The Villain Mom Awakens — Going Viral by Parenting on a Reality Show-Chapter 245: Nina, Come a Little Closer
The private doctor hurried over. After an examination, he found that Ethan Shaw’s wound showed signs of minor tearing. He re-bandaged it and instructed, "President Shaw, you must not get the wound wet. It’s also best that you get plenty of rest. We don’t want it to tear open a second time."
He gave a final bow. "I’ll go prepare the medication now. Sir, Ma’am, I’ll take my leave."
Naomi Kenway had seen the distinct wound on Ethan Shaw’s shoulder blade. It was clearly caused by a sharp weapon. She frowned. "How did you get this injury?"
"I got hurt on the road. It was an accident."
"Do you take me for a fool? How did you really get this injury?"
The urgency in her own voice made Naomi Kenway pause. Just as she was about to explain herself, she heard Ethan Shaw chuckle softly. "Nina, you’re worried about me."
He wasn’t asking; he was stating a fact.
Naomi Kenway licked her dry lips. "Of course I am. If you die, who will give me an unlimited black card?"
"Don’t you worry. I’ll make sure to live a long, prosperous life," Ethan Shaw promised with a straight face.
"Mommy, what are you talking about?" Ian Shaw asked, tilting his head, his big, dark eyes full of confusion. He then rushed to Ethan Shaw’s bedside, his eyes slightly red. "Daddy..."
Ethan Shaw reached out and pinched his son’s cheek, saying seriously, "Daddy wants some grapes."
No more needed to be said. Ian, the dutiful son, took his "mission" and scurried downstairs.
The bedroom door closed again.
"Nina, come a little closer."
Naomi Kenway leaned closer and was gently pulled into an embrace. His thin, sensual lips brushed against her ear. "This way," he murmured, "I’ll definitely recover much faster."
His warm breath washed over her ear, and a shiver ran down Naomi Kenway’s slender frame. "You... What kind of nonsense is that?"
"Being in a good mood helps wounds heal faster. I believe that’s scientifically proven, isn’t it?"
A faint, inexplicable blush crept onto Naomi Kenway’s cheeks, as if she were wearing rouge.
Ethan Shaw watched her from the side, his gaze deepening. He suddenly felt a strong urge to kiss her.
Just as he lowered his head, he heard a sound from the doorknob, and Naomi Kenway had already taken a step back.
Ian ran in, carrying a bowl of large, round, freshly washed grapes. His eyes were sparkling. "Ian washed them himself! Daddy, you have to get better quickly."
Ethan Shaw smiled and ruffled his hair. "Such a good boy. But next time, remember to knock before coming into the bedroom, okay?"
Ian scratched his head in embarrassment. "I’m sorry, Daddy. Ian was in too much of a hurry."
"It’s okay. Ian did a great job."
Naomi Kenway stepped out to take a call, leaving the father and son in the bedroom, staring at each other.
"Daddy, you’re a bad guy!" Ian said.
"Why?"
Ian hugged his arms, a pout on his fair little face. "You made Mommy angry today. Mommy was really sad. Ian knows."
"I’m sorry." Ethan Shaw apologized with genuine sincerity. "It’s all Daddy’s fault. Daddy shouldn’t have made Mommy angry and sad, and I shouldn’t have made Ian worry. This will be the last time. Can you forgive Daddy?"
"You have to promise not to make Mommy angry again. Let’s make a pinky promise."
After their pinky promise, Ian forgave Ethan Shaw. His small, chubby hand grasped Ethan Shaw’s large one. "Daddy, you have to get well soon, okay?"
’Ian looks so much like me.’ He remembered his grandmother saying they were like two peas in a pod as children, as if cast from the same mold.
Ethan Shaw carefully studied the innocent, cherubic face before him, still plump with baby fat. ’The shape of his eyes and brows are just like mine, but the curve of his lips is the spitting image of Naomi Kenway’s.’
’This is my own flesh and blood,’ he thought. ’I know this is my responsibility as a father, a duty I must bear.’
His gaze fixed on Ian’s lips, and this time, Ethan Shaw felt a secret joy welling up inside him.
’This is my child with Naomi Kenway, the fruit of our love, born from the fusion of our flesh and blood.’
Ian blinked his big eyes, looking a little confused. It was the first time he had ever seen such a gentle expression in his father’s eyes.

The film crew was rushing to meet their deadline, so Naomi Kenway returned to the set the next day, leaving Ethan Shaw in the care of the maids at home.
Perhaps because her mind was a mess, Naomi Kenway’s performance wasn’t up to her usual standard. She sincerely apologized, "I’m so sorry, I’m not quite in the right frame of mind today. I’m holding everyone up. I’ll get myself together as soon as possible."
Naomi Kenway was usually extremely professional, so everyone was understanding about this minor hiccup and told her to make sure she got some rest.
During a break, Naomi Kenway received a call from Jenna Shaw.
"I’m so sorry, Naomi. I can’t make it out this afternoon. Let’s reschedule our shopping trip for another time." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Naomi Kenway then remembered she had made plans with Jenna Shaw to go shopping while they were in the dressing room. With so much on her mind lately, she had completely forgotten.
"It’s fine, Jenna. Are you not feeling well?"
"No, it’s not that. My mom’s sick. She’s in bed right now."
Naomi Kenway subconsciously thought of what Ethan Shaw had said, and of his injury. She asked, "What happened?"
"Sigh." Jenna Shaw’s voice dropped. "I think my brother had a huge fight with my mom. She’s been depressed since yesterday, and I’m a little worried about her. I can’t believe my brother would argue with Mom. He never talks back to her... I asked my dad, but he was in a bad mood and didn’t want to tell me anything. Naomi, do you have any idea what happened?"
Naomi Kenway’s mind was in turmoil. "I don’t know either."
Jenna Shaw said, "I heard about what happened at the engagement party. You were treated unfairly, Naomi. I’ll be sure to have a talk with our mom and get her to drop those ideas of hers."
"Mm..."
"Naomi, my mom’s calling for me. I’ll talk to you later."
After hanging up, Naomi Kenway fell into deep thought.
’It’s obvious that Ethan Shaw had a huge fight with Jane Chandler. I never thought he’d actually turn on his own mother for me.’
For a moment, Naomi Kenway couldn’t quite put a name to the feeling in her heart.
’The last person who protected me like this... was my mother.’

「Clementine Coleman Residence」
"Clementine, the marriage arrangement with the Shaw Family is off. You don’t have to go on any more blind dates," Mrs. Clementine Coleman said.
Clementine Coleman was sitting on the sofa, munching on an apple. Hearing the news, she looked up in pleasant surprise. "For real?"
"Your Auntie Jean said she won’t be meddling in her son Ethan Shaw’s business anymore. What a shame," Mrs. Clementine Coleman sighed.
"What’s the shame in that? I’m not into men who’ve been married before, and I don’t want to be anyone’s stepmom," Clementine Coleman retorted. "I’m loaded. Why should I put myself through that? Besides, that Ethan Shaw obviously looked down on me. He’s so full of himself he wouldn’t even look me in the eye. And anyway, how could I..."
As she spoke, she grabbed a throw pillow and started wailing. "She definitely dislikes me now, she must hate me! What am I going to do? AHHHH! I don’t want her to hate me... No, wait, she’s such a terrible person, but I really, really don’t want her to hate me..." Clementine Coleman was a mess of distress and inner conflict.
"You silly girl. Ethan Shaw is exceptionally handsome, and he’s unstoppable in the business world. If you married him, your life would be nothing but luxury."
"Oh. Well, I’m more interested in his wife."
