The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 72: Ch : Returning to Dungeon #36- Part 5
"The sky...it’s falling-! We need to get out of here before it reaches us. Kyle, come here."
Lynn was the first one to snap out of his daze and he reached out to grab my arm and yank me away from the monsters.
My feet felt glued to the ground and it was only thanks to Lynn that I was able to move around even a little bit. I thanked him and quickly ran after him toward the exit. Kuro was the one who guided our way.
"Come this way. Hurry up because the dungeon is unstable. I don’t know what caused our lord to get angry like this, but the situation is not good."
Kuro told us all as my body started to recover.
"Your lord is doing all this? What kind of lord is this?"
Lynn asked and I wanted to agree. But Kuro got frustrated at those words and decided to explain.
"It is not our lord’s fault-! He’s just existing and all these worlds, or dungeons as you call them, are formed from his consciousness. So when he is angry or annoyed, these dungeons start to collapse."
Kuro explained and I still felt a little confused. I quickly pieced together what I knew of this situation to get a clearer picture.
"So, let me get this straight. There used to be two powers that formed everything and one of these powers you call your lord split up in two parts – good and evil – and formed these worlds based on their powers. Meanwhile, the second power disappeared, never to be seen again? Is that right?"
I asked Kuro and he looked frustrated.
"Well, that’s not exactly right. The good and evil are not separate...they are just a part of our god. As for the other power...there is no telling whether it disappeared or if our god captured it to use it...it’s a complicated affair and no one knows the whole story."
The more Kuro explained the more I got the feeling that even he did not know anything about it. But no matter what the real story was, the fact that these dimensions worshiped a single lord made him much more important.
And I had already learned why it was so important for the lord to be happy. It was a matter of survival for these monsters.
"I can see it-! The exit. We are almost there. Let’s hurry-!"
Kuro told us as he picked up pace. I allowed Lynn to go in front of me as I used my knife to attack the hand reaching for my leg.
When I looked behind, one of the monsters looked right in my eyes as he kept holding on to me.
"This is your fault. You did this to us-"
Anyone else would have felt guilty hearing those words and slowed down. But all they did was make me act faster.
"Sorry, but your guilt trap does not work on me. I have far too much blood on my hands to feel any emotions toward your kind."
I told the monster before I got rid of it and ran toward the exit.
Kuro exited first, followed by Lynn and then I ran out. Seconds later, there was a loud explosion and even the facility built around the dungeon shook as the dungeon met its end.
And just like that, dungeon #36 was no more.
I felt a little annoyed at the fact that I wasted so much time in there, only to get more questions rather than answers. But then I looked at Kuro and he had a blank expression on his face as he looked at the now destroyed dungeon.
His eyes carried guilt, shock and even anger and longing. But before any of these emotions could take root, he pulled himself together and threw the small vial toward me.
I caught it but Lynn looked shocked at the sudden motion.
"Hey, what the hell do you think you are doing-! Kyle, are you alright?"
Lynn asked, running toward me to see whether I was hurt or not. But Kuro just scoffed at the hunter’s worry.
"I would never hurt Kyle. He is too precious to me. Anyway, I am tired now so I will go to sleep. Take care of yourself and do not get hurt in the meantime."
Kuro told me before he lost his form and went back inside the vial.
I had not expected Kuro to make such a decision. Especially after tasting the freedom that he had just gotten.
"Huh-! Did he retreat...just like that? Are you sure we can trust this creature? Do you want me to take it off your hands?"
Lynn asked me with an almost worried face but I pulled the vial back toward me.
"No, it’s fine. I will keep Kuro with me. We should hurry up and get out of here before anyone else comes to check out what happened here."
I told Lynn and we went our separate ways...for now.
______
"Kyle...no..."
The image of Kyle getting stabbed embedded itself in Theo’s mind and he felt his mind slip because of this. All kinds of thoughts came to his mind and even the voice in his head seemed to have gone quiet.
And then, he heard a loud but angry voice.
"How dare those vermin...they don’t deserve to live. I gave them a chance and this is what they do to my omega-"
The angry voice made Theo flinch but the words made him agree with the speaker.
Even he could not forgive and forget the people who harmed Kyle like that.
"Hey shell, I don’t like you much. And I especially do not like the fact that you get to spend time with my omega when I cannot even touch him. But I am willing to make a concession. If you allow me access to your body, I will show you a way to save Kyle."
The entity in Theo’s head asked and he had a feeling that if it wanted, it could overpower him easily. There must be a reason why it was not taking over Theo’s body.
But the heat in Theo’s brain made it impossible for him to be able to think about anything other than Kyle and the need to go back to him.
"K-Kyle... I need to see Kyle..."
That was all the thought Theo’s brain could form and the entity behind him sighed.
"I want to see him as well. Unlike you, I have not seen him ever since the dungeon collapse. But you need to break your rut first. So hurry up, you mutt."
The voice told Theo and Theo panted. His body gave another pang as arousal shot through him and made him unable to move.
"K-Kyle... I want to go...Kyle...ugh..."
Theo’s hard penis throbbed with the need to knot and Kyle’s image behind his eyes did not help. His teeth itched to bite something and in his desperation, Theo could only think of one thing.
His poor arm took the brunt of his rage and blood began to seep out around his fangs. The wound was deep, but healed within seconds.
But the mere seconds of the teeth marks he saw made him wonder how good they would look against Kyle’s neck.
