Chapter 64: Endless Jungle

"I need to go talk to the headmaster," without explaining anything to Jyrana, he rushed past him. She didn’t follow after him for some time, just stared in shock.

’Fuck,’ he remembered the cat being telling him to speak to the headmaster, and now that he had a quest, he had to complete it otherwise he would die.

’That old man probably won’t be happy,’ as he walked out, he recalled all the papers the old man was covered in, and now Klaus would dump even more information on him.

He walked by a couple of students who turned towards him instantly, as if they were seeing a ghost.

’Is it that obvious?’ as he walked towards the main building, he was approached by a familiar face who grabbed into his arm and pulled him to the side.

"What in the world happened?" It was Professor Eirlys who seemed stunned as she stared at Klaus up and down as if something was wrong with his body.

"I have to talk to the headmaster now—" He tried to pull his hand away, but he couldn’t break free from her grasp.

"Of course, but your mana is leaking everywhere." Worry was evident in both her face and tone as her long ears twitched slightly.

’What?’ He looked down at his own body, but he didn’t see or feel anything. ’Could it be why Jyrana was staring?’

She now caught up to Klaus finally, and her eyes met with the professor’s.

"Something is wrong with him, Professor!"

"Yes, of course, I can tell."

"Maybe we need to take him to the infirmary."

"No, that wouldn’t be a good idea."

"I HAVE to talk to the headmaster," he finally managed to break free from the professor’s grasp, which left even Eirlys herself shocked.

Without even saying anything further, he rushed into the main building, running away from the two since they were clearly ignoring what he was saying at this point.

Many students stared flabbergasted at him as he walked by, but he didn’t have time to pay attention to them.

After some time, he arrived at the headmaster’s office. As he was about to knock on the door, it flung open instantly. The professor was already standing in the doorway, like he was waiting for him.

"We need to talk, headmaster."

"Come in now." He also looked worried as Klaus walked in, and he shut the door behind him instantly, not letting anyone see or hear anything they were about to talk about.

"What happened?"

The headmaster took a seat and waited for Klaus to finally speak up; however, he was trying to gather his thoughts and phrase it properly.

"I had a vision. I must visit the temple of Orined..." Instead, he just said what he was told by the fat cat.

The headmaster’s eyes widened instantly, and he started rummaging through a shelf.

"Uh, headmaster?" He didn’t reply to Klaus as his hands became a blur as he rummaged through items.

"Are you sure it was a vision?" The headmaster seemed worried as his voice was shaky for some reason.

"Yes, it was a cat telling me some stuff—"

"I see," He didn’t even question what Klaus was saying like it was the most normal thing in the world. "I will teleport you now, close to a temple. I cannot directly teleport you there." Worry was evident in his tone as he took out a book and blew some dust off it.

’What is that...?’

"We need an advanced teleportation spell for it." He revealed as if he had just read Klaus’s thoughts.

Then he opened the book on the first page. Klaus tried to peek at the text; however, he couldn’t understand it at all.

"Rhina Maye taba," He started doing an incantation, or that is what it seemed like.

’That reminds me of my own book...’ Both of the books were written in what seemed like similar languages; however, the book the headmaster was holding was pure white with black writings, contrary to his black book.

’It’s like they are direct opposites..’

"Headmaster, I have a question." Marcus instantly looked up at him, waiting for him to speak up.

"What do I expect there? What is there—"

"I don’t know myself." Marcus cut him off whilst shaking his head.

’What?’ Klaus’s lips twitched as Marcus continued the spell, ’If he doesn’t know, then could it be that dangerous?’

Blue stars started floating up from the ground around him, as if he was being taken by some aliens.

"Good luck, you definitely will need it..." The stars surrounded him, and his vision blurred yet again; however, instead of multiple colours shining up and becoming a rainbow, it was pure white, like he was in heaven again.

After that, it was silence, then a yellow-coloured flash in front of his eyes, like he was directly in front of the sun. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

After that, trees started appearing in his vision, and his feet began sinking.

’What the fuck?’ His vision finally cleared up, and he was in a swamp or a jungle. He couldn’t exactly tell.

He heard birds chirping and flying around; his feet made wet, soaked sounds as he stepped around in the deep water. Trees towered over him, covered by moss and messy leaves; he couldn’t even see the sun through the leaves.

’Where am I?’ There was nothing in sight other than endless trees, no help from the system either, nothing.

’Do I have to find the temple or something?’ He had no clue where to even go; however, he couldn’t just stand still idle.

’I don’t have much time...’ He recalled the quest which said he had three days to finish it.

’Mirror movement,’ he started dashing around the jungle, his body becoming a blur as the water parted after him due to his sheer force of rushing through it.

He dodged trees and animals as he went around the jungle; however, he didn’t find anything after minutes had passed.

’Fuck,’ he stopped as he headbutted a tree, making him fall back into the water, soaking through his entire outfit and covering himself in dirt.
