Chapter 246: Chapter 246: I Want to Apologize to Her

Mrs. Clementine Coleman froze, then blurted out, "Clementine, what’s gotten into you?"

Clementine rolled around on the sofa, her voice tinged with anguish. "What am I going to do? She definitely doesn’t like me anymore. What am I supposed to do..."

Suddenly, she sat bolt upright, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Mrs. Clementine Coleman. "Mom, since Auntie Jean wants them to get a divorce, why don’t you help persuade them?"

"Persuade them to do what?"

"To get a divorce, of course," Clementine said gleefully. "If she doesn’t have to worry about household chores, maybe she’ll come by the set more often."

Mrs. Clementine Coleman was stunned into silence. It took her a long time to even begin to process the idea that her daughter might be gay.

On set, Renee Jennings came by to see Clementine as usual, taking the opportunity to check on the production of the film *Youth*.

"Rachel, if I want to apologize to someone, what kind of gift would seem the most sincere?" Clementine asked, her brow furrowed as she sat worriedly in her trailer.

Renee Jennings considered this carefully, then replied with the gentle warmth of a big sister, "When it comes to gifts, it’s always best to give them something you know they’ll like. If you can make her happy first, the apology will come much more naturally."

Clementine nodded eagerly, her face lighting up. "Thank you so much, Rachel."

A small smile touched Renee Jennings’s lips. "It’s no problem. I’m happy I could help. But Clementine, who are you planning on apologizing to? Do you mind telling me? If I know them, I might be able to help you brainstorm some gift ideas. Two heads are always better than one."

Clementine’s eyes lit up. "I need to apologize to Naomi Kenway." She lowered her head slightly, and her voice grew quiet. "We had a bit of a misunderstanding a while ago. Even though she didn’t get mad at me, I feel like I made things really unpleasant for her." Her voice was laced with distress. "I don’t even know how it happened... I just want to apologize to her as soon as possible..."

At the mention of Naomi Kenway’s name, a strange expression crossed Renee Jennings’s face. She asked again, uncertainly, "You just said Naomi Kenway? You’re apologizing to *the* Naomi Kenway? From this production?"

Clementine nodded, confused. "What’s wrong? Rachel, you don’t look well."

Renee Jennings’s face turned ashen. "What’s going on? Clementine, haven’t I told you that Naomi Kenway is not a good person? When did you start getting involved with her?"

Clementine was taken aback by her tone and felt a prickle of annoyance. "It’s my right to be friends with whomever I choose. No one can interfere with that."

"That’s not what I meant..." Renee Jennings explained hurriedly. "Clementine, have you forgotten what I told you? Naomi Kenway is selfish and hot-tempered. She is absolutely not someone you should get close to!"

"Rachel, Naomi really isn’t like that. Didn’t you see the news about her recently? She’s a good person. She’s done so much for charity. My dad even praised her after reading about it in the paper."

"That was all just a publicity stunt orchestrated by Naomi!"

"I’ve been on set with her for a long time, and all I’ve ever seen is a hardworking and dedicated Naomi," Clementine said, her serious tone laced with disagreement. "Rachel, you’re mistaken about her."

Renee Jennings’s face paled, but Clementine continued, "A while back, when Naomi was in trouble, why did you post that statement? The one that was clearly aimed at her?"

Renee Jennings forced a smile. "My assistant posted that by mistake. It had nothing to do with me. Clementine, please don’t misunderstand."
