Grayson Quinn stepped forward to catch up, and after two steps, he stopped and looked back at Aurelia Shaw, a teasing smile playing at his lips, "Miss Shaw, if you’re afraid of being caught by reporters, you can stay back. But since you’ve come all this way, I’ll be sure to let Brother Mason know once he wakes up."

Aurelia waited outside the operating room for three to four hours until Mason Nightshade was pushed out and into the hospital room.

The doctor took off his mask, "The surgery was very successful, mainly because treatment was delayed for a few days, so he needs to recuperate for some time. It’s best not to overwork during this period."

Aurelia nodded, "Thank you, doctor."

Aurelia returned to the hospital room, where someone was guarding the bedside. Junia Simpson was looking at the examination report. Hearing footsteps, she turned around, her usually meticulous face showing no expression.

Junia said, "Two ribs have been broken, and there are large bruises on the body, but the X-rays show no damage to internal organs. The situation is relatively optimistic."

Junia glanced at Grayson, then her gaze returned to Aurelia, "Even if Brother Mason was willing, he was injured because of you. Miss Shaw, Brother Mason is lying in a hospital bed unconscious for you, and as his subordinate, I have the right to hold you accountable."

This was a reasoning Aurelia had never heard before.

"I will take responsibility," Aurelia said.
