Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent-Chapter 646: Bellator Openly Reveals Himself
"I want you to capture one person." Ferdinand Parahan said and made a hand gesture to Demetrio.
Understanding his intentions, Demetrio unrolled a piece of parchment bearing the image of a young man.
Only the upper body was drawn.
It was a young nobleman with long silvery-white hair. He had an indifferent and imposing look in his eyes.
While pointing at the image, Ferdinand continued. "This is Alaric Silversword. He is a prince and is widely recognized as the third heir of the Astanian throne."
"I believe some of you have already heard things about this man."
The members of the Beast Fang Corps furrowed their eyebrows.
Alaric Silversword was famous in the surrounding nations. He was known as the greatest sword prodigy of all time, and he was also the youngest to have ever entered the realm of Venerables.
"Your Highness, capturing him would lead to a war between two nations." Someone from the Beast Fang Corps spoke up, his voice revealing a hint of concern.
Ferdinand stared deeply at him, his eyes cold.
It was the Commander of the Beast Fang Corps, Rucan Mirader.
Rucan looked like a middle-aged man in his late forties, but his real age was already beyond a hundred. He was one of the oldest serving warriors of Parahan, an important pillar of the nation.
"Commander Rucan, that bastard stole my woman! How could I let him go freely?" Ferdinand’s eyes were shaking with fury, his intense aura fluctuating vigorously.
Hearing this response, Rucan was inwardly disappointed, but he didn’t show it on his face.
"I understand your fury, Your Highness, but we should be more prudent with our actions here. If we target Alaric, we might have to face the combined forces of Veronica and Astania." He suggested cautiously.
Ferdinand Parahan frowned. "Are you going against my orders, Commander Rucan?"
"You may be a pillar of this nation, but you are still a servant to the Parahan Imperial Family! I am sure you understand the consequences of defying me!" Anger was palpable in his voice.
Rucan stared deeply at him, his thoughts unreadable.
Looking at the commander’s gaze, Ferdinand felt a bit uneasy.
This man wasn’t an ordinary Venerable.
Rucan was a peak Mythical Knight close to advancing to the next realm. The only thing stopping him was his aged body. Even so, he was the second strongest Venerable in Parahan.
After an entire minute of silence, Rucan let out a sigh and responded with a salute. "I obey Your Highness’s commands."
Ferdinand was relieved. He was still fearful of the commander despite his status as the crown prince.
"Good. I want this-"
Suddenly, a powerful aura pressed upon him, making him subconsciously take a step back.
"Who dares attack His Highness?! Reveal yourself, intruder!" Rucan rushed to Ferdinand’s side, eyeing the sky with a gloomy look.
Demetrio also stood next to the crown prince, his hand resting on his sword.
The members of the Beast Fang Corps quickly circled the crown prince in a defensive formation, their eyes cold.
Everyone followed the commander’s gaze, looking intently at the sky. They all wondered who the fearless intruder was.
To their surprise, they saw a man in battle armor hovering above the clouds like an immortal. He was staring calmly at them with no ripples in his eyes.
Void walking?!
There was only a small number of 4-Ringed Beast Soul Grandmasters who had integrated the Flight trait. As for Mythical Knights, they could only glide into the air briefly using their immensely powerful mana.
Rucan’s eyes trembled as he looked at the mysterious man in the sky.
He signaled to his men not to do anything rash and spoke up. "Who might you be, my lord?"
"That man behind you must be the idiot, Ferdinand Parahan." The man in the sky said, not bothering to conceal the disdain in his voice.
Hearing this, Ferdinand was furious. He was about to speak up when Rucan gently pressed on his shoulder.
"My lord, this is the crown prince of Parahan. Please give him the respect fitting of his status." Rucan couldn’t gauge the other party’s power.
Either he had an artifact that could hide his aura or he was more powerful than him.
Bellator sneered at his words. "You want me to show respect to a foolish man who would risk the nation’s safety for his self-interest?"
Ferdinand couldn’t control his anger anymore. He pointed at Bellator and shouted. "How dare you?!"
Bellator snorted and released a portion of his immense aura.
What is this power?!
For the first time in his life, Rucan felt the threat of death. He was certain of it. This man was capable of killing them all!
Everyone including the crown prince fell to their knees. The only people left standing were Rucan, Demetrio, and the Vice Commander of the Beast Fang Corps who was also a Mythical Knight.
Together, they fought against the heavy pressure to give the crown prince a room to breathe.
"Are you alright, Your Highness?" Demetrio helped Ferdinand get up.
Ferdinand was also a Mythical Knight, but he failed to defend against the pressure exuded by Bellator.
Who is this guy?!
"My lord, please calm your anger! If you do anything to His Highness, you won’t escape punishment!" Rucan looked up defiantly, gritting his teeth.
"You may be powerful, but you are in the heart of Hothsk! The most powerful Venerables of our nation are gathered here!" He added.
Bellator remained calm in the face of his threat. "Your loyalty is commendable."
"It’s a pity that someone like you would have to serve an idiot." He shook his head with a regretful sigh.
Bellator could sense that more people were coming, but he couldn’t care less. The power of someone in the Beyonder realm was so strong that they wouldn’t need to fear a fight against a group of Unfettered.
(Note: Unfettered = Mythical Knight)
"Kill him! Kill him for me-" Ferdinand’s shouts came to an abrupt halt when a crisp slap landed on his face.
Pah!
