Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Now That’s Interesting!

Faeriel gave a small nod, her eyes steady.

"Yes. But more than that—we’re hunting those who truly deserve it. Evil humans. Slavers, traffickers... Those who kidnap and harm our kind."

"If we defeat such scum, the recognition we earn is unmatched. We came to Ninzhou County for that reason."

Reon’s gaze sharpened. For a moment, he was silent—then, sincerely, he bowed his head slightly.

"You’re not just proving your worth—you’re making this world a little better. That’s more than commendable. Fae, Aeris, Nym... If you ever need my help, know that I’ll come."

Faeriel smiled again, soft and genuine. "Thank you, Taiyang."

Aeris mirrored her, crimson eyes glowing. "We’ll remember that."

Nymeria, predictably, scoffed.

"Why are you calling me Nym, human? I don’t recall giving you permission.

"Hmph! Though I’ll admit—it’s good to know that even a dim-witted mortal can recognize our efforts."

Then she jabbed a finger toward him.

"But don’t get cocky, alright? You’re not even as strong as me. How exactly do you think you can help?"

"He is strong, Nym." Aeris said firmly, cutting through her doubt with a calm certainty.

Nymeria turned, visibly irked. "Hmph! I’ll believe it when I see it."

Reon raised an eyebrow, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. This chibi loli is seriously annoying.

Aeris took a step forward, brushing a strand of red hair behind her ear.

"Well then, Taiyang... we’ll take our leave for now. But if fate allows, and you ever step foot on our continent—seek me out. I’d like to cross swords with you in a real duel."

Reon gave her a confident smirk. "Looking forward to it."

Faeriel stepped closer, her gaze lingering on his for a moment longer than necessary.

"We didn’t get to share that drink... But if we meet again, I’ll treat you to dinner instead."

"I’ll hold you to that," Reon said with a soft chuckle.

"Hmph! We’re leaving, disgusting human," Nymeria muttered as she turned away.

Reon’s face twitched. "Yeah, yeah. Run along, you rude little dwarf."

They departed through the tavern doors, the noise fading behind them.

And just like that, the room felt a little quieter... but something told Reon this wouldn’t be the last time their paths would cross.

"After all, they haven’t found the fourth member of their party yet... and if I remember correctly, around this time—or perhaps a little later—they’re supposed to come across her, right after she’s suffered far too much," Reon mused, his eyes narrowing slightly.

A brief pause.

"But if possible... I want to save her from that tragic fate—before they find her too late," he thought, a determined gleam lighting up in his eyes.

Then—

[Ding!]

A familiar chime echoed through his mind.

[Faeriel’s favorability towards the Host has increased by 25.]

[Aeriseth’s favorability towards the Host has increased by 20.]

[Nymeria’s favorability towards the Host has increased by 10.]

Reon glanced at the system panel with a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"Now that’s interesting," he whispered.

Without another word, he turned away and walked toward the registration counters of the Adventurer Guild.

There were four counters in total. He picked the one furthest to the left and stepped forward, where a young girl with a neat braid and bright, observant eyes sat behind the desk.

"Greetings, Sir. My name is Yun Zin. How may I assist you today?" she asked with a polite bow.

"I’d like to register as an adventurer," Reon replied evenly.

She blinked, then smiled. "Do you already know the registration process and details of being an adventurer?"

"I’m familiar with them," Reon nodded.

"In that case, the registration fee is ten silver coins," she said.

Reon calmly took out the amount from his spatial ring and handed it to her. The coins clinked softly on the counter.

"Here. Ten silver coins."

Yun Zin accepted them, then took out a glowing blue card edged with delicate golden patterns.

"Please drop a small amount of blood onto this card to complete the binding process," she instructed, handing it over.

Reon channeled a thread of spiritual energy into his left hand and made a small cut on his right index finger.

A drop of blood fell onto the card.

The gold filigree lines lit up instantly, swirling around the center as a bold F appeared, burning itself into the surface.

"Congratulations, Sir!" Yun Zin clapped her hands gently.

"You are now officially an F-Rank Adventurer. Complete quests to raise your rank.

You may accept quests up to two or three ranks above your current level, but please remember—should you fall in battle, it will be your own responsibility."

She handed him the card, her tone turning a little more serious.

"The higher your rank, the more privileges and access you will be granted. Also, be careful not to lose your Adventurer Card. Re-issuance costs fifty silver coins."

"Got it. Thanks," Reon said, pocketing the card.

He turned toward the large Quest Board beside the counters.

There were two boards—one for F to D Rank, and another for C Rank and above.

Reon studied the quests.

Most F-Rank quests were basic tasks: herb gathering, delivering packages, cleaning homes, and even clearing out rats or sewers.

E-Rank quests involved dealing with ordinary beasts or low- to mid-tier Fierce Beasts.

D-Rank included high-ranked Fierce Beasts and the occasional weak Demonic Beast.

C-Rank quests, however... dealt with mid- to high-ranked Demonic Beasts, or even the lowest tier of Demonic Soldier Beasts.

Reon’s eyes narrowed. "Tch. No B-Rank quests, huh?"

He scanned both boards again. Nothing above C-Rank.

"Well... guess I’ll take C-Rank quests then."

There were only two posted. Without hesitation, Reon reached for both.

But the moment he pulled them from the board—

Laughter erupted behind him.

A girl’s voice rang out, laced with mockery. "Hahaha! Look at that newbie—taking two C-Rank quest on his first day. Is he insane?"

"He’s probably overestimating himself after getting noticed by that B-Rank party," another scoffed.

"Yeah, just wait. The moment he faces a real threat, he’ll turn tail and run," someone else jeered.

"Thinks he can take on a Demonic Soldier Beast? How laughable."

Reon didn’t flinch. He simply turned and began walking away.

But someone stepped into his path.
