The more Melissa thought about it,the more her heart squeezed tightly in her chest.She wanted to demand him for answers.

So she called Murray.

"Why did you use this method?"Melissa leaned back in the car with hands on the steering wheel.The scene of them getting divorced flashed in her mind,as if it had happened just yesterday.

On the other end of the phone,Murray didn’t say anything.He just smiled playfully and said,"Come to the company.I’ll give you all the answers."

Hearing this,Melissa hung up the phone and drove straight to his company.

Since the return of the Murray,Linda Gibson hadn’t been involved in the business of the company too much.However,recently,t the company hasq been facing internal strife as well as external strife.No matter how hard he tried to solve it,he still couldn’t return to the previous prosperity.

She still remembered that the last time she came to the company,she had to purchase it.At that time,there was no news of Murray.But this time,it was different.Murray was back!

Melissa walked in with steady steps,the click of her heels ringing in the ears of each employees.The staff at the front desk was a bit surprised to see her but she led her directly to Murray’s office.

Melissa knocked on the door and hear a cold voice from inside.

When she pushed the door,she was utterly dejected to see Linda Gibson with Murray in the office.

Linda Gibson wasn’t surprised to see her at all.,But as expected,she couldn’t hold back her bitterness towards Melissa.

"Isn’t this the famous Melissa?I’m surprised you still have time to hang around in our company!Is it because our company is popular?"

Melissa turned deaf ear to Linda and didn’t respond her usual nonsense.She went straight to Murray,put her handbag on his table,glanced at him with fierce eyes,and said,"don’t you want to give me a reasonable explanation?"

Murray waved at Linda Gibson and said,"you can leave now."

Linda’s eyes flickered between the two of them as she reminded Murray,"don’t forget your promise to me."

After leaving those words,she left the room.Now,only the two of them were left alone in the room.

Melissa looked at the man who was familiar with her every sense,but now it was as if she was staring at a stranger whom she didn’t know at all.The feeling made her chest tight with indescribable emotions.

Murray made a gesture of welcome and Melissa sat on the sofa.

"There shouldn’t be so many details between us."

Melissa breathed a long sigh of relief.She had many questions running wild in her mind and she wanted to ask him,but every time she opened her mouth,the scene of acquiring their company would flash in her mind and the words stuck in her throat.

The scene keeps on reminding her that they were already divorced and there was no looking back to the past.

"Don’t you want to ask anything?"Murray raised his brows,staring her beautiful face in silence.

"Will you tell me the truth?"Melissa stared back at him,trying to find an answer.

"I will answer t you everything you ask."

Melissa smiled ironically and nodded."The first question is why didn’t you send the child to me earlier?"

When she knew that her two children were still alive,she had asked Murray countless times.Maybe without him,the two children couldn’t have been alive she was thankful to him for that.

Murray just chuckled and answered simply,"they are also my children."

"The second question is,since you decided to return have come back,why did you still stop me since you know the real purpose of your company as I said?"Melissa just wanted to keep the only property of Murray,not his company.

However,for Murray,all this had become a new home.He didn’t want to push it away and feel empty again.

"You will know the answer in the future."Murray said lazily.

Melissa curled up on the sofa with her hands outstretched."Why are you doing this to me?"

Hearing this,Murray suddenly burst into a chuckle."I never thought that we would become like this.It’s just that in this process,we have all fulfilled our promises that we should fulfill."

Melissa listened to him quietly,"it’s true that we don’t get along well with each other."

Melissa stood up and said as if she didn’t care about him at all.She felt relaxed but painful all over her body.

Without waiting for Murray’s response,a she strode out of the office and directly walked inside her car.All of a sudden tears burned her eyes and rolled down her cheeks,overwhelmed by the strange conversation.She wondered since when she became so emotional.

Melissa,who had been able to turn the tide without scruple,was crushed by the cruelty of the reality.

Just as she wiped her tears,her phone rang.Melissa glanced at the screen and found it was nanny calling so she answered it immediately.

"Mrs.Gibson,please come back quickly.There are group of people whom we don’t even know and they’re taking away the children from us forcefully.We can’t hold for any longer."The nanny cried anxiously on the other side of the call.

Hearing this,Melissa was anxious and her heart began beating wildly.Before she could answer,she heard the other nannies on the phone arguing with a man’s voice on the other end.

The situation was already out of hand.

Without even delaying a second,Melissa stepped on the accelerator and drove the car back.

As soon as she stepped inside the house,she heard a burst of whining.

When she entered the room,she found that several nannies were sitting on the ground and crying bitterly.The house was in chaos as if it had been robbed.

"What happened?"Melissa asked anxiously.

"A group of people came and they took away the children with them,not to mention who they were,we couldn’t even see their faces.We couldn’t stop them at all.They entered abruptly and then ran out with the children.We were no match for them,we didn’t have any other option than to call you."

Looking at the scene,one could imagine how intense it was just now.

Melissa called the police directly,while Mrs Gibson stood up and put a note in her hand."The man who stole the child left it for you."
