Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!-Chapter 624: Hot Blood Pulsing
Aurelia gave a faint laugh and hung up the phone.
All of a sudden, she thought of Caspian Parker.
Her brother knew she was filming at Q Mountain. After seeing the news about the earthquake there, would he be worried about her too? 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Aurelia hurriedly called Caspian. The call rang for a long time before someone finally picked up. The signal was crackling with static, and Caspian's anxious voice came through on the other end: "Who's this?"
Aurelia had lost her phone during the earthquake and was using someone else's.
"It's me, brother."
There was a pause on the line. "Aurelia? Where are you? Are you hurt?"
"I'm not hurt, I'm fine. I'm at a hospital in Q City now."
"Why are you at the hospital?" Caspian asked.
Aurelia glanced at Mason Nightshade, pursed her lips, and said softly, "Mason got hurt saving me."
There was a long silence on the phone. Aurelia thought she could hear the sound of an exhale—very soft, she couldn't be sure if she really heard it. The background was noisy, and the signal was poor. She didn't know where Caspian was.
"Brother…"
She was just about to say something when Caspian's voice came through: "I'm just glad you're alright. Mason finally did something I approve of. Aurelia, I've got things to deal with here. Take care of yourself. Since you're at the hospital, go get a thorough check-up, okay?"
"I understand. Go do what you need to do, brother."
"Okay."
As Aurelia hung up, she heard someone on his end shout, "Another survivor found! Somebody come here, quick!"
Aurelia froze. Was her brother at the earthquake site? Was he so worried about her that he came all the way to Q City to look for her?
Aurelia immediately called Albert. Albert's voice also sounded anxious as he asked in the language of M Nation, "Who is this?"
Aurelia was caught off guard. "You're at the earthquake rescue site too?"
Albert paused for a second. "Aurelia? Oh! My God! You're okay? Caspian's been looking for you for days now. You have no idea how worried he's been. God, I've never seen him like this. If he finds out you're safe, he's going to be over the moon!"
"I have to go tell Caspian right now!"
Aurelia felt moved. "I already called my brother just now. Why did you both go over there?"
Albert explained, "I was with Caspian when the news about the earthquake came on. The moment he saw it, his whole face changed. I was afraid he'd get into trouble coming here on his own, so I went with him."
On the other side, a proud woman's voice chimed in: "Brother, tell Aurelia right now and have her stop Caspian. Caspian's gone mad—he's using his precious hands to move rubble! He's crazy! Completely crazy! Did he forget he only just hurt those hands not long ago?"
"My brother, he…" Aurelia's voice was full of worry.
Albert tried to calm her. "Don't worry, Aurelia. Caspian is wearing gloves; his hands won't get hurt. And even though this is your country's disaster, as fellow human beings, I'll stay here and help, too."
Daisy still wanted to say something, but Albert hung up the phone first.
The corners of Aurelia's mouth lifted, but her heart was thundering in her chest. At no other moment had the blood running through her veins felt this fiercely warm. She called Balthazar Shaw. When he answered, his voice shot up with worry as he asked her a million questions. Finally, he let out a long sigh of relief and said, "As long as you're safe, as long as you're alright, your father can rest easy."
