Everyone's Class: One Effort, 10,000x Bonus Reward!-Chapter 273: The Enslaver of the Dragon Clan Has Arrived
Seeing this scene, Irene’s pupils dilated to their absolute limit. Her face was a mask of pure shock and disbelief as she stared, dumbfounded:
"Am I seeing things? Is Mythic Rank material being used as food?"
"No... this... this is actually a Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon!"
"The Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon, long thought extinct from the Abyss Dragon Clan... how could it be here? And even worse, how is it your pet?"
When Aiden first pulled out Mythic Rank material to feed Faye, Irene had been shocked, but that was expected.
However, the moment her gaze landed on Faye, her body suddenly trembled. It was as if she had witnessed something utterly impossible.
Aiden immediately sensed the shift. Other powerful beings had reacted similarly to Faye in the past.
But they were usually just stunned because Faye was a Mythic Rank Pure-blood Dragon Clan member.
Irene, however, recognized it as a Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon—a species she claimed had long since vanished from the Abyss.
"There must be a secret on Faye that Irene knows more about," Aiden thought, carefully keeping his expression neutral.
This was the critical moment for negotiation. If he showed too much emotion, Irene might see through his bluff and seize the initiative.
So, facing her shock, Aiden simply replied coolly:
"Are you looking in the wrong place? What you should be thinking about right now is how to offer a payment that truly moves me. If you have nothing, then I should leave."
Hearing this, Irene took a deep, shaky breath. Her eyes suddenly lit up with hope as she spoke fast:
"I know a lot about the Abyss Dragon Clan, and I have details about the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon. If you help me, I’ll tell you everything!"
Aiden’s eyes flicked slightly upward, betraying nothing. He was acting calm, but Irene still believed her information was a valid bargaining chip.
"Whatever you know, I might already know. It might not be very valuable at all," Aiden tested her.
"Trust me," Irene said confidently. "Even the Demon God of the Demon Clan doesn’t know about the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon. If it weren’t for my father, who once..."
She trailed off, and a wave of unbearable sadness suddenly washed over her face.
She took a deep breath, quickly regaining her composure. She insisted that while her information might be worthless to others, it was absolutely critical for Aiden, the owner of a Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon.
Aiden looked helplessly at Faye, then slowly reached out to stroke her head.
"Never mind," he thought. "Knowing more about Faye is enough. Compared to her, the rest doesn’t matter much."
Faye was more than just a pet to him.
Since being hatched, her only goal had been to help him, a dedication few could match.
First, Aiden asked Irene if she could join him inside the teleportation array after he used his Mythic Rank teleportation item.
Since Bella from the Radiant Blade could do it, he assumed this Great Venerable would have no problem either.
Irene nodded without hesitation.
"Then it’s a deal. I’ll help you leave The Black City safely, and you’ll tell me everything you know about Faye," Aiden said.
He glanced at Brock. Brock immediately stepped in. "Don’t worry. With me here, you two don’t need to fear anyone breaking their word."
"Irene, tell Aiden what you know right now."
Irene hesitated for a moment. But after seeing the seriousness and firmness in Brock’s eyes, she chose to trust him.
She explained that the Abyss Dragon Clan was originally a King Rank race, similar to the Swarm. From the very moment dragons appeared, the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon was their strongest existence.
Her father had told her that when all the Abyss Myriad Races last fully awakened, the proud Dragon Clan was enslaved by an even more powerful force.
All the great dragons were turned into mounts, and some even became food.
Due to the power of the Enslave Dragon Clan, which was terrifyingly strong, the dragons lost their freedom and dignity. However, the very pressure of this enslavement caused their race to evolve from King Rank up to Emperor Rank.
In other words, the strongest among the dragons, the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon, broke through from God-King Rank to God-Emperor Rank.
Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon who became a God-Emperor couldn’t bear to watch his kin live without dignity or suffer such pain. So, he made the hard choice to rebel.
At this point, Irene suddenly stopped.
Aiden couldn’t hold back and asked, "What happened next?"
"After that, the God-Emperor Rank Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon was struck down in a single blow. The Dragon Clan faced a purge like never before. Only those who completely submitted and slaughtered their own kin managed to survive."
