Chapter 186: Chapter 186: Is That All You’ve Got?

Vincent is over six feet tall, and May is petite, so even helping him is tough, let alone dressing him.

"Ugh, forget it. I’ve had enough of you two." Victor couldn’t bear to watch May struggle like this and sighed helplessly, turning around to help Vincent get dressed.

It was only at this moment that Victor realized something was wrong with Vincent: "Hey, is there something wrong with your husband? How come he’s still not waking up?"

May glared at him angrily and scolded, "You’re the one with problems! Can’t you see he was drugged unconscious?"

"Drugged? So, you’re saying that this vixen drugged your husband, then took advantage to snap photos and make you misunderstand?" Victor isn’t stupid; he figured it out right away.

As May helped Vincent put on the last piece of clothing, she pleaded with Victor, "Could you please help me carry him out?"

"What about you?" Victor asked, still uneasy as he watched May.

May turned her head to look at Melanie, still sitting on the floor with her head hung down, not knowing what she was thinking, and sneered coldly, "What else? Of course, punishing that bitch."

"I love that stuff, let me do it!" Victor loved disciplining shameless women the most, so hearing May say that, he quickly called over two subordinates, who helped carry Vincent out, while he pulled over a chair to sit, determined to get involved.

"You just stay out of this. I have a way to deal with her. Please close the door, and don’t let anyone in without my permission, thanks."

May grabbed Victor off the chair, without saying a word, and pushed him out of the bedroom.

Victor worried that May would be harmed by Melanie, so he refused to leave, "What if you’re hurt by that bitch?"

May turned back at Melanie’s empty space and deliberately flexed her knuckles, letting out a cold chuckle, "You forgot my skill of bending steel bars with bare hands? Who knows who’ll hurt who?"

"This..." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Bang!" Before Victor could say anything, May decisively slammed the bedroom door shut, locking everyone outside.

"Alright then, it’s just us now. Stop pretending and get up!" May turned back and intentionally gazed coldly at Melanie on the floor.

Melanie gritted her teeth, a sinister smile playing on her lips: "You’re quite forgiving, huh? Your man slept with me, and you’re still calm enough to talk?"

"Who said I wanted a calm talk with you? What are you thinking?" May suddenly stomped on Melanie’s shoulder, kicking her to the ground.

"Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. Those photos were intentionally taken by you, right? You’re so desperate for a man, huh? Vincent wouldn’t have ended up in your bed if you hadn’t drugged him!"

May’s current strength was extraordinary, combined with her unyielding hatred for Melanie. This kick barely missed making Melanie spit blood.

Since Melanie bound her as a sacrifice for that old woman, since she killed her grandmother, May had sworn never to let Melanie have a good day again.

After being kicked to the ground by May, Melanie finally managed to catch her breath, using the table leg to stand up laboriously, a chilling smile still on her lips: "May, you really hate me, don’t you?"

"Shouldn’t I hate you? I could tear you apart, do you believe?" Remembering her grandmother’s tragic death, May clenched her teeth and glared at Melanie, questioning her: "You’re too vicious. How could you harm grandma at such an age? Are you even human?"

"So what? Ha, ha ha ha..." Melanie continued to laugh coldly, ignoring her, and her laughter sounded particularly eerie.

Just as May frowned watching her, thinking she had gone mad, Melanie suddenly grabbed a box from the table, opened it swiftly towards May, and unexpectedly, a green object shot towards May’s face.

Startled, May quickly dodged, grabbing the thrown object.

In her hand was a three-inch-long snake, entirely emerald green, clearly a deadly venomous snake.

Fortunately, May grabbed it accurately, gripping just below its head, so although the snake was venomous, it posed no immediate threat to May’s life.

May glanced at the snake in her hand and suddenly sneered as she flung the still-alive snake onto Melanie, causing Melanie to scream in panic.

"Is this all you got? You dare to ambush me?" Seeing Melanie’s panicked expression, May laughed mockingly.

The snake was a Bamboo Viper, yet smaller and deadlier than a regular Bamboo Viper, obviously cultivated as a Poisonous Insect. Good thing she had grown up in the countryside and wasn’t overly petrified of snakes, insects, and rodents.

Additionally, her body had recently been changing constantly, not only was her strength astonishing, and her wounds healing quickly, but her reflexes seemed to be accelerating and enhancing, which was why she easily dodged Melanie’s attack just now.

After finally tossing the snake onto the ground, Melanie retreated several steps fearfully until reaching the corner wall, then stopped.

After being thrown to the ground by Melanie, the snake didn’t panic and slip into the gaps; instead, it circled on the ground, then slowly slithered towards May.

Watching the snake slither towards her, May felt a bit scared. This snake, after all, was a Poisonous Insect, much harder to deal with than other kinds of snakes. What if it attacked her again?

To her surprise, when the snake reached May’s feet, it did not attack her and didn’t plan on leaving; instead, it obediently moved at her feet, then curled into a ball, nestling by May’s side, seemingly very reliant on her.

A snake only behaves like this when it feels comfortable and safe, indicating it doesn’t see May as a threat, instead, it appears very dependent on her, as if May is its owner.

Upon seeing this, Melanie was stunned, unsure of what to do momentarily, only reacting after a while, frantically raising her ring and chanting incomprehensible spells towards the snake at May’s feet.

Under Melanie’s spell’s enchantment, the snake suddenly darted from the ground, aiming at May’s neck, ready to bite.

Luckily, May had prepared in advance. The instant the snake sprung up, she grabbed it, directly squeezing the snake into powder.

Indeed, the snake did not manage to attack May before she crushed it into dust.

"You’re not human!"
