snuggled in more to feel her body,to which she responded by wrapping her arms around him more.
But his phone’s vibration at that moment,made him sit up immediately and decline the call from his dad.
He let out a relieved sigh when he looked back at his angel to still find her sleeping,the pills he had slipped in her drink while having dinner with her really helped though.
He wanted her to rest, and had resorted to that because she’s not being complying to his request.
She barely eats,which he tried everything possible to make her get something into her system before she falls sick.
They would be the last straw that would break the camel’s back,he barely even know how to take care of himself when he’s sick,so how would he take care of Hazel if she falls sick?
The persistence of his dad was on another level tonight,that he had no option but to answer his call,but not right here.
He didn’t want to wake Hazel up,and besides,she had switched off her phone and had told him to do so too.
If she found out that he had been lying,and taking calls from the family about when they would be back,she would feel betrayed.
So,he had to move on to the verandah,while ensuring one more time that she was fast asleep.
"Father"
"It took you a whole day and twelve hours to pick up my calls, ’’Ezekiel complained,while tapping his hands on the center table in the sitting room.
Which was a sign of him feeling guilty for what he did,after the drama last night with Avery,he didn’t sleep well.
"Don’t expect me to do that,I mean,why would i even pick up your calls when you are the reason all of this is happening?"
He questioned his dad,and there was a long pause between the both of them which made it known to him that his dad wasn’t at rest either.
"Fine! I admit its my fault son,but i didn’t mean any harm to Hazel,why would you think i would intentionally do all that just to make her sad and inturn ruin your wedding?"
"I don’t know, you tell me"He replied corkily.
"Son..."
"How’s mother"Zaiden asked, avoiding his question,he’s in no mood to talk about any of that with him.
His apologies should be tendered to Hazel,and not to him,but Hazel’s phone was switched off.
Even if she did switch on her phone?He’s hundred percent sure that she wouldn’t pick up her calls, regardless of who’s calling.
"That’s another reason why i called, she’s being giving me the cold shoulder and the silent treatment since last night."He complained, touching his throbbing temple,
"Would you do me the favour of asking Hazel to call her back anytime soon"she added,"She’s definitely going to kill me if she doesn’t hear from her soon"
"I will try dad,but i don’t think now is a good time for that,she’s still finding it hard to open up to me,"Zaiden said, pinching his nose.
His mom would have to be patient for a while if she wants to hear from Hazel,it’s hard on his part here.
"How’s she coping?"
"Really bad dad,I didn’t imagine her to be the running away from home type, her parents are in really deep shit,I don’t think she’s changing her mind anytime soon"He admitted.
"She would come along soon, son"
"I pray so"
"Just try to be there for her,she needs you the most now,I would take care of things over here until you are back"Ezekeil advised.
"I will dad, thanks for calling"
"Okay,talk to you later,"
"Bye".
The call ended,with his dad’s words running through his mind,which was what he intended on doing.
He needs to be there for her,Hazel needs him the most now and he wouldn’t let her down.
