The Top Omega Hunter Wants a Quiet Life [BL]-Chapter 62: Ch : Danger- Part 2
"Be careful of the monsters. I can sense them all around us. Tsk, this has never happened before."
Rhiner gritted his teeth as he felt the presence of monsters circling around him and his team. He suddenly regretted bringing two more members into the dungeon with him.
’This would have been so much easier had I been alone in here. Now I have to take care to keep two other people alive.’
But as much as Rhiner regretted what he did, he knew that there was no way out of the situation. Especially with the communicator not working properly.
He used his powers to create a defensive barrier around himself and the others in his party when he suddenly felt a spark of power heading his way.
Rhiner braced himself for the impact, only for Lee Minho to stop in front of him.
"Tsk, you brought more burden with you in here? You should start leaving your teammates behind or you won’t be able to get anything done in the future."
Lee Minho warned, and Rhiner suddenly felt relieved to see him. After all, Lee Minho was a strong alpha and a reliable ally.
"L-Lee Minho-! It’s Lee Minho-! We are safe now."
The other two behind Rhiner cheered to see another familiar face, but Lee Minho quickly turned toward them and frowned.
"Hey, don’t think I will save you if you are in trouble. You came here knowing the danger, so you need to take care of yourself."
He reminded the other two, but Rhiner’s teammates only smiled at him. They had utter confidence that the alpha would help them out.
Rhiner sighed and looked at Lee Minho as well.
"Well, under usual circumstances, I would agree that those who came here need to take care of themselves. But don’t you think there is something weird going on around here? I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this tense air around the dungeon."
Rhiner’s words made Lee Minho frown.
As much as he wanted to disagree with Rhiner, Lee Minho had sensed the air around the dungeon as well and realized that something was wrong.
The monsters had come too close to the ’safe zone’ and there was no guarantee that they would behave.
"You are right. We do need to help our people out in some regard. What do you suggest we do? The association would only react once the semi-finals end. Should we head forward and end it for them?"
Lee Minho asked and Rhiner nodded.
"Usually, the top hunters hold back for the sake of training others. But this time the situation is different. We need to quickly find the other flags and then get out of here. The dungeon is much more dangerous than any of us expected."
Rhiner warned and they all quickly got to work. Their next objective was clear—to find the flags and then return back home.

"Are you tired or anything? Do tell me if you feel like you can no longer go on. I will carry you in my arms-"
"How about you pay attention to what is in front of you and stop speaking?"
I was getting irritated with Lynn’s attempts to make friends with me. The alpha was trying a little too hard to the point where it felt like he was trying to irritate me.
’Tsk, I might be acting like a different person, but Lynn is still behaving so irritatingly toward me. If only not for this situation...ugh...’
I wanted to hit Lynn hard. But I also knew that now was not the time. He was too precious of an ally to hurt.
"H-Huff... can someone help me? I c-cannot keep up-"
Klein spoke up from behind us as he huffed. Unlike me and Lynn, he looked utterly exhausted and looked ready to collapse under Joshua’s weight.
I felt pity for him, but I also thought of the A-ranked hunter as a disgrace. As an A-class, there should be no reason for him to feel tired like that.
’Unless he’s faking his rank and is actually a lower class. It’s not like the ranks were ever publicly announced. And physical records could be altered.’
The association was a shady place where money and power talked. I was beginning to be sure that they had tampered with the overall rankings of the championship as well.
Thankfully, the global system was not something they could alter and they could not put people up on the leaderboard as they wanted.
’Should I take a peek? Just to confirm whether this person is really an A-class or not. Overestimating him would be a huge problem for us...’
I almost opened my system to check when Lynn spoke up.
"Hey, are you really an A-class hunter? You have no stamina nor stats to be able to keep up with us. Did you somehow bribe the association?"
Lynn asked, coming to the same conclusion as I did.
Klein looked shocked and he quickly stuttered his answer.
"T-That is not the case. I am truly an A-ranked... I just... lack training... that’s all..."
He tried to justify why he was so weak. But even as he spoke, his voice got smaller and smaller. Even he knew that he had messed up in front of us.
Sigh
"We are not trying to interrogate you or anything. We just want to know the truth so that we can plan for the future. We need to know whether we can trust you to fight or not."
I told the alpha and he looked taken aback. But he was still not willing to tell us the truth.
"I truly am an A-class. I am not lying to you or anything. You have to believe me."
The alpha swore once more and I decided to let the topic lie. After all, what could I even do when the other side was convinced of this?
"Hmm, since you are so confident, I am sure you will stay true to your words and take care of yourself from here on. Both Manet and I will be too busy so you will have to go solo for some time. You can hand over the omega to us as well."
Lynn told the other alpha and Klein panicked.
"I... that is..."
I decided to take a peek at Klein’s system.
[Klein Smith, rank: A]
Much to my surprise, he was not lying. This guy, despite being so weak physically, was an A-ranked hunter.
"Hmm, I think we should give him a chance. Liar or not, we need to get as many people out of the dungeon alive as possible. We can look into the association and their crimes later."
I told Lynn and he looked taken aback by my sudden change in attitude. But he decided to go with my decision over this topic.
"Alright, if you say so. Then I guess I will pull my punches back for now. But if you try to pull the same thing again, just know that things won’t end that well for you in the future."
Poor Klein shook at the threat. Despite speaking the truth, he was not being believed.
But as much as I pitied him, I was not going to help him either.
