Unscented-Chapter 1089 - 1031 remove the fog
Murray’s car was in police’s detaintion and Melissa had drove him back home.So,today,she had to deal with the rest of the things in the police station.
When she arrived at the police station the first thing that caught her attention was Murray’s car.She walked to the car,and peeked through the reflection glass.There was something wrong!
She leaned against the glass and scanned inside the car.The more she stared inside,the more she felt something was wrong.
"No!Something is definitely wrong!"She mumbled,when she saw the bloodstains inside the car.Why were there so many bloodstains?If they were just drunk driving,there shouldn’t be bloodstains at all.She didn’t see any wounds on Murray to think that the blood was his.
"Did Murray kill someone?"A thought crossed her mind.After all,there was stain of lipstick on his clothes.Was there any connection between the two?
The more Melissa thought about it,the more scared she became.Worried about everything going on,she quickly took out her phone and took pictures of everything in the car.
She guessed that the law enforcers were aware of n the situation.After all,they were the ones who drove the car back and it was impossible not to notice the bloodstains inside the car.So,she decided to ask the offer first.

After taking the photos,she went straight to the office of the head officer..
When he saw the officer,Melissa explained what she had just seen and asked if they were aware of the situation.
"We have noticed what you said,but we don’t have any other evidence to prove how it happened."The officer replied and he took a deep breath before he continued,
"Miss Melissa,could you please tell us about the situation of Murray after they went back.Was there anything strange that you noticed?It should also be taken into consideration."
Melissa shook her head in confusion.
She felt even more strange.
If she knew there was something more connected with the blood in the car,perhaps she wouldn’t have gone to the officer in first place.
She believed that the officers were impartial and judge the whole scene from every direction.After all,these things couldn’t be concealed for long from their eyes.
Moreover,she was the one who brought Murray home yesterday,so she had already gotten herself into this mess and she was obliged to cooperate with them.
"We found something strange.We stopped Murray because of drunk driving,so we needed to directly take the test."
"We have detected faint alcohol on the test kit,but not much.Since,Murray admitted that he was drunk driving,we could only draw blood for testing."
The officer said as,he put a report on the table,in front of Melissa.
When Melissa saw the test result of alcohol content on the report was zero,she was momentarily stunned.
This meant...means Murray wasn’t drunk??
That was impossible!She felt that something was wrong with the test data.
"Is there anything wrong with this data?Do you need Murray to cooperate with you to carry out a blood test again?Can we have time to test again today?"
Melissa knew that if a person was drunk after a night’s drinking,his body would still have some amount of alcohol.
Even if the person didn’t drink so much alcohol,it was very likely that if he was tested again,the alcohol content would not be so high,but there would still be some reference value.
For now she could only ask the officer if that was necessary.
The officer looked at Melissa quietly and finally he said,slowly and clearly.
"It’s unnecessary.We still have the data,including the blood sample.After the test,the hospital called us directly."
Even the people who tested the sample felt strange so they tested for the second time as well to see if there was something wrong.
After all,someone admitted that he was drunk driving,and when the blood sample was tested,the alcohol value was zero.So they definitely needed to test again.
Surprisingly,the result of the second test was still the same.So,they had to consult the officer to deal with the case.
When the officers arrived there,they demanded for the third test in front them,but the result was still the same. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Even after three test,there was still a little blood sample left in the hospital in case if it was needed again.
"Now we can be sure that Murray didn’t drive drunk which leads us to the conclusion that there’s something suspicious going on and she used drunk driving as the reason to cover it."
"If there’s something going on then,it’s not strange that he used such a trick.But he should know that law is law and she cannot escape for long."
The officer was a bit frustrated and dead serious.Yesterday,he received a lot of calls from his influential friends and also higher ups to wrap up the case as soon as possible,so that made him even more suspicious.
Now holding the test report,he felt embarrassed for not being able to go further with the investigation.
But he couldn’t tell Melissa about it.It was a disgrace for them.
"You can also think about why Murray pretended to drunk drive.If you can think it over,you may find the answer."
"Now the only thing left is to deal with your part first.If there is any problem,we will naturally look for Murray."
The officer didn’t want Melissa to get involved.He had figured it out now that there might be a conflict between Murray and Melissa.That was why he had such a self injury plan.
The best way to keep Melissa out was to let her finish the rest of the procedures.
As for the bloodstains in the car,they would know the answer when the Murray is taken in for general inquiry.
Even if Murray refuses to tell them,they could still Investigate what was going on through the sample and photos they had kept.
"I’ve signed it.Is there anything else that needs my cooperation?And...about the bloodstains in the car...Can you call me when the result comes out?"
Melissa pursued her lips and asked unwillingly.She refused to sign on the file records until the law enforcer nodded.
After signing,Melissa quietly left the office.
She was confused and didn’t know how to deal with these things.
But she had already understood why Murray used the self injury trick.
