When they sat down in the living room,Shayna asked Melissa what she was able to achieve that day.
Melissa sighed and replied,
"There was not enough time today,I’ll check some other places tomorrow."
"I enquired about the prices,if we don’t pay up on time,they might rent it out to other clients."Melissa added,glad that she did not only work hard,but also worked efficiently.
If they worked slowly,it would be impossible for them to host a concert,even if they took it to a fancy place.
On the second day,Melissa went to see the venue again,while Shayna went to the recording studio to practice alone.
When Melissa and her assistant arrived at the venue,a frown formed on Melissa’s face and she asked,
"Is this one of the largest event center with complete facilities,that you bragged to me about?"
"We’re hosting a concert.We need to give these fans a chance to enjoy themselves,it’s not a normal meeting,these seats can’t work."Melissa vented,pointing at the areas in front of her,which she was most dissatisfied with.
The stage was filled with equipment.Even if those things were covered,it would definitely take a lot of time,and then the stage would be affected.And it was unrealistic to suggest moving the things,because most of the things were fixed.
And if it were to be removed,it would definitely be a new construction.Moreover the owner of the venue might not give consent for such.
Melissa looked back at the other parts of the hall,she felt really unsatiated.Many windows of the hall had been broken.
It would have been perfect for an event like a wedding or an ordinary performance,but for a concert with which fans would troop to and fro,it was totally unfit.
Even an ordinary singer would neglect the place for a better place,let alone an entertainer from an entertainment company like Melissa.
Although Shayna was still an upcoming artist in China.If her performance during the concert was good,her reputation would spread out,and it’ll have such a great impact on her career.
Melissa was displeased with the next place her assistant took her.While at this,Melissa was devoid of the knowledge of the happenings in her villa.
"Who are you?Ma’am Melissa isn’t home.What do you want?"The nanny asked the young woman who stood in front of her.
"Melissa hired someone like you?Are you blind to see that I’m here to take my children?"Claire replied with a scoff.
"I don’t know who you are.You can’t just come take the kids without ma’am Melissa instructions."She answered quickly,afraid the lady before her was a swindler.
"Have you ever seen a person dressed this way to kidnap a child?Don’t you see that car parked outside the gate?How can a person who drives such,be a child kidnapper?"Claire questioned the confused nanny.
"It’s obvious you’re new here.I don’t want to banter words with you.I’ll send in the children tomorrow."
Claire moved into the house with two people behind her,she sighted the babies in a cradle,she picked up the child without hesitation.The nanny tried getting the child from her,but was hit on the head by one of the people who accompanied Claire.The nanny didn’t dare utter another word nor move a muscle.
She found it difficult to believe that someone who drove such a luxurious car like Claire would come to kidnap a child.
"I will give you some cash when I send back the child tomorrow.if the child isn’t taken care of,I’ll have you to blame."
The nanny felt convicted that Claire was not to be trusted,she took out her phone from her pocket and dialed Melissa’s number.Claire paid zero attention to her.She got into the car and drove away with the children in her arms.
"Hello,ma’am Melissa,a woman claiming to the babies’s mother came to take them away.She said she’ll send them in tomorrow.When I tried stopping he nor,I was beaten severally."The nanny narrated her ordeal to Melissa.Melissa urged her to describe the lady,after the nanny was done with the description,Melissa was certain that it was indeed Claire who took the child away.
Although Melissa had an unexplainable abhorrence for Claire,the children were really innocent.Melissa really had a mixed feeling,she didn’t know how to deal with them.
"She’s indeed the mother of the children.You can have a rest.If you’re injured,you can go see the doctor,I’ll pay for it."Melissa ended the call after saying that,her mood had abruptly change into sadness.
All she could do was to concentrate on chosing a befitting venue for the concert.
When they arrived at the next place,Melissa was infuriated and numb.The place was the exact opposite to what her assistant had promised.
All the equipment looked old and worn out.The event was bound to be affected by the lightings.Although things could be recreated here,the most important thing for a singer,was the beauty of the atmosphere.It only did not need to be elegant and high,but it also showed the singer’s concept.
The equipments in front of them were further from what they needed.
"Let’s go.Next time,when you look out for a place,you should check out every detail,we can’t make such a low rank stop again.It’ll just waste our resources and time."Melissa muttered before storming out of the hall.The assistant knew she had made a terrible mistake,she trailed her obediently,hoping that her previous hard work would make Melissa overlook this one flaw.
