"Do I have a place in your heart?"

After that question, it all went silent for a while with all eyes on Chin-hwa.

Before he could respond, Hae-won suddenly clutched his chest, as a wide spread of pheromones started leaking uncontrollably from him.

Everyone at the table was either Omegas or Alphas, so they could all smell the pheromones. It came out all of a sudden that the other Alphas had to cover their nose right away if they didn't want to be affected while his partners took charge.

"I got you." Baek-Hyun said, suddenly grabbing him by the wrist and pulling him out of the chair. He bent down and swept Hae-won off his feet and started heading for their room.

"Okay, it seems like dinner will have to end here for today." Woo-bin said smiling at them. "Ga-ram, Tae-won, we're going to have to leave the kids with you. Is that okay?"

"Sure, just get going." Tae-won said. "We'll leave soon, so we'll take them along."

"I'm going out for a while." Deok-Ryu said and Si-woo followed him.

"We can't breathe in this." She said, and Yun-Tae watched Kang-woo get up from his chair and head out as well.

"What's going on?" Yun-Tae asked in whispers and Chin-hwa turned to him.

"I'm not sure but I think my mom just went into heat all of a sudden." He said, and Yun-Tae tilted his head.

"He went into heat? A heat?" He was a little confused, but he looked towards Woo-bin, who showed his appreciation and started walking away, heading in the direction Baek-Hyun carried Hae-won. "Just like that?"

"I don't know how it works either. And I don't have the interest to find out." Chin-hwa said.

"But what if you suddenly go into heat? How will you solve that?"

"Well, I take suppressants all the time, so I won't suddenly go into heat." Chin-hwa answered calmly. "What about you? Don't you take suppressants?"

"No, not really." Yun-Tae answered quite shyly. "I'm a recessive Omega, so I don't think I'll suddenly go into heat."

"Huh?" Chin-hwa's eyes widened. "You don't? But that's dangerous. You could suddenly go into heat and then... You'd," he lowered his voice, eyeing everyone around. And then he whispered, "...need an Alpha to calm you down with his pheromones."

"How does that work?" A clueless Yun-Tae asked.

"You'd need to sleep with an Alpha, only then will his pheromones calm you down. But of course, there's also something called a pheromone shower, but even if you don't have to have intercourse, you'd still get intimate with them. So, unless you have an Alpha partner, don't take your heat so lightly just because you're recessive."

Yun-Tae blinked and then his face flushed. That was quite a lot of information to take in at once. He covered his face and looked away.

Chin-hwa smacked his hand over Yun-Tae's mouth, and Yun-Tae blinked, shocked and wondering why he suddenly did that.

"Please, they're my parents." He said, showing the discomfort on his face. "I don't want to hear about the things they do in closed doors."

Yun-Tae quickly realized it and nodded.

Chin-hwa sighed and took his hand back.

"Chin-hwa, you said you take suppressants regularly to avoid going into heat often. Do you think that's very effective?" He asked. "And if it is, then does that mean your mom doesn't take suppressants?"

"That's..." Chin-hwa was at a loss for words and so he shook his head and said, "I don't really know. But I do hope that's the case. If it turns out they're not very effective then I will start living in fear for no reason. So, let's not go into that. I'll just assume my mom doesn't take suppressants since they live alone while their children are out. It must be fun for them."

Yun-Tae wondered about that. Chin-hwa said so much to him and he probably hadn't realized it. He was happy though. And he got to understand heat very well too.

He hated to admit it but as an Omega, he was very ill-informed. So, if he had suddenly gone into heat and in an unfavorable position, he wouldn't know what to do.

"Does that explain why they all went out?" Yun-Tae resumed his questions and Chin-hwa answered, yet again calmly.

"They're Alphas." He said. "They wouldn't want to lose control just by sniffing in my mom's heat pheromones. I heard it's very hard to withstand. Omega heat pheromones, I mean."

"But why is that Ahjusshi alright?" Yun-Tae asked, pointing at Tae-won.

"Probably because he is a marked Alpha." Chin-hwa answered and glanced at Yun-Tae. "I don't know too much about that, but just know that Alpha's who have been marked by Omegas can't cheat. The only pheromones they recognize are their partners. If it's not that, then nothing can move them."

"Wow, that's pretty awesome." Yun-Tae said, a hint of excitement in her voice. "It'll make the Alphas very loyal. I like it."

Chin-hwa watched Yun-Tae beam in excitement.

"It goes both ways." He suddenly said and Yun-Tae turned to him. "A marked Omega can't cheat either. If they try, all they'll feel is pain."

"Hm, I guess that's okay then."

"It is, if it's with consent." Chin-hwa suddenly turned serious. "Yun, the reason why I told you to be careful with your heat is because, if an Alpha gets to you while you're in heat, they may mark you with sinister intentions. And once they do, it's over for you. Better to be marked by the person you want to spend the rest of your life with," He got up and Yun-Tae's eyes followed him. "... rather than someone who casted their eyes on you while you were defenseless and had no will to fight it. I care about you that's why I'm telling you this, so take heed."

Yun-Tae watched Chin-hwa walk away and his eyes grew emotional. They became teary all of a sudden.

"Ah," he exclaimed and cleaned the tears from his eyes. "He fooled me real good. How was I supposed to know you care about me so much if you never said anything about it? Hwa, I'm so grateful for your warning. If not for you, I wouldn't have known any of this." He mumbled and his gaze slowly fell, turning sad. "I would've stayed oblivious."
