Chapter 152: Chapter 152: Trouble in Adventurer Guild!

A man with neat black robes and a practiced smile. He looked to be in his late twenties and wore a C-Rank badge proudly on his chest.

"Greetings, Junior Brother," he said in a warm voice. "I’m Liu Nin—a C-Rank Adventurer. As your Senior, may I offer you some advice?"

He placed a hand on Reon’s shoulder.

"C-Rank quests are incredibly dangerous. Even I struggle with them at times. You shouldn’t overestimate yourself—especially not because some beautiful girls praised you."

His tone turned serious.

"Value your life. You don’t need to prove anything to anyone."

Reon clenched his jaw, anger showing on his face.

He slowly removed Liu Nin’s hand from his shoulder and stared into his eyes.

"Senior? Advice? Do you really think you’re worthy of either?"

A hush fell around them.

Reon’s voice was cold as ice.

"Where was this noble Senior Brother when that brute tried to beat me just because of a bump?

When he wanted to smash my face in over his fragile ego?"

Reon raised a hand and pointed toward Liu Nin’s junior brother, now sulking in a chair.

"You were right there—sitting beside him. Laughing. Mocking me. Watching as a ’Junior’ got bullied."

"That’s..."

Liu Nin’s expression froze.

’He knew where I was sitting?’ Liu Nin thought, panic flickering across his face.

’Tch... I wanted to befriend him and build connections with those Higher Races through him.’

But he recovered quickly, forcing a smile.

"Ah, you misunderstand, Junior Brother. That was just a test. I wanted to see if a newcomer had the courage to stand their ground. I was going to step in eventually... but the Elf got there first."

He chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender.

"I simply wanted to see if you had what it takes to be a real adventurer."

Reon’s eyes gleamed—dark and dangerous, like a storm on the verge of erupting.

Then, his voice thundered through the hall.

"Shut. Up."

He unleashed his aura into those two words—not just voice, but pressure.

Raw, unfiltered intent surged forth, laced with both his newly formed Mana and Spiritual Qi.

He didn’t borrow strength from Cloudia. Nor did he rely on the little tiger’s fierce might.

But even without them... the pressure he released was monstrous for mortals.

It was the aura of a Mid-Stage Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator.

Far above the standards of any C-Rank adventurer.

The Adventurer Guild fell into dead silence.

Reon’s presence spread like a suffocating fog.

Heavy. Crushing. Irresistible.

One by one, those who had mocked him seconds ago began to falter.

"W-What... is this terrifying level of pressure?" whispered the girl who had laughed at him earlier, now pale and trembling.

"Ugh... W-What’s happening to me... I-I’ll die if I stay here a moment longer!" Liu Nin’s junior brother gasped.

His legs buckled, and he stumbled toward the exit, dragging himself away in sheer terror.

"M-Mommy... I wanna go home!" another screamed as he bolted, tears streaming down his face.

Muscles meant for show were now quaking.

Laughter had turned to screams.

Boasts had turned to begging.

And in the faces of those who moments ago wore smirks of disdain... now remained only horror.

Some tried to crawl away.

Some fled outright, pushing and shoving others.

Some even wet themselves in fear, too paralyzed to move.

Even the Guild staff behind the counters had hidden beneath their tables, peeking out with wide, terrified eyes.

Chaos.

Reon stood in the center of it all—unmoving, unbothered, unchallenged.

Liu Nin collapsed to the floor, his body trembling like a leaf in a storm.

Reon stepped toward him—slowly, deliberately. Each step echoed like a judge approaching the guilty.

He leaned down, eyes like blades of obsidian locking onto Liu Nin’s.

"Well, Senior Brother..." he said coldly, voice low and menacing. "What do you think now? Have I passed your so-called test? Do I look like someone who can’t handle a C-Rank quest?"

"Ugh... D-Don’t... Don’t come any closer!" Liu Nin whimpered, crawling backward in a panic, his movements frantic and desperate as his pride crumbled to dust.

"Y-You looked so weak just now! Th-This is just—just a bluff!"

"Weak?" Reon’s voice was calm, almost amused. "Do you still believe that?"

Without another word, Reon channeled a thin strand of Spiritual Qi into his middle finger—not enough to be lethal, just barely visible—and flicked it toward Liu Nin.

The Qi sliced through the air.

It missed Liu Nin by a hair—literally. A lock of his hair fluttered to the floor, and a thin red line appeared on his cheek.

He didn’t even notice.

Then—

BOOM!

The flick struck a chair behind him. Wood shattered. Dust and splinters exploded into the air.

"Ahh!"

Liu Nin froze, the delayed sting of the cut finally reaching him. His eyes widened in terror as he slowly turned around.

The chair was gone—completely obliterated, reduced to dust and fragments.

"Ahhhhh..." he gasped, horror overtaking his features. "Y-You were just... pretending to be weak all along..."

Reon’s eyes narrowed, and his voice turned razor-sharp.

"I never pretended to be weak. You fools just assumed it yourselves."

With a sudden motion, he grabbed Liu Nin by the hair, forcing him to look up.

"You people... judge someone by the rank on a card. But did you ever consider—just because someone’s new doesn’t mean they’re weak?"

Liu Nin’s pupils shook as he stared into those pitch-black eyes.

Reon’s words struck deeper than any weapon.

"Now do you understand why those Higher Species praised me?" he said softly. "Because unlike you... they weren’t ignorant."

Liu Nin’s will broke entirely. He collapsed forward, pressing his forehead to the floor near Reon’s feet.

"P-Please... forgive me, Sir... This lowly one... This slave has made a grave mistake..."

Reon didn’t even glance at him again.

As if an ant wasn’t worth the attention of a lion.

He turned away, and walked toward the exit.

’That should be enough,’ he muttered under his breath. ’From now on... they’ll show respect.’

And with that, he stepped out of the Adventurer Guild and into the street, leaving behind a shattered silence.

Back inside the guild, Yun Zin finally managed to stand, her legs still shaking.

She bit her lip and took out a Grade-2 Transmission Talisman from her spatial pouch.

With a trembling hand, she pressed its center.

The talisman flared to life with radiant golden light.

"Branch Manager," she said quickly, her voice laced with urgency.

"A powerful individual just joined our branch. His aura... it’s far beyond normal. I believe his background is extraordinary."

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

"Some of the adventurers offended him. Badly. Please come quickly. You must handle this situation... and personally apologize before it escalates further."

She threw the talisman into the air, and it soared upward, a glowing streak vanishing into the clouds above.

A storm had passed through the Adventurer Guild today.

But what remained... was only the legend it would leave behind.
