To Byul (Omegaverse)-Chapter 56: Their best bet was to keep him in good spirit
Chapter 56 - Their best bet was to keep him in good spirit
Chin-hwa developed a thought disorder, or Alogia, as some of the specialists would believe to be better suited for his condition.
It happened from the moment Kang-woo left. He believed he could hear his stuffed animals talking to him when in fact, it was just his thoughts playing out to him.
And so he would respond, as if having a conversation with them.
It was the result of keeping his words and thoughts to himself, suffering from depressed thinking and lack of answers. When there was no one to answer his question, his thoughts would give him an answer while he stared at his plushies, even though those answers weren't exactly accurate.
He felt no one was listening to him and no one was giving him answers after having begged and pleaded to be told why Kang-woo had to leave.
So, he started speaking to his stuffed animals instead.

His family discovered this when watching him on the spy cam they secretly installed in his room, fearing that he would hurt himself because of depression and heartache.
The doctors watched the same thing and concluded on his condition. All he needed to do was have therapy with a psychotherapist but that was quite the predicament.
They hadn't been able to get him to do anything since he locked himself in his room, so how were they going to get him to go to therapy?
So, Chin-hwa never went to therapy. In fact, not everyone was okay with the idea of taking him to a psychotherapist because it made it seem like he had gone crazy.
"It's cute that he speaks to his animals." Woo-bin had said. "And so long he's not causing harm to himself, I say we let him be. We can at least do that much for him."
The condition wasn't exactly severe so they decided to look at it in a brighter light.
And since he only spoke to his stuffed animals when he was depressed, mentally using his own thoughts as a response to them, it didn't happen often.
Their best bet was to keep him in good spirits.
"My Hyung brought me back last night?" Chin-hwa asked and then nodded. "Well, that makes sense since he was the one who carried me out as well."
But who was to say that he wasn't really talking to his animals who saw the things his sleeping self did not see?
"I'm going to take a bath." Chin-hwa said, taking off his shorts. "I need to congratulate Yun-tae on his success as well. Since Kang-woo is now his boyfriend, I think I have carried out the first favor ever asked of me." He tried to smile but his face felt stiff. "I know, I won't cry."
He got inside the shower and then got out, heading for the fridge and reaching for a canned beer.
"This sucks." He muttered and was about to open the bear when his phone rang.
He had to put the beer down first and then pick up his phone while also reaching for his hair dryer.
It was Deok-ryu.
"Hyung," Chin-hwa called, trying to sound as hearty as he could.
"Awn, have you been up this whole time?" He asked. "It's still 6 in the morning."
"Well, unlike someone who's already finished their studies and messing around instead of taking the family company, I still need to go to school."
The arrows all labeled 'unserious Hyung' shot directly at Deok-ryu's heart and he bled from his mouth. He clutched his chest as invisible tears of sadness streamed down his cheeks quite dramatically.
"I'm sorry, this Hyung will do better." He said and Chin-hwa laughed. "Anyway, I brought you home last night since I am well aware of how serious my little baby brother is about his studies. Didn't want you to miss your precious lectures."
"Thank you." Chin-Hwa said, putting the phone on loudspeaker and dropping it on the bed so he could focus on drying his hair.
"Did you just get out of the bathroom? I can hear your dryer."
"Yes, I'm currently drying my hair."
"Oh, I'm so jealous of that dryer. I wish I were there to help you dry your hair instead." He gushed and Chin-hwa shook his head. As if he wouldn't need to hold the same dryer to dry his hair. "Okay, have fun, alright? Love you."
"Where are you hurrying to?" Chin-hwa asked, knowing his Hyung would not cut the call so easily.
"Haha, I would like to talk more, but Nari is after my head." He said and cut the call.
Chin-hwa took a moment to understand what was going on and, when he did not get it, shook his head and turned to Milky, the teddy bear.
"You don't get it either, do you?"
Chin-hwa forgot about the heart and focused on getting dressed in the usual outfit, which made him not stand out at all.
Before he wore his cote, he took the bedsheets out of the washing machine and spread them out on the balcony.
Hopefully, when he got back, it hadn't become a huge popsicle. He chuckled.
Chin-hwa wore his coat, tied his scarf around his neck, and wore his beanie. He picked the kitty cat, stared at it, and blushed slightly. He really liked it.
He put it in his bag and was about to head out when he remembered his beer.
"Hm, I shouldn't drink this now. It might spill on my clothes." He put it back in the fridge and took out a canned Coke instead.
He put it in his bag and headed out. His first stop would be his morning class where he would meet up with his friends, but on the way to school, he would pick out something to eat from the breakfast stop in front of their school.
This was his usual morning routine.
He did that and they had their morning class together. They had quite a lot to talk about since they heard Chin-hwa and Yun-tae had spent the weekend together in Chin-hwa's family house.
"Well, we spent only a few hours there, but then an emergency came up, so we had to go spend the rest in Kang-woo's place." Yun-tae explained.
"So, tell me, is he really loaded?" Dong-cha asked. She looked extremely excited and Yun-tae glanced at Chin-hwa briefly as if seeking permission, and when Chin-hwa did not react or raise his hand from what he was doing, he went ahead to answer,
"Yes,"
"But how come you are on a first-name basis with him already?" Beom asked, adjusting his glasses.
"Well, we got close." Yun-tae answered, suddenly blushing and Seoung-bo caught on.
"Oh my, oh my, oh my. Is that a blush I see?" She asked, drawing closer and pushing Dong-cha aside with her eyebrows tilting up with utmost interest. "I have an eye for these things. So tell me, how close did you two become?"