"During that purge, the wife and children of that Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon were all massacred."
"From that day on, the Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon vanished from The Abyss. It was as if the race was wiped out."
Irene kept glancing at Faye.
At that moment, Faye’s big golden eyes began to fill with tears. She slowly turned to Aiden and said softly, "Master, I feel so sad."
"It hurts so much... why does it hurt?"
"I don’t want to eat anymore. Faye has no appetite. I can’t finish this."
Tears streamed down Faye’s cheeks. She flapped her wings frantically, reached out with her claws, and gently grabbed one of Aiden’s fingers, shaking it slightly.
"Master, Faye wants to go back to the pet space."
Aiden’s eyes softened with pain. He regretted not putting Faye into the pet space earlier.
"Sorry, that was my mistake," Aiden said quietly, gently patting Faye’s head.
To him, what happened to the other Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragons didn’t matter at all; he only cared about Faye.
But for Faye, those were her kin—possibly even her family and parents.
Once Faye was safely inside the pet space, Aiden let out a long, deep breath and turned to Irene.
"So, a God-Emperor Rank Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon was killed in a single blow," Aiden asked, his voice low. "Just how strong is the one that enslaved them?"
Irene shook her head. "I don’t know. My father spoke about this very carefully, as if he was terrified that speaking too loudly would alert them."
"To this day, I still don’t know which race enslaved the dragons."
"But there’s one thing my father said that I can never forget."
Aiden’s curiosity piqued immediately. "What was it?"
Irene’s eyes widened with fear. "She said, ’How could a race exist that possesses divine-tier power the very moment it is born?’"
Hearing this, Aiden’s pupils contracted sharply.
A race born with divine-tier power?
Could it be a divine race?
Did The Abyss Myriad Races Rank really hide such a terrifying existence?
Even though humanity had defeated the Demon Clan and conquered other races, they would still eventually face the very enemy that had once enslaved the dragons.
Can humanity really defeat a being like that? Aiden thought, a chill running down his spine.
Suddenly, another, even more pressing question came to mind.
"Also, what exactly is the Myriad Races Rank awakening?" Aiden asked, his expression now grave.
He had always wondered about this. The Demon Clan was no small threat, let alone other powerful King Rank races, or even Emperor Rank races like the dragons.
What could possibly force such races to awaken?
"I don’t know for sure," Irene replied. "Only the ancient elders from the past would know the truth. Also, within the Abyss Legendary, there is a mysterious figure who holds the history of The Abyss, along with all the truths and secrets."
"However," she added softly, "that should just be a Legendary."
Aiden sighed. The world was feeling more dangerous than ever.
"I’m only level 50. Thinking too far ahead isn’t a good thing," he muttered.
"To be honest, I feel a bit lost right now."
He shook his head hard, forcing the dark thoughts out of his mind.
What he needed to do was simple: get stronger, fast. As long as he kept getting stronger, he would uncover the truth and be able to do anything he wanted.
Taking a deep breath, his eyes burned with determination.
"Your pet is a Heaven-Devouring Mystic Dragon," Irene said suddenly, unable to stay silent. "When that mysterious, powerful race awakens, you might get dragged into trouble because of it."
Aiden didn’t hesitate. "That’s a long way off."
"Besides, maybe by the time they awaken, I’ll be strong enough to handle it myself."
Irene rolled her eyes. She thought he was just comforting himself.
She had said her piece. Now it was Aiden’s turn to help her leave The Black City safely.
"Wait a moment. I still need to meet Catherine, the Mayor of The Black City," Aiden said calmly.
Instantly, Irene and Brock’s eyes went wide. They stared at him, confused, and asked in unison,
"What do you want to do?"
Aiden smiled. "Naturally, I’m going to negotiate a deal with her."
"The Black City is surrounded by giant Skeletons, and I’m the one who can solve this crisis. As the Mayor, shouldn’t she show her gratitude, just like you did?"
"Huh? Is that allowed?" Brock’s jaw dropped. He couldn’t believe it.
Humans really are all the same, he thought. They might be a bit greedy, but I have to admit, they’re very smart.
Just then, Irene suddenly looked up at the sky above The Black City.
"The Catherine you’re going to see has already arrived."
