The barrister stared at the handsome man and beautiful woman,before him.
Melissa stared blankly at the barrister making his attempt to dissuade her end in a quick failure.
"My mind’s made up"Murray muttered nodding.Melissa got even angrier when she heard this.
"Yes,I’ve made up my mind.Let’s get through with the formalities as quickly as possible."The barrister nodded at Melissa’s word.He printed out the relevant procedures and stamped on them.Then he handed over the divorce certificates to both of them respectively.
Murray received the certificate without uttering a word,this act of his made Melissa fall completely into despair.
She concluded Murray to be cold and ruthless.Melissa ignored him and exited the registry.
When she got home she begun packing her belongings.She didn’t care about what went through Murray’s mind,or what he would do after.She quickly tidied up and took the children to another villa.
Shayna swiftly took the babies from Melissa’s hands.She hadn’t seen the twins since she came back from abroad.
"They’re so adorable.I really hope I get blessed with a pair of these treasures some time in the future."Seeing the beautiful twins,Shayna couldn’t help but hold one of them tightly.
"Come and help take the suitcase in first."Melissa said to Shayna,who was admiring the twins.
Melissa shook her head sadly.She didn’t care about the divorce one bit.She only wanted to take good care of her kids,and live peacefully in the city for the time being.She planned on using work to dispel the restlessness in her heart.
"Oh,why did you bring so many things back?"It was then Shayna noticed that there were several boxes outside the door.
Shayna took the babies into the house,and placed them on the bed.
Shayna and Melissa took all the boxes into their rooms.Afrer arranging them in their rightful position,Melissa said to Shayna,
"I’ll be staying here for the time being.The most important thing is that,I’m gonna take up the planning of your concert while I’m here."
"If you fail to plan the concert perfectly,it’ll affect both your development and that of the company."Melissa stated,pondering if she should assist Shayna in participating in several variety shows.
"What’s your thoughts on variety shows?The are very popular these days.It’s a way for an entertainer to become exposed quickly."Melissa suggested,staring at her for a response.
"Yea,it’s a nice idea,but I still want to hold my concert first.As long as the concert can cause a sensation,it means I’ll go viral"Shayna replied.Melissa nodded in affirmation.
Some variety shows ranked these entertainers as third,sixth and even ninth class.Even though the degree of participation were connected to the status of the entertainer.The lower the status,the lower the gate fee would be.
She was certain the camera would streak across her face,and that was enough to give her the fame she desired.
"I’ll prepare for the promotion of the concert.As for the venue and other aspects,I’ll hand them over to the company."Melissa added while going through her phone,she placed a call.
On the other end of the phone was a domestic company.Melissa requested two more nannies to be sent to her.They were to look after her children.
"I’ll be staying for a while.It’s unnecessary to hire a nanny,I can help take care of the kids."Shayna offered,she still wasn’t aware that Melissa and Murray had divorced.
"No,thanks.You should just focus your energy on the concert.The success or failure of it,depends solely on the preparations."Shayna nodded to Melissa’s words.
Some days later,Melissa was completely occupied with the concert’s preparation.From the advertising,to sending out invitations for the dancers and other companies.
"I think you have overworked yourself these days.You’re the boss,you can leave everything to your subordinates to handle.You have to take care of yourself."Shayna said to Melissa feeling pity for her.
Shayna had been practicing the song she would be perform,over and over again.Every day for each note and melody.She dedicated her time to rehearsing,in order to deliver a beautiful performance.The moment she saw Melissa,she realized that it wasn’t only she who was working hard,but everyone were devoting their time as well for her.
"We have to put in all our energy and time,that’s the only way we’ll see results."Melissa muttered yawning.She had barely slept up to six hours lately.She deliberately wanted to numb herself,so she wouldn’t think too much.
"You really don’t look too good.In addition to sleeping,you also need to take care of yourself.You’re the boss of our company,and the image as well.You’ve done enough for me already."Shayna said soothingly,she believed Melissa was doing this for her.She wasn’t still aware of the aches in Melissa’s heart.
Although the company stood alot to gain and loose from the concert,not every boss would make such decision of running it themselves.
After all,bosses had lots of event planners at their beck and call.And there were also other departments that could handle the entire situation.It was strange to see Melissa take this up.
"I’ll be fine in a few days.I really don’t have time to take care of myself yet.Do well to invite me to a spa after the concert is over"Melissa said with a smile,but tiredness could be noticed from her expression.
"How about i massage you myself,but you’ll have to pay me some cool cash"Shayna replied with a smile on her face,Melissa chuckled at her words and went to check up on the twins.She found them sleeping and didn’t want to disturb them.
