After Murray and the two kids jumped into the sea,Mr.Marc was anxious and worriedsick the whole time.He didn’t recover at all until Melissa found the two children.

Lind knew that she couldn’t hide anything anymore,so she decided to tell the whole story."You want to hear the truth,right?Then listen!Yes,I ordered Claire Gibson to kidnap the two children.I just didn’t want to see my children without parents.So I handed them and also warned her to treat the two children as her own children."

Mr.Marc was so angry that he trembled with anger,unable to stand still."Tell me how many deeds you’ve done till now!"

Mr.Marc roared and this time even Mrs.Gibson was taken aback.He had never been so ruthless to Linda which now frightened her.

"At that time,Murray disappeared.He didn’t actually disappear.I asked someone to kidnap him up.I kept him in a small dark room.I drugged him so no one could find where he was."

"If he hadn’t escaped then,he wouldn’t have never gotten the chance to see the two children."

Linda Gibson had carefully plotted every move in her mind for a long time,but she didn’t expect that Claire Gibson would choose to jump into the sea at the last moment.

It was clear that everything mattered too much to her and she had a deep affection for Murray.

Mr.Marc seemed to be kept in the dark."Are you sure you did all these?"He asked,unable to believe what his ears just heard.

Linda nodded shamelessly without any remorse.

What a cunning daughter she was!How could she do such a vicious thing?

"Then where did you hide the two kids this time?"Mr.Marc asked,gritting his teeth to hold back his anger.

"I just sent the child to the orphanage.That’s where they belong!"

As soon as she finished said that,a heavy slap landed on her face."You bastard!Do you even realize what you are doing?Now!You are not allowed to leave the house without my permission in the future."

Mrs.Gibson was stunned the whole time to even speak.

As soon as they left,Linda rolled her eyes.For her,his means were nothing at all.

Mr.Marc walked away still baffled after the whole conversation.It turned out that the most cruel person in this family was still Linda.No wonder she could raise a child like Claire Gibson!

On the way back,Melissa received a call from Murray.

"I heard that the two children are missing.I know where they are."Murray’s voice rang in her ears as soon as she picked up.

Melissa rolled her eyes but still listened to the location of the place on the other end of the phone and drove there.

When she arrived at the gate of a welfare house,she saw Murray’s car parked at the gate.

She walked to him and without speaking,they both walked inside.

"Your family really went overboard this time.They didn’t even hesitate to abuse those innocent childs as their means to get what they want.It was really fortunate for me to escape them else I couldn’t imagine how badly me and my children would have been crushed by them."Melissa said as they walked inside.She never imagined that they would go to this extent some day.

Murray heard her but stayed quiet as the nanny of the welfare home led them inside.Both of entered a baby room and found that the two children were quietly sleeping on the cot.They seemed to have no idea what disaster had taken place in their life.Their innocent faces were still so cute in sleep.

Tears streamed down Melissa’s cheeks the moment she saw the two kids.She carried the children in her arms and embraced them as she murmured sorry to them all while.

"I’m sorry.It’s all my fault.Mama didn’t protect you well.I won’t ever let this happen again.I won’t let anyone to touch my precious babies again."She kissed their forehead and looked at them as if they were the biggest treasure of her life.

Murray,who was watching the scene from aside,was moved looking at them.

He clenched his fists,controlling himself from embracing them.

’I’m sorry,Melissa.I wish I could tell you everything but it’s still not the right time.Please wait for me!’he sighed,murmuring inwardly what he couldn’t say to her.

Melissa walked out with two children in her arms and Murray followed her.

"How about I drive you home?It’s not safe for you to drive with two children alone."Murray said with a genuine concern written all over his face.This was the rare tenderness of Murray.

Melissa nodded and got inside the car.

The way back to home was long and quite,no one spoke at all.

Once they were back,the nannies rushed happily towards them and took the children from her arms.

"We’re sorry angels.We failed to protect you.We won’t let this happen again."They embraced the two kids and carried them back to their room.

Murray stood at the door,watching the scene with a rare tenderness in his eyes.

Melissa walked up to him and thanked him,"thank you for what happened today,but we don’t have to see each other in future.After all,you have a fiancee,and I,as your ex-wife,shouldn’t dance around you."

It was said that a qualified ex shouldn’t be near ex husband,wasn’t it?Even after the divorce,they still had the two children as a stumbling block.However they could not go back to where they were,so it was better to see each other less often or not at all.

Murray wanted to say something,but swallowed it all when she cut him off short.

"I know,you don’t have to say anything."

Murray stood there silently for a while and with each seconds passing by the silence between them became even more awkward.

It was strange that the people who had to say so much everytime they met before had no words left at all.

Finally,Murray decided to leave.

Seeing Murray drive away from her sight,Melissa’s eyes were filled with tears and her heart squeezed painfully.They used to be close to each other,but now they weren’t even like strangers.There was a lingering emptiness in her heart which perhaps,only she could understand.

As Murray drove out of Melissa’s home,he stepped on the pedal,driving in full speed.He drove inside the gate of old mansion at furious speed which even startled the servants working outside.

"Mr.Gibson...?"The housekeeper stood in front of him,trying to stop him when he saw fuming his anger.

Murray pushed her away and rushed inside.He stood in front of Mr.Marc and questioned furiously,"I have given you everything you wanted me to!Why are you still targeting them?!"

Mr.Marc calmly heard his outbrust and tried to calm him down,"Calm down,Murray.I know what you are thinking and how difficult it is for you to make this decision."

"At that time,I jumped down without hesitation for those two children and risked my life to protect them.To let you know,I have already done the paternity test and yes!They are my kids.As for the two children of Linda Gibson,they might be lying in the welfare house now!"

It turned out that Murray knew everything.

Mr.Marc was silent for a long time before he finally spoke,"They didn’t let you get close to them at that time for your sake."

Murray burst into laughter,hearing what he said,"Haven’t you considered what you have said?When Linda Gibson made the company a mess,you invited me to deal with it together,and even asked me to humiliate Melissa in public else you would use your own cruel ways to suppress Melissa.I have endured all these.Are you still going to put Melissa and those innocent children at stake to get what you want?"

Murray had choosed to be patient to protect Melissa.He knew that the ways of Mr.Marc were so mean,and he also knew how cruel it was for them when the whole family was united.
