Unscented-Chapter 1035 - 977 He Doesn’t Love You.

Melissa sat quietly,waiting to hear what she would say.

"They two children are indeed mine.I gave birth abroad,they were diagnosed with a congenital heart disease,the situation was a little critical.I couldn’t take care of them myself,so i sent them back home.I felt a bit relaxed when i heard that my brother’s children had just been born with minor problems,I thought of giving my kids to my brother to raise..."She paused as she swallowed hard.

"I knew as well that my brother won’t help me raise my kids for me,so I took them to the orphanage,I didn’t expect that my brother would adopt them."Claire explained,but Melissa scoffed,not buying her words.

"You haven’t told us who the father of your kids are"Melissa pointed out the key point.

Mrs Gibson also asked,

"Are those kids really yours?With whom?"

Claire squatted holding her hand,she was unable to mutter a word.After a long time,she finally calmed down and said slowly,

"They were conceived in a bar..."

Before she could complete her sentence,she was interrupted by Melissa who said,

"Claire!,Why didn’t you tell your family what happened?Why did you travel abroad alone as well?"

Mr Marc sat bewildered unable to move a muscle.

"Grandpa,I really did want to tell you about it,but when I realized that you would blame me,I figured out there was no need.I was later sent abroad by Murray."

It was then that Melissa realized the reason why Murray had proposed to send Claire abroad,and why Claire had agreed so decisively.

"What do you plan on doing with the kids now?Will you pick them up?"If they kids were really orphans or a stranger’s children,Melissa would have been more than willing to shelter them,but since it was Claire’s,the reverse was the case.

"They stay with us!"A voice came from outside,they slowly trailed the direction of the voice to Murray who was walking in slowly.

"Why do you have to make decisions for her?"Melissa countered.

"She’s an unmarried woman.How do you expect her to singlehandedly raise two kids?"Murray spoke defendantly for Claire.

Claire seem to have realized her shortcomings,she knelt in front of Melissa and begged,

"I’m so sorry,sister-in-law.I was so thoughtless before,and I was blinded by my personal interest,hence I did things which hurt you.Please don’t drive my kids away,they’re really innocent."

"How about you keep the kids Melissa,after all,they’re still very young.Besides,outsiders think that they were birthed by you"Mr Marc pleaded on behalf of Claire,But Mrs Gibson remained silent.

Melissa chuckled.She knew exactly what would happen if she kept those kids.The children would be used as a medium for Claire to access her house at will.

"What are you talking about?,Are you really persuading me to keep your kids?Claire,when you were deliberately hurting me,didn’t you realize that your kids were at my mercy!"Melissa yelled at them.

"This decision is made by me,Melissa,it has nothing to do with others.If you’re mad,you can vent on me,you don’t have to disrespect my family."Murray stated,defending the one person who had deliberately hurt Melissa.

Melissa stepped forward,and slapped him hard across his face.

"This is how you choose to treat me?,Up till now,even after giving you two beautiful kids you still consider me an outsider,you have never treated me as a member of your family."Melissa’s heart sank.She didn’t expect the one person who was to be beside her,would utter such words.

"Melissa,don’t be selfish.You have taken care of the children for more than a month now.Generally speaking,they’re really adorable."Mrs Gibson finally spoked,but her speech made Melissa even angrier.

"I’ve always been a bad person to you.If I don’t keep those kids,what will you do?"Melissa retorted.

Murray remained silent,while Claire kept kneeling on the ground,refusing to get up.Mr Marc and Mrs Gibson sighed one after another,as though they were persuading Melissa.

"I advise you to think it over."Mr Marc said again.Melissa was completely infuriated,but she couldn’t vent her anger on the old man.She turned to Murray and said,

"There’s only one way to this,either you keep the children,or we divorce!"

Murray was a bit shocked that she would mention divorce again at such a little matter.

"Do you think our marriage is a joke,that you mention divorce as often as possible?"

"Since you have decided to divorce,I consent."Everyone was stunned when they heard Murray’s words.

Melissa looked at him with disbelief.Tears welled up in her eyes,but she blinked severally,preventing them from falling.

"You’re willing to divorce me for the sake of two kids which aren’t yours?It turns out you’ll always love Claire more than you’ll ever love me!"After saying that,Melissa stormed out angrily.

Mr Marc walked up to him in his crutches,he hit him on the back and asked,

"What’s going on?,Why did you agree to the divorce so easily?,Don’t you think you both were getting along pretty well lately?"

Even Mrs Gibson didn’t like Melissa at all.But she just couldn’t agree to the divorce.
