A soft and weak voice suddenly broke the silence. Si Tang turned quickly upon hearing it and saw her mother. Madam Si, Su Jian, was leaning weakly against the doorway. "Mom... You should not be out of bed." Si Tang said anxiously as she rushed over to her mother’s side.

"Already left? I heard she was still here this evening." Su Jian said, clearly surprised by the news.

"I heard she was a very beautiful girl. Is it dangerous for her to leave at this hour?" Su Jian asked with concern evident in her voice.

They probably thought that I would end up fighting with Father. During that chaos, both of us might lose our lives. Si Wunjian wanted to inherit the Patriarch position.
